Rose River Inn B&B

We really enjoyed the city of astoria and the Rose River Inn. The room was very comfortable, great view. It was a quick job to the path along the river for a run and we could walk everywhere in town. Food was really tasty in the morning.

We stayed in the River Suite. Everything was clean and neat and the view was beautiful! We enjoyed sitting in the sun room having coffee in the morning. The only drawback we noticed in our entire stay was that the room didn't have much option for hanging clothes. Everything else was wonderful. They have lots of movies to choose from if you want to stay in, and breakfast was healthy and delicious. We even took a walk one evening and enjoyed looking at the historical homes in the neighborhood. The price was a little higher than we would normally spend, but we will definitely stay again.

Hosts were very welcoming, the inn was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

We had a fabulous stay at the Rose River Inn B&B - David and Pam were lovely hosts and our room was perfect. The house is beautiful and in walking distance of all of downtown Astoria and the waterfront. We enjoyed our dinner just down the street at Fort George Brewery, and a nice walk around the neighborhood, checking out the thrift shops and architecture. Pam also made a delicious quiche for breakfast! It was a great weekend away and the Rose River Inn is the perfect place for your next getaway to Astoria!

We stayed in the Sunflare Room during our weekend in Astoria and absolutely loved it. This room has a delightful sun porch with a wall of windows overlooking the river. It's a wonderful place to curl up with a book and a cup of tea! The bed was comfortable, and a faux fireplace in the room helped heat things up when it got a bit chilly. There is also a huge DVD collection downstairs that you are welcome to borrow from. Breakfast consisted of a bowl of coffee, tea, orange juice, fresh fruit, homemade quiche, and some kind of moist yummy lemon cake. All of it was delicious. Our hosts were friendly and gracious. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Astoria!

Pam and David, two very pleasant and accommodating people. Enjoyed my stay in a very comfortable room with a superb bed. Bathroom would be a little nicer with new towels and a more thorough cleaning of tub. Would stay again.

Rose River Inn was the perfect getaway for my wife and I. We needed a short break from our 5 children and busy work schedule and this B&B was perfect. We were right downtown and could walk to many shops and restaurants. The room was wonderful, very relaxing, and comfortable. We loved the historic house, decor, and charming hosts. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be returning.

Rose River Inn is a charming B & B with a gorgeous view of the Columbia. Everything was clean and the owners made me feel very welcome. The room was cozy and the hotel is in a great location, just a few blocks from downtown. I will definitely stay there again!

I cannot wait until my next stay at the Rose River Inn! From the moment my boyfriend and I checked in at the bed and breakfast, we felt so welcome and comfortable as the owners Pam and Dave greeted us, showed us around the establishment and our room (the Othello). They also have the sweetest and friendliest little dog; Penny Lane! There are a lot of charming details throughout the historic structure; from the vintage thermos collection in the entryway to a display of Fiesta Dishware in the dining room, and not to mention the beautiful views from the windows. The Rose River Inn is a very clean establishment, quiet, and the best hospitality and service - the breakfast was wonderful and my boyfriend and I enjoyed conversation with the other guests as well as the owners throughout the meal. Overall it was such a pleasant experience, and a sweet and memorable place to get engaged (!). Look forward to staying there to my next trip to Astoria.

The Rose room was clean, tidy and spacious. Particularly enjoyed the fireplace. Walls are a bit thin though. Hosts are friendly and courteous. Breakfast was perfect to start the day with. We can without a doubt recommend this place.

What a fantastic find. I am a native Oregonian but never stayed in Astoria. The Inn was one of my favorite places I have stayed in the US. I travel a lot, but this place was like home. The house is a beautiful, warm, bright and inviting 100+ year old structure. David and Pam have done an outstanding job remodeling and decorating to the time. My room overlooked the river with large windows all around. The view was so much better than the website shows. It was very cold when I was there, down in the 20's at night, but I was NEVER cold in the house or my room. The temp was perfect. The best part was the morning when all the other guests joined in the living room and had coffee and chatted while Pam cooked up a wonderful breakfast. Fresh fruits, egg dish, and coffee cake was perfect. And just the right amount. Thank you Pam and David for creating such a wonderful environment for people to enjoy. I will definitely be back!

