Ashland's Tudor House

A lovely house, close enough to walk to all of Ashland's events. The owners and staff are extremely accommodating. There are cookies, fruit and coffee available most all the time. All the Shakespeare plays are available in the library to read of borrow(along with many other plays). There are also many brochures and staff suggestions for area attractions, and dining. The breakfasts were delicous and plentiful. We had a fantastic few days, I wish we could have stayed longer!

I was very happy with the accomodations, breakfasts, friendliness and nature of other guests. I will definately return.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Warm and welcoming innkeepers, delicious two-course breakfast, goodies in the cookie jar, lovely flower-themed rooms with handmade quilts and hand-painted accents. Walking distance (10-15 min stroll) to downtown shops and theater.

Four members of our family stayed at Tudor House in April 2012 and felt so at home as we kept our snacks in the guest refrigerator, had dinner on the patio with food from the wonderful Ashland Coop and just relaxed together between performances at the Theater. Raliegh and his mother, who has provided the wonderful watercolors that adorn the walls, were very welcoming to us. We will book with the Tudor House again when we come to Ashland.

Although currently dealing with the arrival of very cute twin boys, Raliegh continues to be an outstanding innkeeper. And I always enjoy his insight to the current Festival plays.

Home-baked cookies, pistachio nuts, and delightful breakfasts!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It included myself, my daughter and two grandaughters.(14, 9). Everyone was thrilled with this B&B. Grandaughters played the piano, a game and loved the food. I jumped on the computer while my daughter used her laptop. Was very pleased with the service provided.

With so many B & Bs in Ashland, it is wonderful to have one that stands out by being a terrific value, with warm and friendly people as proprietors. The owners are what make or break an experience, and the Granthams are great. An added benefit is the behind-the-scene knowledge of the Shakespeare Festival offerings. Would recommend this facility to anyone.

It was a great experience. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, the food was excellent and Raleigh and his staff were very helpful and hospitable.

My sister and I spent one night at Asland's Tudor House and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and clean. Each room has a handmade quilt on the bed and is painted and decorated per theme. Our room was the Sunflower Room and it was bright and cheerful with beautiful paintings of sunflowers and yellow and white walls. The quilts on the twin beds were absolutely gorgeous. Each room has an ensuite bathroom as well. We felt warmly welcomed and at home at Ashland's Tudor House. Our breakfast was outstanding - cheese blinzes with fresh strawberries, bacon, juice and a pot of rich coffee. I would definitely stay at this B&B again if my travels take me to Ashland in the future!

I reserved 2 rooms for our stay in Ashland. We, along with our friends stayed two nights. I chose it because it was close enough to walk to the theater, but off the main street and very quiet at night. It was comfortable, clean, well decorated and reasonable and we immediately felt right at home. We loved the album of recommended restauants and the amazing variety of books to read and the use of the computer. We enjoyed being able to sit on the deck and use the guest refridgerator to chill our wine. The brownies and cookies available when we got home were a delight. The breakfasts were delicious! I will recommend this B&B to all our friends!

We discovered the Tudor House 5 years ago and have stayed there every year since (sometimes twice a year!). Raliegh the Innkeeper is a fantastic cook and very knowledgable about everything at the OSF and all around Ashland. Excellent value for your money.

Perfect location for walking, great recommendations for dining, quiet, plenty of space to relax, read, fantastic breakfasts, stimulating conversations with innkeeper.

We spent three days at Ashland's Tudor House (ATH) and found it more than satisfactory We will definitely consider a stay there i the future The proprietors are welcoming and co-operative. Unlike many places where we have stayed, ATH opens its living room and a study to its guests so you don't feel as if you need to be cooped up in your room. There are numerous amenities available in the public area that we appreciated: computer, daily New York Times, comfortable couches and though we didn't use them, numerous board games and books that were available to us. The breakfasts were much nicer than the cold cereal and banana or toast and cream cheese that are the usual B & B fare. Raliegh really goes out of his way to prepare something special such as the blintzes filled with lemon cream topped with fresh fruit that we had our first morning. We also appreciated the fact that we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. ATH is perhaps 3/4 mile to downtown (probably a little less) and we didn't use our car at all while in town. A really nice experience.

