Echo Canyon exceeded our expectations in every category.

My wife and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. Owners are excellent people and accomidations are spectacular....

For someone living in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area looking for a unique experience without having to get on an airplane or drive more than 2 hours, you can't beat Echo Canyon Spa Resort. The owners, Joe & Carol Van Horn were incredibly accommodating. For someone who has stayed at many bed & breakfasts and many luxury resorts/hotels, I am rating Echo Canyon among the top. The wonderful exception for Echo Canyon is that it is in a peaceful canyon overlooking the small Arbuckle Mtns. From the large deck of our exquisitely decorated room, there were no cars to be heard, no airplanes, no flurry of people talking, only nature at its best (a large variety of birds, turkey, deer, flowers, a large variety of trees and the landscaping around the property was superb - water garden fountains, etc.). The food was some of the best I have had anywhere and I have eaten at the finest restaurants in this Country. I also can't say enough about the Spa. I have had 100s of massages at luxury resorts and numerous other facilities. I am not exaggerating when I say this was one of my top 3 massages of my lifetime. If you are looking for a wonderfully relaxing getaway from the world Echo Canyon can't be beat!

Our three day stay over Easter was fantastic - from watching the wild turkeys to the (very) laid back outdoor dogs this is a place to relax and kick back - on top of that the food is outstanding - probably the best in Oklahoma. A bit pricey, but it does deliver very good value for the money.

We had a very nice stay at the B&B. The accommodations were very nice and we made to feel very welcome. The dinner was way too much food and I wish it had been smaller for a lesser price. We wasted so much. It was very good, just too much. Breakfast was just so-so, not nearly as good as the dinner.

Echo Canyon is extremely relaxing, gorgeous, and the food is amazing. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or a restful weekend with friends, this is the place to go.

I was blown away by the amazing detail that has gone into creating this beautiful place. Everything is so well thought out and perfectly planned. The rooms were amazing, massages were excelent, and the food was delicious. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be going back!

Echo Canyon Spa Resort is our new favorite place on Earth! We stayed two nights in "Chilton's Hideaway". The room was beautiful and immaculately clean. Carol made us feel right at home upon our arrival showing us around and explaining everything. Our couple's massage was AMAZING! My husbabd even said he is now a "spa kind of guy". We had dinner both nights and breakfast both mornings and the food was phenomanal! Dinner was super elegant, yet the atmosphere is so relaxed and fun.The triple entree of steak, duck and halibut was seriously to die for! Breakfast consisted of two plates that are not your regular "continental breakfast" that most places serve.I had a chocolate banana pancake that I have been craving since we left. The views from the patios and the dining room are breathtaking and serene. My husband and I went to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary, and we have decided to make it back every year! I scheduled this weekend for our 7th anniversary as a surprise for my wife. We did not want for anything the 2 days we were there. The Spa services were excellent. The dinner was amazing. The owners and staff all were extremely accommodating. I would definitely recommend Echo Canyon to anyone. We will be returning in the future.

They are very friendly, the location is beautiful and the food is some of the best I've ever had.

We have stayed at Echo Canyon Spa Resort several times and it is wonderful. On two special occasions we had seventeen people and they did an amazing job. The food was served hot and delicious and we appreciated the extra effort to accommodate a food allergy issue. Very high quality exceptional experience overlooking a canyon of wild turkey and deer. Can't wait to go back.

This was our second trip to Echo Canyon Spa, and it was as good as the first. The dining on Friday evening was some of the best cooking I have eaten. Breakfast on Saturday morning was equally as good. On Saturday, we went to the spa for a massage (me) and body wrap (wife), both were great. The staff in the restaurant and the spa were courteous and helpful. Great place to getaway and relax. Thanks

My wife and I are making it a tradition to celebrate our anniversary at this wonderful get-a-way, we always come home refreshed after such a quiet relaxing stay at what we feel is the absolute best resort we've ever stayed at. Carol, Joe, and the entire staff are so gracious and attention to detail in everything you can tell soon after you arrive they are genuinely passionate about what they do! We will likely not be waiting till our 28th anniversary though cause we are already wishing we could go back. Love everything about this wonderful place!

The rooms were beautiful...the online photos simply do not give it the justice it deserves. The breakfast was fancy and very tasty. We were overwhelmed with the friendliness of the staff. Never have I had such a wonderful experience!