This was our third time staying at the Rose River Inn, and it was just as great as the first two. Pam and Dave are great, and very knowledgable about Astoria. The city is great in the winter, empty and beautiful. Make sure you visit the Astoria Column before you head home!

We stayed at the Rose River B&B to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The location was perfect to explore downtown Astoria by foot, and the owners were very friendly. The room was lovely but the walls were very thin. We could hear other guests and the owners talking, snoring, etc. throughout the house while in our suite.

We loved the people and the house. It was exactly what we were looking for. A short 3 block hike up the hill from town. Almost everything in downtown Astoria is within a 10 min walking (more like casual strolling) distance, which makes the location excellent. It’s quiet there and the people are super nice. The food was also good and lovingly prepared. Our hostess clearly enjoyed what she was doing. The only negative thing that I remember was the number of informative hand-printed instructions in the bathroom as a bit off-putting, from indicating a request to keep the lights off when not in use to how long to hold down the toilet handle; I’m sure there’s a lovely story behind them all. Next time we’re heading to Astoria, the Rose River Inn is definitely on our list to return to.

Great B&B to stay at. We follow a strict vegan diet and Pam had no problems making us delicious meals. Everything you could need is within walking distance. We will definitely recommend to friends, and stay again ourselves.

I have to say this is one of the best Bed and Breakfast places I have stayed in! Pam and her husband David are very hospitable and generous. The cleanliness is outstanding! The breakfast is fabulous (no shortage of food here). Pam is a great cook with a beautiful presentation. Slept wonderful, the bed was great! The location is perfect as you are in walking distance to most everything. Highly recommend!! Looking forward to staying there again!

The Rose River Inn is in a perfect area of Astoria for walking the downtown area. Our room had a beautiful view of the Columbia River and a screened in porch so we were able to open our windows and get a wonderful breeze. Davis and Pam are the perfect hosts -- there when we needed them but definately non-intrusive. Just the perfect blend. The Inn itself is very charming -- full of antiques and collectibles. I enjoyed looking at Pam's collection of Fiesta Ware and her very unique Thermos collection. If we ever get a chance to go back to Astoria, we would definately stay at the Rose River Inn B&B again.

Pam and David are wonderful hosts. They recommended a lounge and cafe that was great fun! If you are in this area do not hesitate to stay at the Rose River Inn.

My husband and I had three wonderful days at the Rose River Inn. We loved the cottage environment, the cleanliness and amenities, and of course, Pam's delicious breakfasts! We will be back!

The B&B is lovely and we loved our little enclosed porch off the Sunflare room. We would definitely stay here again.

After 30 plus years in the hotel industry, I now choose B & B's when I travel for a more personal stay. Rose River is what a B & B should be. Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, lovevly gardens. By the time I entered the front gate I knew it was going to be the best B & B I had stayed at in a while. It was. If you are goint to Astoria-stay here.

I really enjoyed staying here. My room was very warm and inviting, with lots of natural lighting. David and Pam were wonderful hosts, and I must say the best breakfast I have ever had at a B&B, and I've stayed in quite a few. David was very knowledgable about the area and pointed out a few points of interests that I gladly went to check out. I really hope to stay in Astoria again someday and would most definitely stay here again!

Excellent services . .. helped with bags and information. Breakfast with generous servings of fresh fruit and casserole. Tea and coffee avaiable in the afternoon. Rooms very clean and the prices very reasonable for the wonderful accommodations.

Stayed in the Othello room and was very pleased . The room was spacious and relaxing. Almost didn't get out of the clawfoot tub!! Breakfast was exceptional, and we enjoyed visiting with other guests. David and Pam were excellent hosts and their recommendation of a restaurant for dinner was very good. We would definitely recommend Rose River Inn B&B.

We had a very nice, romantic stay at Rose River. The house itself is beautiful along with enchanting gardens. The owners were so welcoming and helpful. The surrounding town of Astoria also shared in welcoming us and providing a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was wonderfully home cooked and the large open windows provided a great view as we dined. We would love to stay here again!

