Styled as an Italian, Victorian era bed/sitting room: gilded Florentine chandelier, a fireside velvet love seat and ladies writing desk add to the old world charm. Raw silk curtains frame the windows of this " room with a view"...overlooking the golf course and lake beyond. A second large curved glass window overlooks the wisteria arbour. The bathroom chandelier and marble flooring complements the large corner shower. Relaxing in king/twin bed with its whimsical, upholstered and gilded iron headboard gives a wonderful view of the hand painted sky ceiling complete with clouds and doves. This room is romantic and restful.The French country décor assures that this especially romantic 3rd floor suite offers guests a stay that is truly "without worries". The fireside sitting areas features an elegant 18th century French armoire and a comfortable sitting area with a colour television. The cathedral ceiling and walls have a rustic, hand-plastered finish that evoke southern France. French doors lead from the bedroom to a charming balcony for a quiet moment in the treetops. The limestone-tiled bathroom includes a two-person whirlpool and a separate large shower. Antique linens, furniture and carpets add to the continental feel. This suite is ideal for that very special occasion. Bienvenue!
Reason #6 of 10 for coming to Lakewinds. "You can go shopping in town or you can be playing 8-ball against Stephen or his son, Charlie. If you don't know what 8-ball is, you must go shopping." Indeed this is the fun centre of the manor, with a guest wet bar and fridge, a TV and a billiard table, all adjoining a solarium for wonderful views of the pool and gardens. A great place to get together with other guests and as often as not, to be joined by your hosts.A special and unique experience awaits you at Lakewinds. Situated on a quiet acre of extensive flower gardens and mature trees, Lakewinds offers you unparalleled views of the North America's oldest golf course beside the lake. Treat yourself to a refreshing dip in the heated outdoor pool or simply enjoy one of the lounging chairs. Walk though our woodland area to our fish pond. One of our hobbies is gardening and you will be surrounded by our efforts.
