The Quebec Lodge is located 60 miles east of Thunder Bay overlooking Lake Superior at the mouth of the Nipigon River. We have partnered with local businesses to help you with your vacation interests be it hiking, biking, kayaking, sailing or fishing. The 4000 sq foot log Lodge was built in 1937 for the corporate customers and executives of the local paper mill that unfortunately closed in 2006. The Nipigon River is the home of the world record brook trout caught by Dr Cooke in 1915.

I grew up in a log cabin built like this one so I felt right at home w/ little urging from Roy, our very accommodating proprietor. The hikes present a view of Lake Superior that I've never seen before. The bed was comfortable, the room so unique. Roy is a great historian with many tales. The family atmosphere is so appealing. Thank you for our serendipitous stay.
