A coworker friend of mine recommended I stay at the House on McGill during my visit to the Toronto International Film Festival, and I'm very glad he did. It helped make my first visit to Toronto a fun experience. It is conveniently located to restaurants, transportation and shopping; as well as many of the festival venues. The innkeeper's hospitality made me feel right at home. And it was great meeting all the other guests over breakfast and our morning coffee. I would highly recommend this charming bed and breakfast inn to anyone visiting Toronto.

    Quite, great location, good price

I was very pleased with House on Mcgill and would stay there again. Very quite. If you like to be left to your own means this is a great place. Breakfast is self serve, but no veggies and nothing cooked. Good variety of fruits, cereal, bread, but no organic products. Great restaurants within 3 blocks. Subway 2 blocks away. Jessy the cat is very friendly. Building is quite old and a little creaky but has been kept up very well. Everything was clean and in good working order. Bed was comfortable, and I'm pretty picky about beds. Definitely a self serve style place, so keep that in mind if you are expecting on site staff- there is no on site staff. Think of it as though someone left their home open for you to stay in, but they're not there to wait on you. Contact manager about parking.
