Inn Details
The birdseye maple surrounding windows in the small dining room was grown, felled and fitted by J Archer when he built the farmhouse in the early 1900's. His love of wood can be seen in many other lovely features throughout the house. Winston's, B&B and restaurant since 1995, stands in the 1.3 acres remaining from the original property and is partially shielded by magnificent cedars and pines.
Relax in the sitting/sunroom, with a cuppa or something stronger from the attractive bar in the corner.
Breakfast and dinner are delectable.

From Toronto take the 401 East to the 115 Exit to Peterborough and Lindsay. Continue on the 115 until the Fowler's Corners Exit. Turn left at the traffic lights and go straight up No 7 to Fowler's Corners. Turn right at the lights and go along County Road 1 (Lindsay Rd). Once past the flashing red light Winston's is immediately on the right. From Kingston take the 401 West to the Port Hope Exit. Turn right on to No 28 which merges automatically with No 7 and go to Fowler's Corners etc. - Nearest major airport: Toronto, ON, Canada (YYZ-Pearson)

Our chef is renowned for his menus which he changes every six months.
Among our guests favourites is Escargot Parisienne as an appetizer. Escargots prepared in a butter, garlic and herb sauce and served in a Phyllo pastry cup.
Two examples of entrees from the present menu are:-
Medallions of Beef Tenderloin set around a Portabello Mushroom and finished with a Spinach and White Wine Cream Sauce.
Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb served with a Red Wine and Red Currant Sauce.
Policies - No minimum stay required
- Smoking is allowed outside only
- We cannot accommodate guest pets (We have our own pets and there could be difficulties.)
- Children are welcome (Keeping in mind that we are a fine-dining restaurant)
- No childcare is provided
- Consumption of alcohol is permitted (Alcohol is served with meals.)
- Deposit amount required (No deposit is required although we may ask for a credit card number.)
- Closed: Closed for 2-3 weeks in January
- Check in time is after 2pm and Check out time is 12 Noon

We depend on people's consideration in letting us know as soon as possible if they are unable to come.
If guests do not arrive at all we may charge them for a night's stay.
