The Winchester Inn offers affordable excellence with an attention to detail and comfort; while the restaurant and wine bar offer innovative cuisine, award wining wine lists, and attentive service in a warm cozy atmosphere. This traditional Victorian stately home is in perfect harmony with its surroundings, situated in the midst of an English country garden. As guests approach the main building pansies line the path that leads to the front entrance, the gardens are encompassed by a herbaceous border whilst colorful tulips are scattered throughout the grounds. The interior is no less stunning, the rooms are a tribute to comfort and subtlety, with soft, warm shades and opulent furniture. Dinner may be taken in the popular restaurant, whilst in the summer, food is served outdoors. Wherever guests dine, the sumptuous flavors and textures are of the highest standards. The new wine bar provides a nice tasting of local wineries and a special nightly wine flight. The quaint gazebo is a perfect site for small weddings and receptions. Sporting activities available nearby include fishing, golf, ballooning or skiing while the more artistic guest may wish to visit the Ashland Shakespeare Festival or the Britt Music Festival, information on which may be obtained from the inn. If you are unable to find rooms through BedandBreakfast, please check out our personal availability calendar or call us to double check.

May 09, 2013
On our third trip to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, we gave the Winchester Inn a try. And as long as they have availability, this will be our home away from home every year. Little treats in your room every afternoon; amazing breakfasts. Can't rave about the dinners because we couldn't get a reservation. Next time we'll plan ahead. Close to the festival. A definite winner!

We booked our reservation at the Winchester and I have to admit the room, the service, and the food all exceeded our expectations. The staff is helpful and friendly and the room was gorgeous. Breakfast was a delight, even though I could barely finish it most days. I can't wait to go back to Ashland, because I know exactly where I will be staying!

5 out of 5Best Inn in Ashland
April 10, 2013
The Winchester is a two-minute walk to theatres, park, and the heart of town. Owned and operated by the wonderful Gibbs family for decades, the Inn offers unparalleled charm and comfort with individual balconies and/or patios on most rooms, lots of nooks and crannies on the landscaped property for reading and relaxing, a wonderful onsite restaurant, and the coziest bar in town. The only drawback is that the Winchester is no secret - during high season it is booked very early.
5 out of 5What Can I Say
March 18, 2013
The Winchester Inn has become our favorite place to stay when we are in Ashland. The people working there are always sweet and 'at your service!' No attitude problem at this B&B. The two things I love the most is the breakfast and the charming wine bar. I usually stay there in the off season when the prices are less and I can pick the room I want without trouble. This works for me because I'm unable to visit during the summer and busier months anyway. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy, charming and comfortable in every way. Close walking distance to everything in Ashland. No getting in the car when you stay here. That's a big plus for me!