We enjoyed our stay: walkably convenient (15-20 minutes) to Shakespeare Festival, friendly staff and other guests, lovely room with outdoor balcony and breakfast on the patio. The breakfast was good, but we would have like some choice in the main dish as well as a muffin/pastry option. Overall a good experience and we would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tudor House. We have have stayed here for three years. A very pleasant stay, walking distance to the theaters and delicious breakfast!

Nice place. Less fru-fru than most B&Bs, nice artwork, great food, kindly host, interesting fellow-guests. Bed and temperature great, no nasty surprises.

Loved the breakfast and enjoyed the others staying here. Beautiful handmade quilt and we were made to feel at home!

We enjoyed our stay at Tudor House. The hosts were friendly but provided privacy. Other guests were very pleasant. The breakfast was very good. A bit of a hike to the Shakespeare Festival, but still walk-able. Quite reasonable.

We enjoyed our stay very much. I especially appreciated the reading room, including a computer, and the use of a refrigerator for guests. Our room was very pleasant, the food was good (great snacks available at all times) and the location was walking distance to town.

Not super expensive, I think you get what you pay for and maybe even a little more. Great stay.

This was a beautiful please and friendly innkeepers. We didn't have much chance to eat there but the few times we did the food was very good. Overall, a nice, pleasant place to stay!

This was our third stay at Ashland's Tudor House. Lovely family, comfortable rooms, great breakfasts, and great location. Easy walk into town for shopping, plays, or meals. It has become "our place" to stay when going to the festival.

We have stayed at Ashland's Tudor House many times, and have had nothing but great experiences. The rooms are all nice, and are decorated with the innkeeper's mother's fine floral watercolors. Breakfast is always hearty, delicious, and healthy. Perhaps the best part is the warm atmosphere that the innkeepers create, so we always have good conversations with the other guests at breakfast.

Pleasant home and quiet location. Room was nice and breakfast always excellent. Bed is very comfortable and this is one of the reasons we returned and stayed here again. Only input I would provide is that they need to provide hand lotion, more than one shampoo for a 4 day stay and a few other bathroom items, like other B&Bs provide. Will stay here again.

Ashland's Tudor House is a great value and Raliegh provides outstanding food. I especially love the salmon eggs benedict... perfect sauce, no lumps! Wonderful salmon. The decor is so arty with quilts matching paintings, both done by his mom!

Great location, close to both SOU and downtown. Very nice room at a good price. Hosts were friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

We stayed for only one night on our way through town, but the owner was charming and welcoming, the house was lovely, and the room was cozy and beautifully appointed. Would definitely book for a longer stay.

This is a truly lovely place to stay - a family-run B&B, comfortable and friendly, and full of beautiful artwork including handmade quilts. I will definitely be coming back here on my next visit to Ashland.

We've stayed at Ashland's Tudor House for the past 5 years while visiting Ashland to attend the Shakespeare Festival plays. Raleigh the Innkeeper is very knowledgable about the Festival and the plays, and he cooks a fantastic breakfast. The house is withing easy walking distance of the Festival venues and all the downtown shopping and dining alternatives. We'll be back there again this year and next.

The Ashland Turdor House Bed & Breakfast turned out to be a clean, quiet and cozy place to stay. The room and bathroom were quaint, comfortable and clean. The B & B is located off the main thoroughfare. There was ample parking in front and in the back. The breakfast was made to order and good. All in all, we would stay there again. The $ value for what is offered is great.

It was a beautiful room. Our hosts were very gracious. The breakfast was wonderful!! I would highly recommend Tudor House. But, I the beds were sooo comfortable!!. Ashland Tudor was excellent.

I love the comfortable, uncluttered, non-Victorian style, and the watercolors of this B& B. It's the perfect distance (10-15 mins.) for a walk to the theater to exercise and discuss the plays.
