This beautiful Victorian mansion was built in 1886 for John McGee and his family. It is located right downtown in the historic area of Sandy Hill.
The Parlour. Come in and relax in front of the fire or curl up with a book in one of the wing back chairs. Flip through the many books and magazines available or maybe you'll enjoy playing the old player piano that has been in our family for 3 generations.
Room 21 - The Windsor Room - A very romantic room on the third floor. You'll feel like royalty in the canopy bed or in the deep soaker jetted tub in the bathroom.
Room 16 - The John McGee Room This is a warm and stately room on the second floor. The fireplace mantel is hand-carved cherry wood. It has 12' ceilings and the original crown moulding with 2 large windows facing North. Enjoy the many interesting antique pieces featured inthis room.
Room 20 - The Victorian Roses Suite - A gorgeous suite on the third floor featuring a king size bed. Relax in the jetted tub big enough for two and then curl up in the wingback chairs in front of a roaring fire in the fireplace. Let us help you make your stay a special treat for that special person.
Room 13 - The Egyptian Room - An exotic retreat on the main floor. In keeping with the Victorian tradition for the love of all things exotic, indulge yourself in the two-person jetted tub or in front of a roaring fire in the fireplace. There are interesting books on Egypt in this room. The bathroom features a double shower (2 shower heads) with room enough for two! Let us help you to make this a special treat for that special person.

Located downtown, McGee's Inn was built in 1886, and is a well-preserved Victorian landmark. An award winning Inn we were featured as a prize on Wheel of Fortune 2 years running. All 14 rooms are individually decorated & have private baths, free local calls, hi-speed internet access, A/C, many have 12' ceilings, fridges. Our 3 luxurious suites have jacuzzis and fireplaces. The Parlor is large and bright with 12' ceilings and one of the original cherry-wood fireplace. A full breakfast is served in the dining room as well as in the parlor. We offer on-site (limited) parking at $7.50 (you must leave your keys so we can accommodate everyone.

I would definitely return. The breakfast were lovely and freshly prepared. The location is downtown within walking distance of the Byward Market. Comfortable and elegant.

We stayed for two nights in April. It really is a very nice B&B and much much better value than most of the downtown hotels. Our room was large, comfy bed, working fireplace for cold nights, clean bathroom etc. We could not hear the other guests (thick walls). Good selection of breakfast items plus a coffee maker in the dining area for an early morning coffee or afternoon cup of tea, Paper and magazines to read in the lounge. Personable hosts. I would recommend it to anyone.

I enjoyed my stay-- the room was delightful. The inn was within walking distance of everything I wanted to see in Ottawa. The food was delicious, and the owners were kind and helpful. I can't wait to go back for a longer trip.

This place is historic and in a great location for touring the key attractions in Ottawa. The service was excellent and we enjoyed having a "homey" place to retreat to after a day of sight-seeing.
