Styled as an Italian, Victorian era bed/sitting room: gilded Florentine chandelier, a fireside velvet love seat and ladies writing desk add to the old world charm. Raw silk curtains frame the windows of this " room with a view"...overlooking the golf course and lake beyond. A second large curved glass window overlooks the wisteria arbour. The bathroom chandelier and marble flooring complements the large corner shower. Relaxing in king/twin bed with its whimsical, upholstered and gilded iron headboard gives a wonderful view of the hand painted sky ceiling complete with clouds and doves. This room is romantic and restful.
The French country décor assures that this especially romantic 3rd floor suite offers guests a stay that is truly "without worries". The fireside sitting areas features an elegant 18th century French armoire and a comfortable sitting area with a colour television. The cathedral ceiling and walls have a rustic, hand-plastered finish that evoke southern France. French doors lead from the bedroom to a charming balcony for a quiet moment in the treetops. The limestone-tiled bathroom includes a two-person whirlpool and a separate large shower. Antique linens, furniture and carpets add to the continental feel. This suite is ideal for that very special occasion. Bienvenue!
Reason #6 of 10 for coming to Lakewinds. "You can go shopping in town or you can be playing 8-ball against Stephen or his son, Charlie. If you don't know what 8-ball is, you must go shopping." Indeed this is the fun centre of the manor, with a guest wet bar and fridge, a TV and a billiard table, all adjoining a solarium for wonderful views of the pool and gardens. A great place to get together with other guests and as often as not, to be joined by your hosts.
A special and unique experience awaits you at Lakewinds. Situated on a quiet acre of extensive flower gardens and mature trees, Lakewinds offers you unparalleled views of the North America's oldest golf course beside the lake. Treat yourself to a refreshing dip in the heated outdoor pool or simply enjoy one of the lounging chairs. Walk though our woodland area to our fish pond. One of our hobbies is gardening and you will be surrounded by our efforts.

We found a gem in Niagara-on-the-Lake

    May 03, 2010

A very relaxing and comfortable stay. Jane and Steve are gracious hosts. We enjoyed chatting with them and learning the history of the town. The B&B is very peaceful witha a beautiful view of the lake across from the golf course. In addition it is within easy walking distance of town. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. We had a great sleep in a very welcoming bed. Breakfast was extremely good. Jane served a great omelette with "all the tiimmings". Our special requests were addressed with ease. We would not hesitate to return. Our only "regret" was that we were unable to see what the vast garden would look like in full bloom. Brian and Eke

    Beautiful stay at Lakewinds Manor!

    April 18, 2010

Lakewinds Manor is a wonderful B&B, located right on the main strip of Niagara-on-the-lake, just a short walking distance from the shops and restaurants. This place is impeccably clean and Jane and Steve are very friendly hosts and very helpful in suggesting great places to eat or fun things to do around town. Aside from the beautifully decorated rooms, Lakewinds offers a cozy entertainment room, to watch TV or play some pool. They have a lovely pool and patio outside as well. The breakfasts are delicious, very tasty and healthy home cooking. This was our second time staying at Lakewinds Manor, and we look forward to coming back very soon! Thanks again for the fantastic service, Jasmine and Jeff

    Relax and Enjoy Lakewinds

    August 29, 2009

Thanks for a most enjoyable weekend; we’ll have no hesitation recommending Lakewinds to family and friends. We have always enjoyed visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake for day trips, now we have an added insensitive to return and stay a while. The Manor, the garden, the company and especially our hosts made this very brief stay one to remember. Thanks again to Jane and Stephen, we will most certainly be returning to Lakewinds for a much longer stay. Barbara & Malcolm, Ontario

    Lakewinds Top Notch !

    July 09, 2009

We booked this luxury B&B (a denomination which does not really do right to this wonderful property) after having read the enthusiastic reviews on Tripadvisor. When we arrived we were given a very warm welcome by Jane. Right from the start, we felt at home and were impressed by the beautiful house, garden and swimming pool. The interiors are tastefully decorated and both Jane and Steve are wonderful hosts. The gourmet breakfast easily wins from all the best breakfasts we ever have experienced. Niagara on the Lake is a great place to stay if you want to visit Niagara Falls or the local wineries. The charming town center has a wide choice of restaurants, many of them within reasonable walking distance. Definitely a superb experience in all respects !

    Nothing but the best!

    June 01, 2009

My husband and I stayed at Lakewinds for 1 night the last weekend in May. We wish we could have stayed longer to explore the beauty of Niagara on the Lake and enjoy Jane and Steve's wonderful hospitality. We stayed in the Heaven Room which faces the golf course and the lake beyond. It was a fantastic view from the front porch. Breakfast was superb! Jane and Steve are friendly and gracious hosts . We highly recommend Lakewinds and will definitely be back.

    Christmas Begins at Lakewinds

    December 09, 2008

We just returned from our annual "mother daughter" weekend in Niagara on-the-Lake where we once again enjoyed our stay at your magical bed and breakfast. This is our fifth visit and we are never disappointed. Sitting in your living room in front of the wood burning fireplace while listening to Christmas carols, admiring your Christmas tree and chatting was so relaxing. The breakfasts where delicious and our room was perfect. You are both very gracious hosts. We hated to leave and look forward to our next visit. Patricia & Sarah, Pickering, Ontario.