My Fiancee and I drove up from Dana Point, CA to Astoria, OR to begin our lives together. We had a wonderful stay at a very affordable rate with Rose River Inn. Our room was HUGE with a window view of the Columbia and the river traffic waiting to head inland. Pam happily recommended breweries downtown and the inn was well-stocked with pamphlets and brochures of local places of interest. We will definitely use Rose River Inn whenever travel or vacation take us to Astoria!

My husband and I have never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before but thought it would be a nice way to get a feel for the town. We were a little hesitant because we are fairly private people, but Pam & David were absolutely wonderful and made us feel very comfortable. We stayed in the River Room for 4 nights and loved it. Very comfrotable and clean. The breakfasts were great and we met some lovely people.

Would recommend to anyone, Astoria is a cute little town and the house is a couple blocks away from restaurants, shops, and the waterfront. Host & Hostess are extremely nice and the decor of the home is immaculate. Specifically recommend the River Suite for the amazing views!

This was our very first time in a B&B. I have to say that my expectations were met and exceeded!!!! The owners were very nice and friendly and took suck pride in their establishment. They had helpful advise as to where to go to eat and sight seeing. I would go back there if ever I am in Astoria Oregon.

Pam and David have done a great job to keep the house clean and beautiful. i also loved their breakfast (a bowl of fresh fruits, quiche, and homemade brownie) and a large collection of DVDs. the location was very convenient too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Rose River Inn. From our sun room, we had a great view of the Columbia River with its ship traffic and gorgeous sunsets. The breakfasts were delicious with generous portions that were the perfect size as a start for days filled with exploration. The Inn was within easy walking distance from downtown and the riverfront. Our hosts were very hospitable and knowledgeable about local history.

We love the Rose River Inn. It sits on a hill overlookign the Columbia River and downtown Astorai and is in easy walking distance to the downtown area. The gardens are stunning. All in all a very pleasant stay with breakfast not being one of those "in a week I'll be hungry again" but was enough for people to thrive working on the wheat harvest if needed. Astoria is the place to visit in Oregon if you are interested in Lewis and Clark. The first time we vistied here, we missed the Astoria Column. Don't miss it and be sure to toss a glider off the top. David and Pam are great hosts. This was our second time here, so we knew what to expect. We have stayed at perhaps 20 B&Bs throughout the midwest and west. The Rose River is certainly in the top 3-4 of those we have visited. We made a destination of it the second time we visted Oregon. We suggest you do too.

My wife and I spent one night at the Rose River Inn while touring the Oregon Coast. The location was perfect, close to downtown. The hosts had great local recommendations as well as suggestions for Pacific City, which we visited the following week. The rooms aim to be period themed and are comfortable. We would stay again.

Lovely stay. The flowers are outstanding. Located next to historic downtown. Innkeepers were very friendly and offered good information on local restaurants and places to see.

From the luxurious bathmat to the scrumptious bedding, the Rose River Inn provided a great get-away. A note to gluten-free travellers: breakfasts were completely safe and very tasty. Pam understands the dietary requirements very well. Also: no sugary breakfasts at the B & B! Healthy, satsifying breakfasts to start an active day off well!

We were fortunate enough to enjoy the bounty of the garden this August. The most essential elements of a B&B were superb: the linens were supple, the rooms were fully equipped and clean, and the breakfast delicious. Very pleasant hosts.

This was our first stay at a B&B, and we were delighted! We loved the close walking distance to the river front, and old town areas, restaraunts and shopping. The lovely victorian home was comfortable and clean, with a delicious breakfast served by our hosts. I would encourage anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable place to stay, to check out this Bed and Breakfast! We will come and stay again!

We only stayed one night, and wish we'd had time for a longer stay. Very friendly, and in a great location for wandering around town. Very helpful information, such as the fact that the Tram has a website with it's current location plotted on a map, the best place in town for a hoppy IPA and a referral card to a winery that saved us the $10 tasting fee). Breakfast was very good too!

this b&b was a truelly wonderful place that made us feel at home. the room is decorated with love for details, the garden was in full bloom, breakfast was very good - only the bathing tub was inconvenient for showering. the location is very good, too. the hosts were wolcoming and took good care of us.

