We have been staying at this bed and breakfast since Victoria and Murray have taken over. It is absolutely the ideal place to stay. Very convenient to the theaters and downtown. Breakfasts are amazing. I have never had anything that wasn't excellent. The breakfasts not only are delicious' but they are visually very appealing. Baked goods are homemade. Walking into the house you can smell the baking. A true treasure, Rooms are beautiful and there are many added touches. We of course will be back
The Rose is close to everything:restaurants, shopping, and theatres, so most guests just park here and walk everywhere. Victoria tries to make breakfasts that are interesting and unusual(not something you would ordinarily make for yourself at home) using as much local produce as possible. Murray is a wonderful baker, producing delicious cookies and feather-light scones you can enjoy with our home-made preserves for breakfast. It's lovely that you keep coming back to stay with us, and we look forward to seeing you again soon! Thank you for the great review!

Victoria and Murray: We thank you so much for making our stay such a lovely one. You are marvelous hosts and we appreciate all the little extra touches that you do (the baking of cookies, scones, croissants, trail mix, jams, beverages and the incredible breakfasts) to ensure a delightful experience. Your home (and artwork and gardens) are beautiful and the two of you are a pleasure. We enjoyed every moment. May God bless you and see you the next time we travel to Stratford, Martha & Bruce O’Connor
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us - we thoroughly enjoyed meeting and chatting with you. Murray and I try our best to make your time in Stratford as special as we can, just as we would like it if we were away on vacation. We try to take all the best parts of other inns and put them all together here at The Rose. We hope to see you again the next time you are down this way!

We have now stayed four times over eight years with the Sandersons - which says something in and of itself. We're greeted warmly as friends. Mornington Rose is well situated for theatre and downtown Stratford with its restaurants and shops. An easy walk to all these and you even get a free bag of corn to feed the ducks and swans along the Avon's banks. There's a comfortable porch to sit on and the rooms are fresh, well-furnished and comfortable. Breakfasts are what one should expect in a first-rate B&B. Victoria and Elizabeth are excellent hosts, usually have seen many of the Festival plays and have good advice on restaurants and sites in the site and the region. A great option for a visit to Stratford.
Thank you for your review and for coming to stay with us again! It was lovely to see you both and get caught up on happenings since you were last here. We do all we can to try to make you feel at home at The Rose, and to enjoy your visit to our beautiful city! We look forward to seeing you again!

My fiance and I had an absolutely amazing visit to Stratford made even more special by Victoria & Murray and their delightful Mornington Rose. The room was spotless completely comfortable and fully loaded with luxuries. Murray's delicious cookies are beyond decadent. The breakfast feast kept us going right through till dinner. But the best of all things at Mornington Rose is the warm greeting and personality of Victoria. All together it was a wonderful experience that we can't wait to do again, though for a longer stay.
We always try to make your stay at the Mornington Rose something special, and we do our best to anticipate your every need. Our meals, baking, and preserves are all made on-site, and sourced locally whenever possible - all but the chocolate in M's cookies, of course ;) which don't last long around here! Thank you for the wonderful review, and we hope to see you again soon!!!

Members of our Michigan Theatre group Birmingham Village Players have been traveling to Stratford for over 10 years together. I have stayed in several B&B's, but Mornington Rose is by far the best! Everything is fantastic. The breakfasts are my favorite meal of the day and Murray also tempts us with cookies and brownies. The rooms are charming and have everything from your own personal coffee maker to our rooftop balcony. Victoria and Murray are the perfect hosts. Staying with them is like staying with dear friends. I also recommend taking a peek at Victoria and Murray's art studio which is right on the property. You may purchase lovely gifts there . Come and see for yourself how wonderful a stay at the Mornington Rose can be! I can't wait until my next visit!--Suzie Skibicki

Only stayed one night but next time we would stay longer. Very welcoming hosts who have a lot of pride in their property. The breakfast was superb and would highly recommend a stay here
Thank you very much! We have completely renovate our 1905 home to accommodate guests who require not only all the modern conveniences, but also the heritage touches you would expect to find in a house of this age. We are delighted that you would like to come back for a longer stay, and that you enjoyed our breakfast!

My fiancé, parents and I recently stayed at the Mornington Rose for a restful long weekend to visit picturesque Stratford and see a play. This beautiful B&B was everything we needed and more! The rooms were very comfortable, breakfast delicious and a very convenient short walk to the main town/shops. Victoria and Murray were very friendly and helpful in making our dinner reservations with a local restaurant, but also respectful of the quiet time we were looking for when relaxing and reading on the house porch or under the gazebo. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and would highly recommend.
Thank you for your review! We like to make guests feel special when staying at the Mornington Rose, and try to anticipate and accommodate their every need (or want), from serving a delicious gourmet breakfast to arranging dinner reservations. We hope to see you again!

My husband and I spent a night at Mornington Rose B&B at the beginning of September. It was a truly wonderful experience from the well appointed rooms to the delicious breakfast. Murray and Victoria are extremely hospitable hosts thinking of every need that a guest might have. The location makes it an easy walk to theatres and shopping. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone looking for wonderful accommodation for their stay in Stratford.

We have stayed a couple of times now with Victoria and Murray in the lovely Ivory Room at Mornington. Murray and Victoria and very gracious and generous hosts. Their standards are very high; they try their best to accommodate every palate and provided us with those little extras that are not expected, but that make the visit stand out. Murrary's generousity in driving us back to the train station several hours after we had already checked out is one example of the outstanding hospitality and service provided and why we will be returning again this year to their lovely home.