Beautiful place to spend a night or two. They have a full service spa, we took advantage of the facility and had a couples massage. It was fantastic worth every penny. The property is beautifully nestled in fruit orchards and the rooms have an excellent view of a wooded wonderland full of birds. The rooms are more beautiful in person. I highly recommend you make plans to stay here.

We enjoyed Joe and Carol's hospitality last week and are ready to go back! For three nights, we rested in total comfort and quiet. Carol's two part breakfast is overwhelming in it's quality and quantity and is the perfect way to start your day. Then go straight to the spa and let the professionals sooth your aching muscles. There's a lot to do that's very close to Echo Canyon: stroll or hike in the park, check out the quaint shops and antiques in town or lose your money at the casinos...or like us, kick back and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It's important to be hungry for dinner because Joe will present a feast for all the senses. He and Carol go above and beyond to make your stay special. If you enjoy culinary and sensual luxury surrounded by nature only God could create, go to Echo Canyon Spa Resort. You won't be disappointed!

We recently visited the Echo Canyon Spa Resort and were very pleased with the accommodations, the service and, most especially, the food. Wonderful dinner, good selection of outstanding wines and a fantastic breakfast. We plan to come back again.

The rooms are magnificant, incredibly decorated and clean. The balconies allow you to sip tea and coffee in this still of the morning, while viewing wildlife. The food is outstanding and beautifuly plated. Well worth every penny! Jason provides an incredible massage and it is worth the money. Every muscle appreciated the work he did! Joe and Carol are superb hosts and they make you feel so welcome. They are eager to address your every need in a pleasant manner.

Anniversary celebration that provided us with exactly what we wanted; relaxation and time alone. Massages were wonderful, food was very good, view from our balcony was beautiful!

Secluded location-but easy to find, my wife enjoyed the spa-I enjoyed the bar. Rooms are very comfortable and clean; dinner served was great! I have no complants, would recommend to anyone for a quiet getaway.

This is a great place to feel pampered. The hosts were very gracious and made you feel very welcomed. Breakfast and dinner were delicious with lots of food. Rooms were comfortable and interestingly furnished. You'll get your money's worth, but may need to save for this special stay. Their website is excellent to let you know what the place is like.

When we arrived we were greeted like VIP and shown to our room which was prepared with mood music and scented candles. We especially enjoyed the in-room jacuzzi which used a special mineral water. Included in the stay was a delicious breakfast which consisted of a choice of waffles or French toast and a sampler platter, complete with a variety of homemade fruit sauces. We also opted for the candlelight dinner which was not necessarily romantic as there were several other couples dining but was still wonderful!

My wife and I went to Echo Canyon for our 15th wedding anniversary. We were blown away by the hospitality and simple elegance of the dining experience. We will definitely be making a return trip!!

The rooms were really nice. Huge comfy bed with jacuzzi in the room. The view was decent as well. I thought the pool might be open but it was closed. The spa and bar area were great with lots of TVs. The breakfast food was fantastic and there was a lot of it. Breakfast times were great too because the kitchen was open til 11 am so we didn't have to get up early to make it to breakfast like you do at some places. They also had lots of snacks and drinks that were free anytime during the day or night. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. The only downside was that the website stated a different room price than what they asked us to pay. We paid a lot more than we thought it was going to cost. Just make sure you confirm the price by phone beforehand.

This is the best bed and breakfast my husband and I have been to in Oklahoma. Our room was outstanding and clean and the Inn Keepers did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable. We had an excellent dining experience and the food was worth the price we paid. It is on a beautiful property and we got to see some of the wildlife from our private balcony. This place is a gem. Their spa is incredible. The staff is very friendly. Our room was great & they had the softest sheets I've ever slept on!! There is also a lot to see/do in the area. We will definitely be returning. :)

Echo Canyon is beyond outstanding! The room was far better than even the pictures online showed. The entire resort was so clean and well maintained. The entire staff was friendly and outgoing. The food was divine! I had my first "real" massage while there. It was wonderful even with the horrific sun burn I got that same morning. Definitely want to go back there!