My boyfriend and I were on a tour of the west coast for my "before I turn 30" birthday. Rose River Inn B&B was definitely a highlight of the trip. It was clean, quiet, close to entertainment and the owners were very personable, gracious and had extensive knowledge of the area. The breakfast that Pam provided was a contender for the best meal we had our entire trip! If we ever return to the area, we will absolutely stay there again.

We have stayed at many B&Bs in Astoria, and this one is by far our favorite! Very nice and clean house, great food, warm and friendly innkeepers, and fantastic location close to town .... All that at a reasonable price, it can't be beat!!!

I booked this location mainly due to the price (very reasonable) and was very pleased with the place. The rooms are spacious with a lovely soaking tub. It is close to several pubs/breweries and the famous Astoria Column. The food was good and all the fruit was locally sourced and top notch. Highly recommended.

This cute B&B isn't the fanciest place, but that's just what makes it so adorable. Antique details mix with modern-day comforts to welcome well-healed and working class travelers alike. Details like a huge DVD collection, breathtaking views of the bay from the dining nook, claw foot tub in my room, and healthy, tasty breakfast with kick-butt coffee made my stay as cozy as a stay at my fairy tale gramma's house. Bonus: you are kitty corner from a nearly haunted old house. Details inside your room!

We had the top floor unit (Inspiration Room) which was large, quiet, and comfortable. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The unit had a little sitting area, with a partial view of the Columbia River. The food was outstanding (loved the gluten-free muffins!). The Rose River Inn was about 4 blocks from the waterfront area, which made for lots of options for walking and enjoying Astoria. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Very nice B&B! Especially liked the extras (flowers and champagne) that I ordered. They were waiting for us on arrival. Wonderful place with relaxing atmosphere. Close to town too.

This was my girlfriend and I's first B&B experience. The room was comfortable with character, David and Pam were very friendly and helpful with suggestions on bike trails and neighborhood activities, it was the same price or less than the hotels I looked at and the breakfast was fantastic! I've never liked keish but Pam is a miracle worker and made one of my favorite breakfast's ever. I would stay here again in a heart beat and I will suggest it to everyone I know.

The Sunflair room with the sitting porch looking out over the Columbia River was cozy, comfortable and beautiful. The house was quite (although all rooms were booked during our stay) giving us the opportunity to begin our weeklong trip thru Oregon with a much needed rest. Pam's breakfast was outstanding, her guacamole could win grand prize at the Avocado Festival, and we're from the Avocado Capitol of the world! Both Pam and Dave made great recommendations for things to see and do around Astoria and the recommendations for dinner were great! All in all a wonderful place to spend some time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rose River Inn B&B. The grounds were beautiful. The hosts were helpful in every way. Breakfast was delicious. Our room had a spectacular view of the river. Our stay was thoroughly entertaining and restful.

We stayed here on the first night of a 9-day road trip and we were so glad we did! We were comfortable and welcomed, despite our very late arrival, the food was fantastic, and they had such great insights into sights to see! It was great to see my tall husband trying to fit into the clawfoot tub! :)

The benchmark for any B&B is whether or not it lives up to advertised expectations. The Rose River Inn meets or exceeds expectations in every respect as to location, condition, landscaping, owners, and meals. We would gladly choose this Inn again if we're in the area.

I was made to feel at home and I the room was everything I needed after a long trip.

We had a lovely room with a river view on the second floor in the back of this 100-year-old home. The property is beautifully maintained, with blooming roses all around and wide porches in the front and back. The only impression that was anything but positive is that the owners have placed small signs around the room and bath about so many rules that it made us feel slightly uneasy. To be fair, the Dos and Don'ts are all reasonable expectations of any guest, such as " turn off lights", "tuck in shower curtain", etc. However it left us feeling like it was difficult to just relax. One wonders if the innkeepers have had many bad experiences with other guests. From this inn, you can walk to great restaurants, interesting shops and take in the waterfront of Astoria.

