Alexandra's Bed and Breakfast

We are former residents of Madison County and return to visit with friends for an alumni gathering. Not wanting to stay at the local hotels located at a major interstate exchange we choose to stay at Alexander B&B. Very nice B&B, safe and secure rooms and entrance. Would recommend to friends and family returning to London for a weekend.

Alexandra's was a perfect overnight on our way to Columbus. My girlfriend and I wanted a place not to far as we were attending the Country Fair early the next day. The hosts, Ron and Susan were lovely and were very accommodating with an early breakfast so we could use our early bird tickets to the fair. Our room was the Loft which provided 2 beds, private bath and kitchenette. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the back porch in the evening and were served a delicious breakfast in the morning. We checked out some of the other rooms and each is unique and lovely. We thought we might bring back our husbands!

Alexandra's Bed and Breakfast is a beautifully decorated inn in the heart of London. The owners are friendly and eager to please, and the breakfast was fabulous.

We had such an enjoyable weekend. Ron and Susan are two of the nicest people we have ever met. They treated us like we were members of their family and made us feel like valued customers.

We had a great stay. The Innkeepers were very friendly, the breakfastwas delicious and it is a very nice house. It was a very relaxing visit.

Perfect weekend getaway, fantastic hosts, entertaining stories, curious decorations of yesteryear.

This is an historic bed & breakfast very well run. The innkeepers are very nice people, however, they forgot about our reservation and were not there when we arrived. The house is beautiful, clean and well kept. But the ugly green carpet should be replaced with hardwood for a more authentic feel. Breakfast was good. It's worth staying here as long as they don't forget about you!!

We regret the delay however we have a great staff. Our groundskeeper was able to meet the guests right away and make arrangements for the check in. We have only one room with carpet and they certainly could have changed rooms. All rooms can be viewed on our website. We also appreciate there positive comments about the BB and enjoyed their company.

Quiet and peaceful. great get away had time to read and relax no big crowds

This is the most amazing place I have ever had the pleasure of staying in my life. We entered into a magnificent entrance where we were met by the owner Ron whose wife Susan we met the next day. Ron gave us a complete tour of the B&B talking about all the individual rooms, the history of his place with such pride and love. We had the pleasure of spending three nights in the Fitzgerald Suite. It was a quaint room with a full bath. The room was so beautifully appointed with antiques, old period clothing and even a few pictures of their family. I personally slept better there than I have in 2 years; it is so quiet and peaceful. Even though it sits on Main street to sit on the balcony or porch and just watch the small town charm of London. It’s heaven on earth. The breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, fresh juices, coffee, tea and great plates of quiche, sausages, bacon, and pastries each and every day were delicious. My personal favorite was the French toast with blueberries and a great sauce. The price was outstanding and the hospitality impeccable. This is our new favorite place to stay while visiting our family in London. A special thanks to Ron and Susan for a great weekend. I was looking for a place to stay for the night and came across this Bed and Breakfast. I was very glad that I did. It is a very charming place with very nice and friendly people. I got some much needed rest in a very relaxing atmosphere. I loved the place and would recommend it to anyone. I am from Indiana and would definately stay at Alexandra's Bed and Breakfast again when in the area.

We had a very relaxing weekend in this charming B&B. Felt like we were home away from home, without all the added work! We enjoyed our cozy room. and spent the evening on the back porch sipping our wine and relaxing after a hard day of cycling. We will recommend this B&B to all our friends and family!

I came on business to get some work done in a comfortable environment. I left refreshed both physically and mentally. And I accomplished al lot while I was there. Thanks to host Ron and Susan for their hospitality.

Loved everything. I am glad that I chose this B&B for my sister's first stay at a B&B, it was beautiful and the owners were very gracious. Highly recommend it. Even though we had a function in Columbus, the 25 minute drive was well worth it. We stayed in the York room, and my sister stayed in teh Roosevelet Room. Our wedding ran over and we didnt get to the Inn as expected. We had called ahead and explained we would be late. Ron greeted us with a smiling face when we arrived. He showed us to our room and recommended a local restaurant for dinner. After returning, we were able to explore the Inn, looking at several photo albums which had the history of the Inn. Breakfast was at our convenience , a bit later than normal as we were the only guests that night. At breakfast both Ron and Susan shared details of purchasing and renovating the inn. What a special treat to learn of the excitement the two of them shared. The room was very clean with a jacuzzi tub for two!! We will definitely return.