When we arrived we were met by Carol, one of the owners. She made us feel very welcome and at home while showing us around. Our room was the Cabernet Castle. We had a nice view of the canyon and got to see several humming birds chasing each other around. For supper we were served peach champagne, Prime Filet Mignon, Roasted Duck, Alaskan Halibut with a stuffed potato. I truly cannot describe how wonderful this food was, 5 stars does not do it justice. My mouth starts watering every time I think about it. You also had a choice of Prime New York or Kobe Beef cut. Both I heard were fabulous. Our plates were clean except for the potato skins. Our desert was cheese cake and Chocolate Mousse. Awesome! After supper we headed to the bar. We had a wonderful evening visiting with the owners Joe and Carol. If you’re a wine drinker Joe has some of the best wines. I’m a scotch whiskey kind of guy and he brought out some whiskey called Knob Creek, 7 years aged, wow nice! Our room was very cozy and the bed sheets very soft. Breakfast was the best ever. The first course was a choice of a waffle, blueberry pancakes, or French toast. My wife had the waffle which looked like a wheat waffle with a hint of nuts in it. I went for the French toast. The second plate was fluffy scrambled eggs, spicy scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, turkey bacon, and a crispy biscuit covered with scrumptious gravy. Wow I’m starving again. My wife and I had hour long massages, we didn’t want to leave! Even though the pool was not open everything else about our stay was wonderful and we plan on making this a yearly get away for just the two of us.

Echo Canyon is beautifully appointed, the service is wonderful, the spa staff is excellent and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

We recently made the drive from West Texas - about five hours - and our experience was worth all the driving! Joe and Carol are great at making their guests feel at home. The breakfasts were amazing, and our room was outstanding. We also thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the on-site restaurant - way more food than we expected. We plan to spend more time at Echo Canyon!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Echo Canyon. We found the facilities, the rooms and the other guests to be very enjoyable. Echo Canyon is a really fine get away and easy drive from the DFW area. The owners are most hospitable and i would highly recommend the the Spa, its food and its facilities.

My wife and recently stayed at Echo Canyon on July 11-13, 2012. The room we stayed in (Chilton's Hideaway, on the upper floor) was very spacious and well appointed. We liked the fact that there was both a front porch and a back porch with a nice view. The food served at dinner was very, very good, and was worth the price paid. We were impressed with the cleanliness of everything at Echo Canyon....it is very well maintained. Joe and Carol are excellent hosts, and attend to every want or need with a friendly smile. I would not hesitate to return for another visit or recommend them to anyone. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great place, lots of good people and good food. Close to other activities in the park and nearby Davis. The Van Horns were great host and provide a really nice quiet environment for a romantic getaway

Echo Canyon Resort and Spa has been the destination for my annual "Grammy/Granddaughter Trip" for the past 4 years, and will always be our destination for this trip. The accomodations are flawless, the service is extraordinary, the dining experience is unique and amazing. Carol and Joe Van Horn are the ultimate hosts. I've also been here on a spa weekend with my girlfriends from the senior high school class of 1965. It was just as amazing!! You cannot go wrong planning a visit here........and one night is not enough!!

This is a beautiful place, well secluded and quiet. What a great place for my husband and I to spend our anniversary!

The food was exquisite! The massages made us into melted marshmallows! The qildlife was entertaining! The peaches were so good!! And the extra attention, information and fun socializing at the bar with Joe and other guests was a special treat!

We stayed here as the start of of our trip to celebrate our 15th anniversary and what a wonderful start! Spa services were top notch, as well as the food.

We needed time away from our crazy busy lives; needed everything to stop, if only for a couple of days. Echo Canyon is the perfect escape. Spa treatments were wonderful and relaxing, food was unsurpassed, atmosphere amazing and Carol and Joe are, beyond any doubt, the most welcoming and gracious hosts on the planet. We made reservations for our October Anniversary before we checked out this trip. It will be our third trip to Echo Canyon! We will have seen three of the four seasons there. Can't wait! My 2 sisters and I did our sister trip at Echo Canyon and it was beyond wonderful. The food was terrific, everyone was friendly and helpful, and we loved it. My one sister and her husband are going back for their anniversary in November. I can't wait for an excuse to go back!!