I am so glad we made the decision to go with a B&B for our stay in Astoria as part of our Oregon Coast road trip. Not only was the place absolutely adorable and charming, it was a much better value compared to the other hotels in the town and my husband and I loved feeling like we had a cozy home base to go back to after exploring all that Astoria had to offer. It's located on a quiet hill with an unbeatable view and is just up the street from the best microbrewery in the town. The proprietors are warm and friendly and have the best recommendations; Pam recommended the best places for us to eat (and enjoy local beers) not just in Astoria but at our next few stops. We were able to walk around and really get a sense of the neighborhood and felt almost like honorary residents by the end of our trip. The breakfasts were fantastic and the amenities exceeded all expectations. We will definitely be back as we adored Astoria and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Definitely the best place we stayed over the course of our whole trip.

We stayed at the Rose River Inn B& B on our first trip to Astoria Oregon. Not only were the owners very helpful and extremely nice but we met some wonderful people from all over the world. We truly had a memorable and refreshing anniversary. Thank you for making our trip so lovely. They were so kind as to call us to let us know we had left behind items. What a nice surprise and heartwarming experience.

David and Pam are welcoming, and the breakfasts are delightful. But what really makes it great is being able to sit in the room's private sunroom and watch the boats go by on the Columbia.

I brought my love to Astoria for the first time in her life and we stay at the rose river. The hosts were nice enough, the room (othello) had a great view of the column and the creepy frick house across the street (which I suggest you walk around with a camera like we did. Its within walking distance of nearly everything but super close to blue scorcher and fort george. Cheap and simple win.

It's obvious as you walk up to the house that it's received tender loving care, from its white picket fence to the comfortable chairs on the porch. Then, Pam and Dave open the door with their welcoming smiles and you feel like you've come home. My suite was beautiful and I slept like a baby. The neighborhood is attractive and the interesting downtown is just a stroll away. Breakfast was good, especially Pam's homemade guacamole. I was truly sorry to leave this wonderful B&B.

The Rose River B&B is well situated in centre town, the hosts very friendly and the garden setting lovely. Our room had a charming sunroom with views of the water, sunsets and ships. Breakfast was good, with lots of fresh fruit.

Me and someone very special stayed at this lovely B&B during the Crab Festival. The room was very clean and very cleverly decorated. The breakfast was extremely yummy and served with that TLC that you would expect. The owners were friendly, helpfull and caring. It was a great stay, and I would definately stay there again. We stayed in the River Room and had an amazing view of the town and the river from there. I loved how the whole place was decorated, and we had very friendly service. I loved that there were bathrobes for us to use and coffee, tea and hot chocolate available at all times of the day or night. And the DVD selection was great as well!

We recently went to Astoria for our birthday weekend, and had a great visit! The Rose River Inn B&B was close to all the downtown shops, restaurants and bars. The inn itself was cute, charming and a great value for a weekend away. We would definitely come for another visit!

Pam and David are wonderful hosts, and this was our second stay at the Rose River Inn. The breakfasts are incredible, and the room extremely comfortable. We will return for another visit.

The hosts, house, rooms and extra touches (coffee at 7 am, robes, wine glasses in room) show that the affable proprietors work hard to maintain their reputation. Price is average for the area and walkability to downtown Astoria is excellent. The only options for breakfast for our dietary needs--arranged in advance (vegan)--meant that breakfast was plain oatmeal, and we would rather have had a few dollars off the room price and gone elsewhere for breakfast. Otherwise, highly recommended.

We found this B&B to be a most comfortable stay. The owners are friendly and have a very good sense of design and quality. If you are desiring time to relax we so recommend Astoria and the Rose River Inn. The inn's location is perfect for walking. A drive to the ocean is close with even a short trip to Seaside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rose River Inn from the service to the food to the rooms. I was very impressed by how clean, warm and comfortable, and pleasant the rooms throughout the b & b were. The owners were so hospitable and kind...we plan to make it an annual trip back to Rose River Inn.

The Rose River Inn was a cosy refuge from the cold windy town and our hosts were very welcoming and provided fantastic, quiet accommodations with great views. They offered us valuable information and tips for our future travels and entertained us with some town history. Overall it was a welcoming experience and very affordable. The breakfast was good but light.