My father and I came to town for a family funeral. Ron and Susan made us feel comfortable and gave a split room with joining bathroom. The room was clean and cozy. The shared bathroom was also clean and convenient. The time spent there was mainly to rest and detach form the emotional charge we had from being there in Ohio, and it did just that. The breakfast quiche we had was simple and tasty, Susan made mine vegetarian with no issues and tasted quite good. Typically I season my food as I used to be a chef in a hotel and I can be a little picky about my food. I enjoyed the conversation and company Ron provided in the morning prior to breakfast. We were there on a Tuesday Wednesday so we had the run of the place. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for the stay.

I was given the room in the back on the third floor. The bathroom had a cracked toilet seat and peeling enamel paint in the interior surface of the sink. The bedroom door had four security devises because the dead bolt lock did not engage in the strike plate. The breakfast was awful. Never going back.

Room and hot tub were both great. Breakfast was a little disappointing.

My husband and I wanted to get away for the weekend and found Alexandra's the perfect spot to stay in proximity to Clifton Gorge. Walking into Alexandra's was like going back in time with all the antiques and the decor to fit the Victorian style home. We loved looking through the photo album showing the progression of the remodeling, AND the book with the letters and stories about the original owners. Our hosts were very friendly and personable. Breakfast was fabulous. The modern twist of having a hot tub in the room was great, and even though the bathroom was literally right in the room, the screen gave one privacy and was just fine. We truly enjoyed our stay and would like to return.

My boyfriend and I found this charming B&B while looking online for a place to stay within range of hiking at state parks (near London and Yellow Springs). Alexandra's was even prettier than it appeared in its picture. The decor was lovely and authentic, with each room painstakingly detailed by the innkeepers (both of whom were very sweet and welcoming throughout our visit). Our bedroom, the York room, felt cozy but still roomy. The whirlpool tub in the private bath was so relaxing that we almost hated to get out for breakfast! I'm glad we did, though - the innkeepers made a delicious meal for us, giving us ample space to talk but gladly chatting with us about politics and local history as well. We'll definitely be back!

Had a very nice stay. Had the whole place to ourselves on a Sunday night stay, had a scrumptious breakfast... left full and relaxed. Clean, charming, & hospitality was great.

My stay at Alexandra's B&B was a very pleasant one. The house was beautiful and I actually felt like I was beautiful and I actually felt like I was back in time. It was so relaxing. The people were so accommodating and pleasant. The breakfast was so delicious. A+

Lovely place & owners

Susan Brown has done an extraordinary job with her big old Victorian! It is gracious & welcoming, just like her. Lovely rooms, well separated. The house was full and we didn't hear a peep! Everyone had a hot shower or bath too! Scrumptios breakfast!

A warm welcome and good breakfast. Carriage house room was functional and large. Some political talk and religious items in rooms that I was not expecting. That didn't feel entirely appropriate.

We experienced a lovely victorian weekend. Rooms were quiet and spacious with modern conveniences in an old-world atmosphere.

Alexandra's was excellent! My boyfriend and I stayed for a weekend and actually ended up having the whole place to ourselves! Loved the intimate Victorian atmosphere - felt like I was staying in a Victorian dollhouse, or a museum replica of a Victorian room. Staff was very helpful, gave a personal touch, went out of their way to make the experience enjoyable. Very romantic settings - a swing on a balcony to cozy up on with a blanket, romantic spacious rooms, a jacuzzi tub, a wide selection of toiletries, large comfortable beds. Excellent romantic getaway for a couple. Will definitely consider staying at Alexandra's again!

This B&B off the beaten path offers a 19th century ambiance while offering up-to-date amenities. Ron's stories were a delight to hear, and Susan's cooking is something to brag about. Wherever you turn in this house, you will be sure to find another hidden treasure.

My husband and I had a fabulous night in a romantic room where the decor was gorgeous. It put us in a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. The whirlpool was heavenly which was the icing on a spectacular weekend!

