A cozy bed & breakfast, backing on to the famous Bruce Trail, offers a serene setting within walking distance to theatres and historic sights in Niagara on the Lake. A quiet retreat with grand suites each with its own sitting area, TV, mini fridge, coffee and tea service, ensuite bath and balcony. Two rooms have their own private entrance with direct access to the pool and garden. Walk or cycle along the scenic Bruce Trail, explore the historical sights, relax in our beautiful garden, or swim in the solar heated pool or stargaze in the patio at twilight.

I was unable to write this review until now, even though we stayed at Bruce Manor in late August, 2012. Although it’s long overdue, I didn’t want to miss the chance to write something in time for the upcoming season. My husband and I found this to be the perfect Bed and Breakfast in every aspect. Our host and hostess were wonderfully friendly, and very helpful regarding things to do in Niagara-on-the-Lake. They were also incredibly accommodating regarding our special diet, and went to great effort to make sure that we had enough to eat for breakfast. The breakfasts were amazing, with an impressive presentation. The location of the house was also very good; a nice 15-20 minute walk or a short drive into town, where we were able to park in a large lot. There is also a walking/bike trail right next to the house. The house is beautiful, with three guest rooms. We stayed in the Rattan room, which was very reasonably priced. It has a nice bedroom, a large bathroom, and a sitting room overlooking a swimming pool and beautiful gardens. There is a balcony overlooking the pool as well, which provides a private entrance to the room. There are a refrigerator and sink, a coffee maker, a table and chairs at the window if you want to eat in, and lots of good movie videos that you can watch while sitting on the loveseat. We loved our 3 day vacation at Bruce Manor, have made sure to tell our friends about it, and will definitely stay here on our next visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Follow QEW towards Niagara, pass city of St.Caherines exits, take exit 38B/Hwy 55 indicating Niagara-on-the-Lake. After passing over the QEW lanes, turn left at lights, (York road) passing fast food restaurants, Stay on right lane and make sharp right and first set of lights by Automotive warehouse. On to Airport Rd which takes you to Hwy 55 (Local Niagara Stone Road) Turn right on Hwy 55 and continue into the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. At the East-west road (about the 3rd set of lights coming into town) Turn right passing Mc Donald’s procede for about 2 minutes and turn Left onto Niagara St. at the first stop sign Turn right onto Charlotte St. and onto 602 Charlotte St(Bruce Manor) is on your right. From Lewiston Crossing: After leaving Canadian Customs follow signs to Niagara-on-the-Lake via Niagara Parkway to John Street, then turn left onto Charlotte. Bruce Manor is on to your left at 602 Charlotte Street(pass the mailbox on left)
