Lovely comfortable gem. Happy to find kitchen superbly stocked and house within walking distance to enjoyable dining. Sydney was most helpful. We will be returning soon. Rychel & Charley Clarkston, Michigan

We felt like we walked on to a movie set. Every detail of this home ~ from the fragrant heirloom roses in each room to the refrigerator that was surely stocked by a doting grandmother ~ welcomed us and blessed us. We were astounded by Syd's thoughtfulness. Clearly, hosting travelers is her life's passion.

The guest house is a charming, quiet, hideout. It was clean and Syd is a wonderful host. We loved the house so much we got takeout and sat on the back deck and enjoyed the gardens. I would recommend this place to anyone and we hope to return for another relaxing weekend.

From the moment we walked in the gate, we loved this place. The home is beautiful and had everything we could ask for. The owner Sydney was very helpful and sweet as could be. We stayed in the home with another couple. Everyone enjoyed wearing the robes. Also the garage, aka the second living room was great for late night games and music. Breakfast and snacks were fabulous. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

Our stay at the Guesthouse was fantastic and we plan to take any opportunity we have to stay there again. We had originally planned to go out for food, but after seeing the fully stocked fridge, our minds were changed. We thoroughly enjoyed a midnight snack of french bread and goat cheese spread with chives. The complementary bath salts and robes were also quite a nice touch. Basically, every little detail was well thought out and added to an already tastefully and elegantly decorated house.

My sisters and I wanted to have a private girls get away weekend. We decided it would be fun to rent a whole house so we could cook together, talk and relax. The Guesthouse was so much more than we expected. The price was insanely reasonable, and the building itself is beautiful both inside and out. Definitely plan to sit in the garden enjoying coffee and a scone. That was one of the unexpected pleasures of our stay. There were fresh pastries on the counter when we arrived, and a lovely quiche in the refrigerator that we had for breakfast. We made dinner in the amazing kitchen that had a well stocked fridge and pantry. The location is easy to find and set in a tranquil upscale neighborhood. There was shopping, restaurants, and even a theatre very close by. The owner is a warm welcoming woman with lots of knowledge about things to do in the area. If you are looking for a place to meet up with family or old friends and reconnect, this is it.

It has been years since I last stayed at this wonderful inn but I still miss the warm hospitality Syd and Diane provide. All aspects are absolutely outstanding. If I ever make it back to Toledo Ill come see you guys!

We have family in the area and have never found the right hotel/place to stay when visiting...until now!!!! It is like stepping in to a space of a best friend who is 1) the most thoughtful/trusting person ever because the townhouse is appointed with things to make your stay awesome -- Roku TV box, snacks, printer driver, books, and flowers. 2) is literally an interior designer that Martha Stewart would recruit -- layout flows, everywhere you look (inside and outside) there are details/colors/touches that are artistic and fabulous. 3) And lastly, you just know/feel/experience that they have hearts for hospitality, rest, and beauty. What a treat and this is just after 17 hours after arriving! Thank you Syd and Diane -- looking forward to meeting you to say WOW in person!

We looked for someplace cozy to stay for New Years Eve 2010.....and found some place AMAZING instead! We didn't start looking until about a week before the date and honestly thought it would be impossible to find anyplace worth staying......and then we found the Guest House. Syd went above and beyond our expectations-the frig was stocked with enough food for a small army, the robes were wonderful to lounge around in and her input on local dining/pubs was invaluable. New Years was very special this year, as my "other half" was working in Iraq last year. She even left a bottle of champagne for us! Now we can't wait to go back when the yard and garden are in full bloom and we can enjoy the deck and grill........

Spent three days here over a holiday weekend and couldn't have been happier. The Innkeeper, Sydney, made us feel at home and allowed for a good deal of entertaining of our guests at the B & B. Food was great and allowed us to eat on our schedule which was convienent. Great place to spend a relaxing weekend and have the time to read, sit on the front porch, and relax. The gardens and outside great room/barn/garage were an added bonus!!