This is a fantastic B&B. Pam and David are SO nice and accomodating and the room was emaculately clean. Tea and hot cocoa available throughout the day on the stairs, which I loved! They have a HUGE selection of DVD's which was perfect for the night we arrived b/c it was raining and stormy so we snuggled up with a fire, hot chocolate and some movies! Breakfast was really good, we are not super big fans of quiche, but it was very good for quiche. They also serve a heaping bowl of fresh fruit before the main dish and it is fantastic! The room we stayed in, the Rose Room, I believe is the only one with a fireplace and we loved it. Views from the room are of a neighborhood but there are cool houses everywhere so we didnt mind. Lots of cool old nick knacks and stuff in the living and dining rooms. All around - a fantastic place to stay!

Very nice B&B and Inn Keepers. Nice room with a private porch overlooking the water. We hit a cold period in Oregon so the room was a bit chilly for Floridians. Inn did provide a Electric Heater which helped a lot. Breakfast was great. Overall, a great experience. If we get back to Astoria will stay there again.

It's always a pleasure to stay here! Pam & Dave are hospitality personified. The rooms are so comfy, nice touch w/ the wine glasses and corkscrew! Breakfast is surpased only by the beauty of their garden. A review wouldn't be complete without mentioning Penny Lane, cutest little dog on the planet. We will be back!

Great bed and breakfast in a fantastic historic neighborhood. Stayed here for a night while traveling through the area with my sister on vacation. We had the spacious attic suite. Breakfast was good and served in well decorated rooms with fantastic views of the Columbia River. Best flower garden I've ever seen at a B&B (and possibly ever from any house).

The location is ideal, well within walking distance of dlowntown. Our hosts were amiable and so hospitable. In the early amorning it was great to sit on our own enclosed sun porch to view the river and scenery while enjoying a quiet moment of reading and relaxing. before going down to a very healthy and scrumptious breakfast, before we started our day of touring.

We enjoyed the Rose River immensely-delightful food, view, rooms and people!

There is simply no better place to stay in Astoria other than the Rose River B&B. The hosts are charming, the room was wonderful, the breakfast delicious, and the location perfect. Short walk to Drina Daisy, a delightful Bosnian restuarant - have the lamb!

The sunflare room was comfortable and charming. We really liked the sun room. The owners were very hospitable and made us feel right at home. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at the Rose River Inn, we booked the River Suite with its beautiful view of the river and ships. David and Pam were very welcoming and provided the guests all the accommodations we needed (and more). The breakfast was fantastic. Would love to stay there if we visit Oregon again.

We stayed a night with Pam and David at their beautiful B&B in Astoria, OR. The room was gorgeous with a view of the Columbia River that was unbeatable! Their hospitality was the best we have ever had at a B&B. David greeted us outside and helped carry our luggage in and up to our room. They were helpful in every way and fun to talk to about owning a B&B. Breakfast was delicious and so filling! Everything you need in Astoria is a short walk from the house so there is no need to drive once you get there. We would definitely go back and hope to make this an annual event. Thank you Pam and David!

The third floor "Inspiration" room was spacious, offered a beautiful view from the bathroom tub (simply needed to fold back the shower curtain enclosure), was cool and refreshing by opening the windows and running a single fan on a unusually warm weekend in Astoria. Beautiful landscaping and flowerbeds on the property. In summary, a great B & B value . But, most important, this particular room (the only room on the 3rd floor) offered great privacy for this romantic couple.

This was a lovely b&b to stay at. Very comfortable and clean with a wonderful view of the river. I couldnt have expected more. The breakfast in the morning was excellent as well. I highly recommend staying here.

We stayed at Rose river B&B for only one night, however our experience was extremely positive. It is an old fashioned house with down to the bear claw bathtub. It is located just a few blocks away from down town Astoria, and is even within walking distance to the Goonies house for all of you fans out there. The bed was super comfortable and coffee and tea were available at 7am. The breakfast consisted of a bowl of fresh seasonal fruits, followed by a DELICIOUS vegetable quiche, and some coffee cake. We met some people who had been there for 3 days and they said the breakfast was great every morning. I would recommend Rose River B&B to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Astoria.