This is the best Bed and Breakfast we have been to in Oklahoma. The food is amazing and the people who run Echo Canyon are wonderful. It is such a relaxing place, I highly reccomend this place to anyone looking to get away and find some peace and quiet.

hello me and my wife have been here twice and both times were amazing!! the managment are willing to do whatever they need to to make our expiriance a great one! the food is great there chocolet coverd strawberrys are the best i have ever taested!! we will be back but i will give u the good and the one bad thing, i have only one consern i feel that they are just a little bit expensive. its hard not to do everything availibul there like dinner, massage, chocolet strawberrys, best room because they are all such great expirianses, i just hope that they can get some coupons going or some discounts lol but even with that we will be back because when you find a place like this it will take a whole lot more then some cash to keep us from coming back.:)

I'm a pastor and my church sent my wife and I for our anniversary. It was a great location, excellent lodging (very romantic), and the food was terrific, both dinner and breakfast. The dinner salad, served with watermelon, is something special.

Room and outdoor setting was beautiful. Fresh fruit growing in orchard was a bonus. Wish they had more menu options especially vegetarian options. Staff was friendly and massages were great. Great place overall. Would definitely visit again if menu options were available.

Joe and Carol have the most outstanding resort and spa I have ever stayed in. Facilities, service, food, atmosphere, character of the furnishing, and beautiful gardens of fruits were totally enjoyable. We totally relaxed and enjoyed ourselves during our stay. Everything was great. The Filet Mignon was the best steak I've ever had. The hosts were very polite and friendly.

My Husband and I have been looking for a weekend getaway that we can visit several times a year, well we found it and are so excited. Our stay at Echo Canyon Spa Resort was so wonderful and relazing and the spa treatment was out of this world. Let's talk about the room we stayed in: we had so much room it was decorated with beautiful furniture and the bed was soooo soft I loved it, We also had a private balacony which makes it perfect to sit back and watch the stars. Now let's talk food, we decided to have dinner in their dinning room, needless to say my husband and I did not leave hungry. The quality was awesome and the staff was so friendly. Joe and Carol and the rest of the staff really make you feel welcome. We can't wait until our next trip. So, if you need a romantic or maybe a girls weekend getaway this is the perfect place for you.

We were looking for a romantic getaway close to home and we found the perfect place! The property was peaceful. The dining was amazing. The service was stellar. The room was very romantic. Had a great time with them. They are military friendly and are always ready to help out anytime. Great Spa service and relaxing bar to sit at and ejoy conversations. Overall great way to get away from OKC and enjoy a weekend relaxing. Highly recommend and will be back for another stay.

My sister-in-law and I came for the weekend in March. It was wonderful! We seriously had a great time. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. We like the personal note to us in the bathroom about supplies left for us. Everyone that works there were so nice and friendly. Actually, even the other guests were very friendly and we got to meet some new people. It was great. Then there was Autumn! Who we both loved...she is so adorable. Coming from alot of animals of my own...it was nice to have some there. Don't want to forget the kitty outside the door too. The animals being there was a special part for me. My wife and I have stayed at many B&B over the years and I would put Echo Canyon right at the top. From the wonderful gourmet dinner the night we arrived to the charming and very large rooms, beautiful views, to the luxurious spa to the excellent breakfast, we had a wonderful time and I would heartily recommend this to everyone. I had the best dinner I've ever eaten at Echo Canyon. The owners have seemingly thought of everything to enhance romance. Even the animal feeding area visible from the dining room had corn kernels dispersed in the shape of a heart! The room we had was monstrous, and the Jacuzzi was delightful. If you like mirrors in the room you will be very satisfied. The staff treats you like royalty. The location, nearly adjacent to the only national park in Oklahoma, is wonderful since you can enjoy the park. This place is pricey if you take advantage of all the amenities, but I doubt you can find a more romantic locale.

It is a beautiful place. We enjoyed watching the deer & birds on our back deck. The meal was fabulous, I enjoyed all the home made jams & everything about it. We want to bring our friends and relatives when we come back. We have bragged about the hospitalities and warm and friendly people. We can't wait to schedule another trip. It was the perfect place for our anniversary.

We were needing time away for rest and relaxation and boy we got it!!!! To start the room was large and very nice, the staff went way beyond the call of duty. We stayed two nights And had dinner two nights - it was truly AMAZING -Dinner is a must!! I also had a message treatment and it was very good also. We went for our second anniversary and just stayed one night. We really enjoyed the large room and the food was amazing! Since it was a Tuesday night in December we were the only one there, so we were given choice of rooms. At dinner we had a personal shef who absolutely was amazing! We were able to take our leftovers to our room for lunch the next day, but first we had a great big breakfast in our room! Check out was at 11 but they let us stay as long as we wanted. But we had to get home to our baby. A great stay!

