Like Staying with Family, but Better...

4.4 on December 16, 2015

We have stayed numerous times with Michelle and Larry and every visit has been outstanding. The rooms and the location truly allow you to experience Guthrie in an authentic way. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts are a true multi-course delight. We've brought several family members with us to see Guthrie from California who are seasoned travelers, and they found the food and the Pollard Inn delightful. Guthrie is a special place, and staying here completes the experience.

Wonderful Place To Get Away

4.8 on February 24, 2013

Had made reservations to stay here for our anniversary and had ask "what ever they could do to make our stay special would be appreciated" Our room was great and very comfortable and we had half a dozen of red roses, a chilled bottle of sparkling juice, fresh strawberries and a small box of chocolates along with a card of congrats. The common area room with the TV had all the supplies needed to make your stay even more comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was a five course gourmet of food with close attention to special details. Our whole experience made us fell special and will be back for another visit.

Best Breakfast Ever!

The room we stayed in had seen better days but it was clean and comfortable - after all the building is old and actually needs some work. However, the service was friendly and attentive and the breakfast they served was phenomenal! It was imaginitive, beautifully presented and delicious! Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Pollard Inn

Staying at the Pollard Inn B&B is definitely something you will want to be able to say you have experienced in Guthrie! It is within walking distance of several Very Unusual historic buildings that we never even realized were there as kids but, makes returning home for a visit an event to remember. We absolutely LOVE staying at the Pollard Inn and always include going to the Theatre next door! It is a delightful family place to gather for a reunion! Beautiful antique filled spacious rooms with elegant bedding in a warm and cozy, friendly atmosphere. As you look out of the big windows into the town below, you can't help but get the quaint feeling of being inside of one of those charming Dept 56 Charles Dickens Villages! Especially when the people gather outside the Theatre on the brick sidewalks below to laugh and recall their reviews of the play in a prolonged escape from reality that savours an enjoyable evening. Great food, reasonable prices in several nearby locations that scream of yummy down-home Southern cookin' seals the deal. You WILL be back! I grew up in Guthrie, Oklahoma and really did not realize the beauty and uniqueness of the town until after I had moved away. My husband and I stayed at this beautiful inn. We loved the fresh fruit and cheese plate that was waiting for us upon check in. We left the room long enough to go walk around the area. Guthrie is truly a beautiful town and the shops downtown are truly interesting to see.