When we approached the house, our eyes widened with delight and hope that this really was the place that we were staying at that night. The outside really looks (and smells!) delightful. We felt welcome the instant we opened the gate to the yard and walked inside. Greeted with a warm smile, it was difficult not to feel at home. This complimented our stay perfectly and will definitely be on our list of places to stay at again.

the house is located 5 minutes walking from main street, the room has an amazing view on the bridge/river, everything in perfect condition,l very clean and the B&B is very organized. the owners are very very kind and helpfull!

My friend and I started a bike tour of the Oregon coast from Astoria, and our first night was spent at the Rose River Inn B&B. It was just lovely and perfect, the hosts were very nice and super accommodating, providing secure storage for our bicycles. The breakfast was to die for!! We felt lucky we found such a wonderful place to start our trip.

This is a very nice inn and we enjoyed the friendly Innkeepers. We were able to see much of Astoria as the Inn is centrally situated. Our room was very clean and the little sitting room off the bedroom was great for enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the Columbia River. We would definitley recommend this Inn to others.

The owners, location and overall experience staying here was excellent. I will definitely stay here the next time I am in Astoria.

This was our first stay in a B&B. We arrived later than expected and Pam and David were still happy to see us. We enjoyed sitting on their porch surrounded by beautiful flowers and talking about the "haunted house" across the street. Make sure you meet Penny Lane, who was a wonderful hostess! We will be back!

This is an incredible gem of a B&B. The hosts are both delightful and warm and the home is so beautiful and just has the right feel for us, not too fussy, but a true B&B experience. Clean beyond all expectations, great sized room and soaking tub. We stayed in Rose but I can imagine they are all as wonderful. This town is a great place to stay and THIS is where you should plan your room:) p.s. penny lane in her bumble bee sweater is the cutest thing ever!

Friendly and helpful hosts knew the history and area well. They offered good suggestions for activities. The house is a couple blocks off the main street so it was very quiet at night even on a weekend.

Rose River Inn, was a great choice for us. David and Pam are very welcoming when you arrive, they ensured we had everything we needed and made great suggestions for dining out and what to check out while in Astoria. Great location to downtown and Fort George Brewery/brew pub. Set up was a little quirky with their different collectible items, but added to the charm of the place. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms were comfortable and well stocked with all the added extras. Would definately stay here again!

Rose River Inn is one of the best B&B's I have ever stayed in. The house and the incredible flower garden is beautiful. Our Inspiration suite was spacious, cozy, private & quiet. We enjoyed playing games on the front porch. The river view from the dining room is pretty. The breakfast was amazing-a bowl of a variety of fresh fruits, individual quiche, and coffee cake. The owners are friendly and gave us excellent service. The inn is a close walk to town. We'd definitely return and highly recommend it to others!

The Rose River B&B was a perfect spot for my wife and I to spend our 1st anniversary. The hosts were most welcoming, and the rooms were among the most comfortable I've ever stayed in. The only thing that keeps everything from being 5-star diamonds was that quiche was served for both breakfasts we had. While it was delicious both mornings, a little variety would have been nice. But truly, for everything else, we couldn't have possibly asked for more. We'll definitely come back!

The Rose River Inn B&B in Astoria is very quaint with lots of antiques and collectibles. Always something to look at. We really liked our roomy top floor suite. The location was great with walking distance everywhere to downtown, museums, etc.

My husband and I really enjoyed the two nights we spent at the Rose River Inn. The owners are the greatest. They really enjoy their guests, and you feel you're a guest when you're there. It was very pleasant meeting the other guests at breakfast. The location could not be more perfect. Highly recommended!

Great view of the river and town. Roses and garden were excellent. Quiet. Unobtrusive hosts. Parking right in front. Would have preferred bars of soap rather than liquid, but otherwise the basic maintenance items were fine. Breakfast area is very pleasant.