They go out of their way to treat you special. The food was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend to others.

Our room was amazing and very comfortable. Everything was clean and anything we needed they helped us with. The food was amazing. This time we only were able to try the breakfast, but when we go back we are going to try the dinner as well. The customer service was great and everyone was very polite. Last year we spent a little over $100 for a room and it had a hot tub in it. This year, we spent about $135 for a room and it was smaller with no hot tub. The room was still nice but was a bit disappointed with what we got. The service, food and atmosphere are great. Also like the fact that the resort is gated.

This was the first bed and breakfast I had ever been to, and it set the bar remarkably high. Not only were the rooms fantastic, the porch balcony was a great view during the sunset. The trip was worth every dime, and we will definitely be returning in the future.

My wife and I had a wonderful time. The room was excellent and the view from our room exceeded my expectations. The owners are very friendly and helpful and we got the idea that we could access the staff and amenities 24 hours a day. Breakfast was included and was a multiple course offering and while supper was extra, I can't remember the last time I had food as fine (and plentiful) as this.

Echo Canyon is a Wonderful place to get away from the hussle and noise of the everyday rat race. I would recommend this piece of heaven to anyone wanting to get away our for special occasions. I can't wait for my next opportunity to run away to Echo Canyon and the Arbuckles.

This place was beautiful, romantic, relaxing, friendly, charming -- I could go on and on! We stayed in the room called "First Mate" - it was smaller than we would have liked but it is what we expected. Since this room was right next to the kitchen, it was loud in the evening and morning as they prepared dinner and breakfast. Shower in this room was too small. But the other rooms on the property are spacious and would be very quiet. Food was absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Very homey atmosphere but yet you felt secluded and private if you didn't want to be bothered. We would love to come back again!

We were welcomed into the gates of Echo Canyon Spa Resort like family and treated that way throughout our visit. The grounds and rooms were impeccably maintained with extreme attention to detail. The food was of the best quality and awesomely prepared. The service was exceptional. We don't use the term "perfect" too often, but it seems to be the only word that applies here. We will be back - and soon, we hope!

Lovely location. Expensive for a weekend, but worth it for a special event. Meals are served, and are lavish.

We were greeted by one of the owners in the parking area as we drove in and then escorted into the main part of the facility. We had been there a couple of years before, so welcomed the refresher on times of breakfast and dinner. Owner escorted us to our room and made sure we didn't have any questions or concerns before letting us settle in. The massage was great as well as the foot massage the following day. Food was absolutely fantastic and service was excellent. My husband and I felt pampered all weekend. We left on Sunday feeling refreshed and renewed. I would highly recommend Echo Canyon Spa as a great "weekend getaway"!!!!

We only stayed one night, but it was great the dinner was awesome breakfast was good also. The room layout and decor was memorable. When you first pull in it is a wonderful sight to see very quiet and cozy. The staff was very friendly, helpfult, genuily cared about their visitors. We would love to go back and visit.

I decided to get away for a weekend hiking trip. My options were to either stay in a cabin or fill the weekend trip with a relaxing stay and a clean and nice resort style feeling. After reviewing all of my options, I thought that this was the best choice. The Echo Canyon Spa Resort surpassed my expectations. The owners were the nicest couple that you would ever meet. They were warm and friendly and really took great care of my needs. I love drinking coffee and reading in the morning and was surprised by the thoughtfulness of the staff that served me coffee as I sat in a rocking chair on the common patio. Before breakfast, there were deer that grazed in the field and redbirds in the trees which made for wonderful outdoor scenery. We would definitely go back! It seemed pricy at first, but they had everything we needed right there, and was totally worth it. The in-house dinner was absolutely amazing! The perfect place to just relax.

From check in to check out, the stay was amazing. The room, dining, service, and massage was awesome. Joe and Carol are GREAT hosts!! We can't wait to go back.

I have been to Echo Canyon Manor at least four times and have always been very happy. The breakfast is to die for!

It was a very nice get away. Enjoyed the room and the service very much, my only criticism is the rocky drive way. We spun our vehicle's wheels tryig to back out of a space. Other than that we loved it and plan on going bak in the future.

