What a GORGEOUS place! From the moment we drove down the "coniferous corridor" (as I'm told one guest called it) and into the idyllic setting, I was in love. The cottage garden is magazine-cover beautiful (but with plenty of soul) and the house and grounds are surrounded by pine forest. The house itself is pretty majestic (but welcoming). The B&B is slightly out of town, so it feels like a real "getaway." The owners, Jacquie and Bob, are a total delight. And so is everything they do. Our room was lovely, the bathroom immaculate, and the view from our second-story window (as well as the patio where we ate breakfast a few times) was as picturesque as they come. You can see Georgian Bay from the house and I loved watching the sunlight sparkling on the water. My husband and I also loved the private dock. It was bliss sitting in the Muskoka chairs watching the boats go by, and soaking our feet in the cool water. Breakfast (our favorite meal of the day) exceeded anything I've ever had in a B&B--and we've been to some really good ones in New Mexico and Colorado. It's hard to do justice to this place in a review. Suffice to say, if we get a chance to return to Beacon Shore, we'll count ourselves blessed! Thanks to the owners for creating this little piece of paradise on the bay. P.S. The activities in the area were great and we stayed busy every waking moment (when we weren't relaxing in Muskoka chairs on the lawn or the dock). The B&B was so affordable, we even got to take a float plane ride over the 30,000 Islands (SO fun, you must try it!). Our budget would not have put out for as much fun as we had on local activities had it not been for the amazing value of the room rates.
