Garden Gate Get-A-Way

Garden Gate Get-A-Way B&B is definitely the lodging choice for Nature Lovers! Picture this ...You pull in the driveway to check-in and see horses grazing in the neighboring field. On the way to your guest room you catch a glimpse of a Monarch butterfly floating along the flower-lined path. You stop to take in the country setting by sitting on a porch swing and see a hummingbird bouncing from flower to flower in the gardens. After some rest and relaxation you stroll over to the apple trees and now you get approached by the neighboring horses. You pluck a couple of apples off of the tree and feed them to the horses. That evening, when you return from dinner, you see flames dancing in the fire ring as you drive up the road. You walk up the flower-lined pathway to your guest rooms and are greeted by your innkeepers as they welcome you to come and unwind at the evening campfire. You grab some coffee, hot chocolate or maybe even a glass of wine and come to the fire ring which is situated in the middle of the gardens. As the sun starts to set you notice fire flies dancing around the yard and hear a concert from the birds in the area singing to you. As time passes by you hear the gentle clopping of horse hooves as an Amish buggy passes down the road.

It can't get any better than this! When all of the shops and restaurants close and the night is peaceful, gather around our evening outdoor fire to visit with other guests, roast some marshmallows and hear the horses clopping down the road as they find their way home for the evening. This is a great time to share your adventures of the day with your innkeepers and other guests! Our summer perennials will take your breath away! We have planted a 3-season garden along the brick pathway that leads to your guest room. Take time to relax on a porch swing, glider or rocking chair to enjoy the burst of color.
Garden Gate Suite: Luxury & elegance are the first things you think of when you walk through the door. An immediate warmth surrounds you with the rich, green-leaf wallpaper and large, oak fireplace. Gazing at the floral border is like stepping into one of Monet's gardens. The corner Jacuzzi tub has several jets to offer a great massage. The queen-size bed has 600-thread count sheets and a lambs wool comforter so that you can lose yourself in the luxury. The Queen Anne chairs are also Lazyboy recliners! This suite has a TV/VCR/DVD player, radio/CD alarm clock, in-room coffeemaker and air conditioning.Bleeding Hearts blooming in the Spring
When you enter the Potting Shed guest room it's as if you are stepping from one garden into another. The picket fence headboard will be the first thing to catch your eye. You can almost smell the cheerful pink tulips in the wallpaper border and the floral decor. When you open your shade in the morning you may be greeted by a big, bright Clematis. When you need to take a break you will love the cushioned, glider rockers. Just outside your guest room door is a porch swing where you can watch the neighboring Belgian horses grazing and Amish buggies passing by. The Potting Shed has a queen bed, TV & VCR, CD/radio alarm clock, in-room coffeemaker and heating/air conditioning unit. This room adjoins with the Briar Patch Room which makes it like having a suite when traveling with friends or family.Rose Garden Room: As you walk into the Rose Garden, you can almost smell the roses. This guest room has an ambiance of elegance and romance. The pillow-soft, king-size bed with its 600-thread count sheets will make you feel like royalty. The corner fireplace not only adds warmth to the room, but it provides an intimate feeling as you gaze at the dancing flames. If you just want to relax, the Queen Anne chairs offer a comfortable place to sit. While the wall behind the bed has burgundy wallpaper with roses, the other 3 walls have an ivory/beige striped wallpaper giving the room a light, airy feeling. The Rose Garden also has a TV and VCR, CD/radio alarm clock, in-room coffeemaker and air conditioning.
When you arrive and fall in the soft, Lazy Boy rocker, or glider rocker, after a long day of shopping in Amish country, you can look out your guest room window and find a beautiful sight! Your room is along a garden path where you will see wild birds landing on a fountain to take a drink. In the evening you will get a glimpse of our campfire as you relax. This room has both an outside entrance and another door that leads to our Common Room. This room adjoins with the Potting Shed Room which makes it like having a suite when traveling with friends or family.Grab a glass of lemonade because you're going to feel like your sitting on a summer porch looking out at grape vines & ivy when you relax in our wicker rockers. This is our most private, standard room that emits a light, airy feeling. Our guests have voted this room to have the most comfortable bed. When you gaze out your window you will be captured by the burst of color in the gardens. You might even catch a glimpse of a humming bird, horses in the field, birds in a bird bath, and /or our evening campfire.