Just spent the night and ate breakfast but everything was really nice and the food was good. (May put the dogs up at night, however. They started barking late at night and woke me up. Took a while for them to stop barking and had a hard time going back to sleep). Will definately be back.

Echo Canyon was recommended to us by another couple and we are still thanking them! The food was absolutely fabulous! The couples massage was a great addition to our package and we would for sure go back again and recommend it to others.

My partner and I have never been away without our kids and it was a wonderful getaway. There was such a peaceful atmosphere and awesome dining. We will definitely be returning.

The host was very friendly and the food excellent. The rooms were quite and well kept, but a bit small. I found the ocean themed decor a bit odd for OK, but all in all had a pleasant stay.

We went to Echo Canyon to celebrate our anniversary. The resort was very nice and comfortable. We dined there in the restaurant for dinner and it was wonderful. Kudos to the chef. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. The rooms are very nice and the breakfast that was included was fabulous. The only thing of concern was that the price seemed a little high. I don't know how this price compares to others so it may not be high and may be in line with others. I would still recommend it to anyone that asks. We had a wonderful time. Just can't do it often enough at that price.

We will definitely be going back. The atmosphere was very romantic and relaxing. The room was nice with all the amenities. The food was delicious, both breakfast and dinner. The hot stone message was divine. We can't say enough good and top that off with the fact that it is located on the edge of the Chickasaw National Park. We will be recommending it to all of our friends!

It did the trick while meeting some constraints I had - needed a getaway atmosphere within short driving distance from Oklahoma City, slow us down, and relax us. They worked to make a good vegetarian meal even though it wasn't on their menu, and it exceeded expectations. I will not tell you how fabulous the decor is or about the peach hibiscus tea, which have already been extolled in other reviews. My suggestion is to really enjoy everything they've laid out for you. They even have a fly swatter in you room for the occassional fly that would slip in if you left the patio door open. I bet, when they have the pool ready, it will complete the experience. The spa was slightly below my wife's expecations - she's used to dimmer lighting and non-vocal music in the background.

The atmosphere was just what my wife and I needed to recharge and to reconnect. The food was exceptional and the staff could not have been more courteous.We are already planning another visit.

We went to Echo Canyon for our 20th anniversary. Our suite was luxurious, the food was superb, and the spa treatments were to die for. Everyone, from the owners to the maintenance staff, was friendly, professional and helpful. The staff always went out of their way to answer questions or make suggestions if asked. A beautiful, peaceful, restoring place! We will definitely be back!

Echo Canyon is absolutely nothing like your normal B & B. It was luxurious, peaceful, private and we felt as if we were completely secluded from the world. Everyone who worked there seemed to take ownership and provided excellent service. Our dinner was absolutely beyond our expectations and look forward to coming there again! Although the place was expensive, the overall experience was well worth the money. What a place to celebrate our anniversary!

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the mineral whirlpool baths...very relaxing! Breakfast was delish!

The Van Horn's have a wonderful place! They know how to make your stay stress free and relaxing. We didn't utilize the spa, only because we had other plans to site see around the area. The breakfast and dinner was beyond amazing! We arrived on a weekday and was upgraded to a king size suite at no extra charge! My husband and i plan to return!

This was a such a cozy and comfortable place to stay. It was so quiet and relaxing, ther perfect getway for us. The room was spectacular with antique furnishings and a luxurious bed and wonderful whirpool tub for two! The view from our room was serene and beautiful. The thing I loved the most about it was the privacy, even tho there are several rooms, when you're on that balcony, all you see is the view. We had a couples massage in the Aloha Spa, nothing short of wonderful! We also had dinner in the Baron of Beef retaurant; the filet mignon melted in my mouth and the made from scratch cheesecakse was quite possibly the best I ever had! To Die For! The VanHorns were very gracious hosts, making our comfort and relaxation priority #1. We will definately be visiting again, we may even make this an anniversary tradition from now on.

We were very impressed with the facilities at this B&B! The food was wonderful and the bed the most comfortable I have ever slept in away from home. We plan to go back and this time use the spa facility! The only complaint we have, and this was not the owners' fault, was that the hot tub outside quit working at the time we reserved it. Other people had it later. My 94 yr. old grandmother has lived with us for 3 months and we really needed a break! The hot tub was one of the things we were really looking forward to. I think as a goodwill gesture, the owners could have maybe given a small credit on our bill.

