Inn Details

The Housley House Bed and Breakfast is a spacious and cozy Victorian Italianate home that was built in 1883 and is listed on the National Registry of historical homes. Yet you will only feel a sense of home when you enter! The restored beauty is the perfect place for you to rest and get away from it all. Teresamarie has been said to have the gift of hospitality. She has been in the culinary field since she was 14 years old and has many specialties for you to enjoy. Before building the Housley House B&B from ground up, she ran a B&B in California, close to Lake Tahoe and she has brought alittle bit of California to Ohio in her cooking. The Innkeepers live in their own attached area so the guests get to enjoy the entire historical house (excluding the kitchen) for the gatherings. We even do murder mysteries and lantern walks.

Perfect for that intimate wedding, elopement or renewal because the innkeeper - Teresamarie is a licensed minister with over 15 years experience in making that day the perfect fit for the two of you!

There is so much to do while visiting the Housley House but if you should decide not to "do" alot of activities, and just want to relax, hide and getaway......this is the place! Read our reviews! They say it all! Then come see if they are true.... and you decide.

As a child Teresa Marie spent summers at her Aunt and Uncle's Bed and Breakfast in York Beach, Maine, called The Pink house and then later on in her years she ran a Bed and Breakfast herself in the Sierra Mountains of California close to Lake Tahoe and it was here that she fell in love with all the different types of local foods and when starting up her own Bed and Breakfast in Grand Rapids, Ohio she decided to bring a little of California and a little bit of York Beach Maine to Grand Rapids, Ohio. This wonderful Breakfast dish has just a little bite, combined with 3 different cheeses and fluffy eggs starts your day off on the right foot and will keep your tummy happy until its time for lunch downtown at one of our awesome restaurants. Teresa Marie's bread pudding, specialty scone and hot punch are visitors favorites. But the thing that Teresa Marie is really known for and goes beyond for is her gift of hospitality and serving. That is what people return for. To be spoiled and relax.