My husband an I stayed in the River room (overlooks Colombia river with a wall of windows with GREAT views!). We were very pleased with our stay. We even got to watch the 4th of July fireworks from our bedroom! Pam and David (inn keepers) were extremely hospitable and very knowledgeable about the area with great suggestions for restaurants and things to do. She even offered me her umbrella and jacket one morning when it was misty outside. The Rose River Inn was very clean and quiet. It was a perfect and relaxing stay. They have almost 800 DVDs to chose from if you want to "check out" any! Each morning they have a community breakfast served in their dining rooms, which was actually very nice. We will definitely return if we're in the area again.

The Inspiration Suite was perfect for 4 adults. The B&B is right downtown Astoria, the innkeepers are present and helpful but very unobtrusive. Beautiful.

I was very satisfied with our stay - everything was as described on the website, and I felt the price was reasonable. The owners have maintained the old character of the house, but have updated features like the bathroom so it doesn't feel old/musty. I like that they do online reservations - makes it easy to see what rooms are available. Comfortable, quiet room (we were in Othello, I believe), and the owners have thought of all the extras you might need (extra towels, robes, cotton balls/q-tips, lotion, wine opener/glasses, etc). Our room had a bathtub with a spray attachment - the website lists which rooms have a full shower if that matters to you, but the bathtub was very nice. The location is great - you can walk to nearly anywhere in the downtown area easily, and it is just blocks away from the Fort George brewery & Blue Scorcher bakery. Breakfast was excellent - the best fresh fruit plate I've ever had plus a tasty baked egg dish w/veggies & cheese, followed by small pieces of moist banana bread & as much coffee as you can take. During your online reservation, you can make requests if you have any dietary issues (we are mostly vegetarian), so the owners can plan accordingly. I really can't think of anything negative about our stay. It is an older house, so noise could be an issue depending upon other guests & their comings & goings. If you plan to have a rowdy, drunken night out, this probably isn't your place. If you're seeking a peaceful place to stay, in close distance to awesome Astoria restaurants, and a delicious breakfast, I highly recommend this place.

Everything was perfect! The room was very comforting after a long day of travel and the innkeepers provided great hospitality with breakfast and local sights.

There were too many 'do not do x' rules and a sense that we had to adapt totally to the proprietors. No sense of being welcome. It was nice enough but I would not return.

I've just spent 3 nights at the Rose River Inn. The location, food and room all exceeded expectations. It was the perfect spot to stay while I was in Astoria for a music program.

If you wan t to see the river traffic and also be within walking distance of downtown Astoria plus have extremely knowledgeable and friendly hosts with outstanding breakfasts - this is THE place to go! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will go again and again. You can't go wrong with the Rose River Inn.

Excellent value. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated . The B&B is within walking distance to Downtown Astoria and the Maritime museum. The neighborhood is quiet with a city confidential story line involving a once prominent Astoria family. Dietary needs are cordially met. The one negative would involve other guests,who might not adhere to the TV Volume level rule, Which is clearly communicated to each guest. If the Tv is turned above level 20 other guests can hear it through the 100 year old walls . We found them on the internet at the last minute. looking forward to staying with them again. We stayed one night in Astoria to attend the crab and wine festival. We've been to Astoria several times already and love everything about it. We were pleasantly surprised with the Rose River Inn and will be sure to stay there in our return trips. The host and hostess were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing. The room was quiet and welcoming with a large bathtub, distilled water a DVD player and an enormous collection of DVD s. The bed was also very comfortable.

The stay was very relaxing the room was just wonderful and it is a 2 block walk into town with great afternoon and evening dining. The Breakfast exceeded my expectations. It was a wonderful experiance and I look forward to going back in the future.

We stayed at the Inn for 2 nights. It was relaxing. The breakfasts were just right and delicious. We stayed in the River Suite. We used the room's sun porch a lot. It has a great view of the water and downtown. The room also has a shower/tub combo. I really liked the convenient location to everything in downtown and along the waterfront. Also, the Fort George Brew pub is only a block away. The owners were great to talk to, and I fell in love with their cute dog, "Penny Lane". Adorable and doesn't bark. I will stay there again next time we visit Astoria. It's a great Oregon town. A lot of history and people who care about their community.