My wife took me for my birthday. Not normally a B&B guy, but really enjoyed it. Food was delicious, massage was the best I have ever had and we were able to walk to the park and enjoyed it as well. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get away.

We loved it! The food was wonderful and so was the massage! I only wish that dinner wasn't served so late and that there were some sort of on site activities available during the day.

Joe and Carol at Echo Canyon have a beautiful property. Better still are the accomodations and the outstanding service. I greatly enjoyed hanging out with them and had the best nights sleep I have ever had away from home. Then, in the morning, I was given an outstanding breakfast, complete with home made jams and a mouthwatering fritata. I would highly recomend them if you happen to be in the Sulphur area.

We decided to stay at Echo Canyon based on the reviews posted. Even with the high ratings I didn't expect it to be that exceptional - I was wrong! It is an amazing place to stay - Carol, Joe and the rest of the staff are the consummate hosts. The room we stayed in was huge and had a mineral water jacuzzi tub (you won't believe how soft your skin will be), small coffee maker with plenty of coffee (more coffee downstairs if you run out), mini fridge, comfortable bed and sitting area. Don't miss dinner (unless you don't eat meat)! It's one of the most delicious meals we've eaten. Then before you know it, it's time for Carol's incredible breakfast. The spa is gorgeous - massage was great. Can't wait to return!

The best place I have found to spend a nice romantic get away that exceeds all of your expectations. the staff is very accomadating, the food is five star, and the breakfast is the best way to start your day individualy prepared for you, Dinner is without a doubt an experiance any gourmand would enjoy. All in all well worth the trip My wife and I have been back three times and will go again!!!

The most peaceful respite we have had, EVER! Joe and Carol are the greatest; and the rest of the staff, above reproach! We had to want for nothing! This is a beautiful, relaxing property. The owners have taken care to specially pipe in local mineral waters to the in-room jacuzzis, which is a neat touch. The rooms and balconies are beautiful and as expected for the price. The wine list is excellent and the dining is 4 star and both are priced accordingly. Breakfast was fabulous, relatively healthy and featuring jams and spreads from their own orchard. Lovely spa and bar in separate building. Owners and staff were fun, talkative and accomodating. Almost inside the Chickasaw National Recreation Area and not far from Turner Falls for great hiking and outdoor activities.

My wife and I recently stayed at Echo Canyon Spa Resort for a weekend and experienced an incredibly relaxing environment coupled with unbelievable hospitality. The Baron of Beef restaurant offered the best dining experience that I have ever had and the local springs were beautiful. We will be returning.

Echo Canyon is comprised of two buildings with rooms of varying size and price. Our room was furnished with some very nice antique furniture including a massive and comfy bed with ornate frame. The ceiling was wood paneled giving the fairly modern construction room that cabin feel. The room also had a jacuzzi tub (apart from the sizable restroom with shower and separate toilet closet). There is also a small fridge and coffee maker. Over in the main building the kitchen is always open with a fridge filled with drinks and some snacks too. A nice size flat screen TV completed the room (and gave me something to do while the wife was at the spa). The room also has a balcony where you can sit facing Echo Canyon. Our room was the Merlot room, by the way. We reserved a table at the resort for dinner as well as reserved a spot for the jacuzzi. There is one located just outside the main building. It is a five or six person one that is in one of those buildings made for jacuzzis. Did I mention their water supply is mineral water? That is the way the whole area is. We spent the thirty minutes in the jacuzzi then out for dinner. The food was excellent. The salad was top notch with a dressing that compliments everything so nicely. I got three main courses: duck, fillet mignon, and shrimp scampi. My wife got flounder. Everything was cooked perfect and tasted fantastic. In the morning we ate breakfast (which is included in the price of the stay). As with everything else is was really good. We took our time and checked out just before 11AM. Overall I was very satisfied with our stay at Echo Canyon. My wife says she really want to go again.

