    "Relax and be Pampered" in this Pre-Victorian style (circa 1999) bed and breakfast designed specifically for guests. Guests enjoy a private entrance, dining and parlour with their own cable LCDTV/DVD, bar-fridge, fireplace, telephone. This room is the meeting room before breakfast and after dinner where "stangers" become "friends". All rooms have ensuite baths with toiletries, hairdryers, iron/ironing boards, cable TV/DVD, telephones, his/hers alarm clocks, MP3/CD players. Our bed and breakfast has wireless internet for guests.       From USA: Enter Canada at the Lewiston Bridge onto Highway 405. After about 2 miles take the Stanley Road exit. Follow the signs to Niagara-on-the-Lake along Portage Road to the traffic circle, onto the Niagara Parkway. Keep driving till you see Kurtz Orchards on your left side. The first left after Kurtz Orchards is John Street (Landmark: River Bend Inn). Turn left onto John Street and keep going till you come to Gate Street, 4th intersection. (Landmark: Water Tower). John's Gate is located at John and Gate Streets. Cross over Gate Street and turn right onto the gravel driveway. If you take the Fort Erie bridge along the QEW, take exit 38B for Highway 55 (Niagara Stone Road). Drive to the end of the road to a T junction - about 1.5 kms. Turn left onto York Road (Regional road 81). Turn right onto Airport Road at the Automotive Warehouse. Airport Road will bring you to Hwy. 55 (also known as Niagara Stone Road). Drive through the town of Virgil. You will pass the new Jackson Triggs Winery on the right. Then you will come to JOHN STREET on the right (Landmark, Autodetailing sign). Turn right onto John Street and cross over Simcoe. You will see the water tower at the end of the second block. Directly in front of the water tower is JOHN'S GATE B&B. Turn left into the driveway just before Gate Street.

    Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. Meheroo was a very gracious hostess and we would recomend going there to anyone. We know that our next trip will be to John's Gate.

    My husband and I were treated above and beyond at this heavenly B&B. Our stay far exceeded our expectations and we had such a lovely time getting to know our hostess. She made us feel so comfortable, and she went the extra step to celebrate our One Year wedding anniversary - we had flowers and a card and chocolates waiting for us in our room on our special day, i was so touched by her kindness. She also took into account my food restrictions & the meals were wonderfully preparied & incredibly gourmet. Very impressive! We would definately return to Johns Gate and have already passed along our recomendation to co-workers and family. I can't recommend this B&B enough - and especially in a town where every other house is a B&B and trying to find the "right" one is an overwhelming task - John's Gate should be high on your list to research!

    Make sure you bring cash or a check because she doesn't take credit cards for the final payment. She wanted payment in full almost as soon as we walked in the door. We hadn't even brought our bags in yet! Food was delicious though.

    My wife and I had a delightful stay with Meheroo at the John's Gate B.and B. We were warmly welcomed and settled into a sunny, comfortable king bed sized room. Meheroo's home is beautifully furnished and boasts one of the finested porches I have ever had the pleasure to sit on, while enjoying a cup of tea and listening to the birds sing and the sun set. The breakfast was delicious. Fresh juice, delightful mixed fruit, perfectly prepared eggs, and freshly baked pastry all combined to make us feel like very special people. Meheroo was gracious and very well versed on all of Niagara on the Lakes events, restaurants ansd attactions. My wife and I travel to the Shaw Festival each year. We have finally found the perfect place to stay next year.
