We went to Ravenwood for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. NO PHONE, NO WIFI...but that's OK...left it all behind. The inn keepers were fabulous as was all the staff. Quickly gave us suggestions for games to play. Pub food, beer and zombie killer was wonderful. Only bad side, the dinner. Overpriced and not good. Catered from a local restaurant and we had no choices. Just not our taste. However, that was the ONLY bad thing about the trip. And the breakfast was fabulous (pancake and sausage casserole). Had fun playing games with another couple and then the staff joined us. Zach and Dina are wonderful hosts...taught us any game we wanted to learn...and then played along! Will return for sure!!!!

My husband and I stayed at Ravenwood Castle for our 1st anniversary. It was a great opportunity to "unplug". We stayed in the Shakespeare Suite (where there is no tv). We spent most of our time when we were at the castle in the tavern playing games. The staff is very accomodating and loves to encourage guests to play games. The breakfast is also excellent. Overall a very fun and unique weekend getaway.

We had our first Ravenwood stay for Con at the Castle in the Candle Maker Cottage. The staff and the owners were awesome beyond expectations!! It is not often you dine, game and talk with the actual owner of an establishment. Both Jim and Pam were out with the guests and genuinely interested in everyone's thoughts about the event, and their stay. The gaming at the castle was a blast! The event was small enough to feel intimate yet large enough to meet new people, play new games and share our favorites! The food was beyond expectations! The grounds were also very lovely and the cottages were very charming. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in our cottage. The room was damp and smelled musty (it was raining the entire weekend). The lack of a bathroom door was an issue for us and we likely would not stay in that cottage again. Even though the cottage was disappointing, it did not diminish our experience and we would recommend the Castle and return without hesitation and the Castle was just beautiful! Overall it was a fantastic weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed the event and our experience!

The castle is really cool! Rooms were fabulous! We came in the evening and were told that pub food was available. The food that was considered pub food was soup from a can and a grilled cheese sandwich that was not fully cooked. The castle is a bit remote, which is fine if you are aware of that. The breakfast was a whole different experience. It tasted great!! They need that cook on staff in the evening too.

One of my all time favorite destinations. The drive to the castle can be tricky since it's dirt road and hilly, but it's well worth it. Breakfast is always great! Be sure to get good directions since you can't see the castle from the main road.

This was the first time I have ever been to a Bed and Breakfast. I must admit that I was a bit skeptical to be experiencing this in a castle. My skepticism was turned to awe as I saw that Ravenwood has the aesthetics and feel of an authentic mid-evil castle but coupled with all modern amenities. This may have been my first visit but I guarantee it will not be my last!

We were intrigued by the Castle and found the grounds exceptional. We wish we could have seen some of the other rooms. Our room was what we expected however, it was right next to the pub. Thankfully the pub was not used the night we were there. The staff was nice but no one introduced themselves and I found that the majority of the public parts of the castle were dark. We were unable to have breakfast the morning we left but were given muffins to take with us. We would stay there again, just in a different room. I suggest when guests check in that the staff introduce themselves. A very neat experience.

We stayed in the Tanner Cabin which was just remodel. The room was very nice and comfortable. The dining experience with the Beer Tasting could have gone smoother but it was still very enjoyable. The pace of the meal was a little slow. We plan on going staying there again!

Ravenwood is a great country getaway—one of Ohio’s hidden gems. I would recommend a two-night stay: one in the castle itself, and one in one of the cottages. My wife and I were looking for a quant, quiet (as well as affordable) experience, and we definitely found that at Ravenwood.
