Sunnyside Tower Bed and Breakfast Inn

I went to this B&B for a girl's night out. We are various ages and wanted a nice place that all could enjoy. This was a wonderful spot. We ate dinner in the beautiful dining room and then enjoyed a movie in the great room, where the fireplace added to the ambiance. Breakfast in the morning was outstanding as well. Couldn't have found a better place to relax and unwind with good friends!

We have been traveling across the northern United States from New York City and westward to Chicago and back. We stopped at SunnySide Tower, not expecting much more than a place to sleep on our way back to NYC and then home to Switzerland. This place is clean, clean, CLEAN, and the food is delicious! The ambiance of the entire home is just fabulous and we can not offer a high enough recommendation. When come back to the states, we plan to be sure to schedule our trip around another visit!

Beautifully and lovingly furnished rooms, spacious, comfortable and clean; a wonderful hostess, outstanding breakfast and great company in a beautiful setting, a short walk from the lake shore - what's more to wish for? We had a wonderful time! Thank you for making us feel at home!

We enjoyed our first experience with a B and B at Sunnyside Tower. We did our homework and found a truly amazing esatblishment. The food was amazing, never left hungry for our days advenutres. Location is perfect to access many of the activities on the island as well as PIB itself. The rooms were very accomodating and our hosts could not have been more pleasant. Will return and will highly recommend to family and friends. Thank you so much.

Sunnyside was our first B&B and it was great! The hosts were great and always went out of their way to make you feel at home. Breakfast was different and amazing each day! Rooms are clean and spacious and location is perfect for local hot spots! Great price for all you get and can do in one area! Will definitely go back, had a wonderful time!

We appreciated the personal touches from the owners and throughout the house. The decor has a relaxed simplicity and elegance about it and is not at all cluttered. Our young children were welcomed and given cookies during our stay and the room/bathrooms accommodated our family perfectly. The playground at the park and surrounding yard were so nice to have for our children to explore. The location is only a few minutes from fishing, a swimming beach, Miller's Ferry, and delicious dining, yet is quietly tucked away on its own private road. I would like to figure out how to get the grandparents to come too and share a suite at our next visit. The only downside to our stay was that we didn't have more time to spend here. Our oldest son commented before going to sleep that he wants "to come back here every summer". Thanks for everything!

Normally I do not write reviews, but this place is a real treasure: wonderful location, lovely rooms, breathtaking breakfast (try Scot's quiche and Vicki's cookies, you'll love them!) and above all charming people. We had a great week there, enjoyed every minute and found it pretty difficult to say good-bye. We have stayed in quite a lot of wonderful places here in Europe (where we live), but this American B&B place is really exceptional.

We loved this BnB..our kids were gladly welcomed at a last minute change of plans..the breakfast was delicious as were the cookies that were always available..wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be back!! Thanks for making our first bnb stay so wonderful!

This is THE place to stay in the area! This quiet and large Victorian home is conveniently located in the Catawba Island area. This is truly a great find! We stayed two nights in the Spinnaker Suite and this is truly an outstanding bed and breakfast. The rooms were spacious and very clean! The ambience was outstanding and with its rich history it is no wonder. The owners/hosts, Vicki and Scot, you cannot say enough about them, as they are excellent! One note, be ready for breakfast! The food is wonderful and there is plenty to go around. If you would somehow happen to miss breakfast, you have missed a huge treat! Vicki is a wonderful chef and the food was outstanding! I have been in 5 star hotels from New York City to Los Angles and never had I had a breakfast like this. I wish they had one more STAR on the Dining column! The location is perfect to sight seeing or just relaxing with a good book. Being an online seminary student, I need high-speed Internet access. This was never an issue, except for my future boat anchor of a laptop! J Anyway, connectivity was never an issue and the speeds were more than adequate to meet my needs. We read that someone said there was no air conditioning. The days we were there were in the high 80’s and low 90’s and the temperature was always cool. Not sure what happened for them but there is a/c there in mass. I normally do not write reviews but this place is an absolute treasure. It is an outstanding value and a truly a wonderful experience! This would be an excellent choice for a couple’s retreat, honeymoon, vacation or just a couple of days to get away from it all. This is truly a one of a kind experience and we plan to come back…often!