We had six ladies share the Admiral suite for two nights. We spent all Saturday at the spa, lounging in our robes getting spa services, which were so wonderful we booked more for Sunday. The food was beyond fantastic. Carol are Joe are the best hosts and have created a lovely retreat from the real world. Only problem was…….we did not want to leave. Absolutely wonderful! This is truly a 5 star resort and restaurant tucked away in small town Sulphur OK. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves just enjoying the resort and it's emenities! My only partial negative thing to say: no prices were listed for anything during our stay. We knew the price of the room but did not know prices for dinners, spa treatments, drinks at the bar, or anything. The staff kept a tab of our expenses and we were given an explanation of the bill at checkout. We never swiped a card until checkout (a plus in my book) but we also underestimated the total cost of this trip.

Everything was very wonderful. The only issue I had was the misscommunication of the reservations. There was a room I was supposed to have and when I got there they wrong room was booked. I am overlooking that and hoping when I do come back I will have the proper room. Everything else was amazing and relaxing and the food was to die for!

My husband and I have given gift certificates to family members several times for a stay at Echo Canyon Spa Resort, but we had never been there ourselves. Every time our relatives went there they came back with rave reviews about the rooms, spa, food, and the hospitality of the innkeepers. We thought their reviews were possibly a little exaggerated -- until we went there ourselves!! They were right on! The rooms are lovely, comfortable, and very peaceful - just what we needed. The hosts were exceptional and the food was out of this world!! I told the chef, "I think this is what the food in Heaven will tast like" (minus the calories, of course). We are so proud to know we have such a state of the art spa/resort right here in our home town. We stayed only one night, but it was thoroughly relaxing. The hosts helped us with knowing about hiking nearby. The food was outstanding and the portions were more than we could handle.

This is a must for a once in a lifetime romantic getaway. The food was to die for. I would take a weekend there. It is a great way to spoil one. They provided food for special diets that was tasty and delicious. The hosts were very friendly and the service was more than expected. For bird watcher it is a must as the bird life is abundant. What a wonderful surprise it was. The area around the lodge is also very beautiful.

Just a little expensive, could almost do a three day all inclusive to mexico for the same money. Awesome place over all.

Echo Canyon Spa Resort is the best Bed and Breakfast I have been to. The room we stayed in was spacious, quiet, had a jacuzzi bath tube which we used twice. The room (captain) was elegantly decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful, showing us around the area, saying hello, and answering any questions we had. The breakfast was wonderful, fruit, french toast, waffles, turkey bacon, the works. We had a very relaxing and rejuvenating time at this bed and breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here. We will certainly be going back again.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 23 Wedding Anniversary by staying a weekend at Echo Canyon Spa and Resort. The room we stayed in was filled with antique funiture and tastefully decorated. The staff is some of the nicest people you will every meet. The evening meals are a must - pricey but well worth the money. This is one place we will definitely come back to in the future.

I would highly recommend this resort to other guests. We stayed in Captains Quarters in the main house and were so pleased with the room, bed and other ammenities. The only complaint we had was lack of hot water in the evening for the Jacuzzi Tub. Overall, a great place to unwind.

Let me begin by saying I have been to B&Bs from Vermont to Oklahoma and Echo Canyon by far takes the cake. If there is anything you need they get it. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The Staff both at the B&B and Spa were always courteous and attentive. While the prices were a little lofty this particular visit coincided with our wedding anniversary so the added expense was fine especially for what we got. The property is quiet, serene and gated. The Van Horns and Staff were continually asking if everything was to our liking and if we needed anything. The food was both during breakfast and dinner was appealing to both the pallet and eyes. If I have a criticism it is their lack of availability of a noon time meal especially since our spa treatment lasted most of the day. I would suggest perhaps having the option for some sort of sandwiches or other finger food would further improve an already great experience. This would also remove the need to travel off the property. Thank you for making our anniversary a memorable one I am sure we will be back.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Echo Canyon. Jim and Carol were the ideal hosts who, along with their friendly and attentive staff, could not do enough to make your stay perfect. Our room was huge, clean and very comfortable with a nice view on a private balcony. We had a couples massage which was the best ever. The food was out of this world, both breakfast and dinner, and (not to be missed) our visits with Joe in the evenings at the bar were great fun and very entertaining. Without doubt, we will be back.

My wife and I took a night away to relax without our 4 kids. We had and exceptional meal and extremely relaxing spa treatment with great room accommodations sandwiched between.

We had a Girls Weekend and I cannot say enough about Echo Canyon. Outstanding all the way around!! We had all the spa treatments, pedicures, manicures and enjoyed an OUTSTANDING dinner.