We had a 3 night stay in the tower room. We chose it because we could go out to the exterior look out which was beyond belief on clear nights. It is a small room without closet space but has wall knobs for hanging belongings. If you want more space chose another room. It was fine for us. Very clean accommodations and great food. The hosts go above and beyond. The grounds are very nice and peaceful . We hope to return for a winter stay! Recommend!!!!

Sunnyside is clean, quiet, private -- conveniently located. Owners Vicki and Scot are great hosts.

I chose the Sunnyside Tower for its great location near Miller's Ferry and Mon Ami Vineyard. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfast was outstanding. The rooms are large but lack air conditioning which was missed during the unusually warm weekend. Otherwise a great place to stay. I will be back!

So glad you enjoyed your stay! CLARIFICATION: ALL of our rooms have Air Conditioning. All but 2 are on central air, and those 2 have window units. Maybe it wasn't turned on at that time since it's pretty early in the season...but I just didn't want people to think we don't have air!! :)

We had the best time at Sunnyside Tower. We've been to many other B&Bs all around the country, but few have the charm, the history, and the beauty of SunnySide! The tower suite is the cutest thing ever! We were tucked away like fairy tale characters in a cozy tower bedroom with the most specatular view of the stars from the observation deck on top. Peaceful, at night and yet close to EVERYTHING in the area---wonderful experience! Can't wait to come back! Even booked a family reunion with our family this fall! Best thing is-- all 25 of us can be under one roof!! LOVE IT!!

My husband and I stayed at Sunnyside for our honeymoon this past weekend. It was awesome! The owners are very nice and made us feel at home for the weekend! We will definitely be back soon!

My husband and I were given an overnight stay at this most astonishing place as a Christmas gift. We have traveled to many places over the years but I honestly cannot say we have been anywhere we enjoyed more. We chose to say in the tower bedroom at the encouragment of one of our daughters who had been there last summer. It was awesome. When we go back we will chose another bedroom. Not becuase we did not love it but because there are so many more beautiful rooms to try. The community areas are fantastic and inviting. The companionship and the fellowship of the other visitors was a delight.

Hot tub is a plus, as are balconies and many options to sit and relax. Very nice basketball and tennis courts right next to place if interested. Hosts were very nice as well.

Awesome stay! We love this B&B. This is our second stay here and we will definitely be back. We always thoroughly enjoy our time here.

Our stay at Sunnyside was fabulous! The history of the home is captivating and the world wide treasures that fill the house are fascinating. I could have spent every second of my stay just in the house investigating every nook and cranny of what it has to offer. Each room, each wall decoration, every single thing has a story attached to it. The new owners are the best! Paying particular attention to the needs of their guests they went above and beyond to make our stay more than we expected. Our breakfast was delicious and we were even entertained by a little guitar music courtesy of another guest in the house. Our children loved our stay at Sunnyside just as much as we did. We'll definitely be back!!

A great choice for our sifrt B&B. Sunnyside Tower is a charming restored historic home located in the heart fo the Erie, OH resort area. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. We felt like we were visiting old friends rather than staying at an inn.

Located near Lake Erie, the Sunnysider Tower is an excellent B&B for 2-26 people. Nice rooms, and if renting the whole place, you have 2 kitchens, 8 bedrooms & bathrooms.

Love the history of theplace & the hospitality is great! It's awesome here! Suna is great!

The room was unique and very well kept. In fact the entire B&B was perfect. It felt very homey and comfortable.

We had THE BEST time here during our 3day stay. Rooms were comfortable and spotless. Service was fantastic. Walking distance to Lake Erie, Ferries to Put-in-Bay closeby. Our kids LOVED it! Tennis and park right next door... couldn't have been better! Great breakfasts every morning exactly what we expect of a quality B&B! Thank you! We WILL be back!

We made the decision on Tuesday to drive to that area and stay over on Wednesday! I usually spend days looking for the perfect B & B; this time I had about an hour. The Sunnyside Tower was such a great surprise! We felt instantly at home. John was a wonderful host and sent us to a terrific restaurant for our dinner. We LOVED the Ivy Suite, and we voted the bedding there the best we'd ever slept in at any B & B. We highly recommend the Sunnyside Tower to anyone looking for a great night's sleep in a beautiful older home.