This is our third time to stay at the inn. We always stay in B&B;s when we travel- they are as much our destination as well as a place to stay. Alexandra's is definitely worth a return visit!

It's easy to see why a B&B will be my frequent lodging of choice for future getaways. The Browns couldn't' have made you feel more comfortable and welcome and truly at home without having to do the work!

The owners were very nice and helpful. The room was very nice and was fun to stay in. A good experience and I would stay there again.

Four ladies decided to go to little nashville. Thanks Heavens they had lost power with an ice storm or we would never have discovered this wonderful place. We were desperate for time away and Alexandras made our weekend unforgetable. From the cozy quiet rooms to the mouth watering breakfast. I can not say enough about how wonderful it was. For a building so large it sure seemed cozy.

My husband, beagle and I recently traveled from NJ to our new home in NV. Along the way we stayed at Alexandra’s because of its “pet friendly” status. We were absolutely delighted by the exquisitely decorated inn. Not only was it beautiful to look at, it was extremely comfortable and the owners were the most pleasant people we encountered during our trip! We were even served a delicious pancake breakfast! We could not have asked for more!

My wife took me here for a weekend getaway. This Bed and breakfast is simply amazing. Ron and Susan were very accomodating and welcoming. The house is gorgious and filled with history. The price was very reasonable and cheaper than any hotel room with the same accomodations that Ron and Sue provide. The location is perfect, set in a small town yet close enough Columbus, Springfield, or Jeffersonville. The atmosphere is one of rest and relaxation. Our goal was to relax and escape the hassle of busy lives for the weekend and thanks to Ron and Susan this goal was accomplished. Thank you Ron and Susan.

Anniversary get-away allowed quiet, relaxed time together. The hosts were very accommodating. Decor was outstanding victorian style.

The rooms in this old Victorian home have been refurbished to make you comfortable at every turn. The owners are lovely and attentive to your needs. I would definitly recommend to anyone looking for a family gathering, or just a romantic weekend away.

Ten students and three chaperoning adults (2 teachers, 1 Dad) were warmly welcomed, comfortable housed and wonderfully fed by Susan, the owner.

The B&B was perfect. it was beautiful, very warm and inviting, and the innkeepers were most gracious. the ground and house was beautiful and very relaxing.

Many hours of arduous labor went into the restoration of this beautiful 135 year old home. We even loved the modern addition of the jacuzzi tub!

Great room, great breakfast, wonderful hosts! Unfortunately, travel was for business so did not get to enjoy the beautiful porch. Wireless connection was good.

A warm and comfortable Victorian home - friendly hosts and wonderful breakfast (and brownies!)

Our children gave us this weekend getaway with proximity to the bike path in mind. We had a great time and enjoyed our time on the trails and at the Inn. We would highly reccomend this Inn.

When business takes me to London OH for one night or a month, this is my home away from home! The rooms are warm/inviting. Ron and Susan are fantastic hosts. Nice to have access to all the amentities of home instead of just some boring hotel room. Relaxing/rocking on front porch after a long day at the office is just wonderful. Only 15 minute drive to Hilliard/Rome Exit (I-70) for full variety of restaurants/retail businesses or 30 minutes to downtown Columbus. My husband and I stayed two nights at the Alexandra 's Bed and Breakfast. It was a nice quiet small town for a quick getaway. We really enjoyed the enviroment. The breakfast and service was exceptional. This was our first experience of a bed and bedfast and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We were so satisfied we will probably visit them again. The experience was so positive in future we look into staying at other bed and breakfasts.

Our mom lives in Florida. My sister and I meet half way to pass her from Ohio to Indiana. Alexandra's was perfect in everyway. The rooms were charming, clean and comfortable. the food was excellent, The hospitality was awsome. We'll stay at Alexandria's again.

Quiet and Comfortable

I took my fiance to Alexandra's because she deserves the best and thats exactly what we both received. I will be ringing her back and creating more memories for us!!

My fiancee and I work so hard and he thought this would be a great getaway. Our experience was beyond amazing and we definitely created a new and beautiful memeory! We will definitely return and refer everyone we kow to Alexandra's!!

The stay was great. The rooms were clean & elegantly decorated with T.V. DVD and personal restroom nearby. The hosts were friendly & breakfast was served at a time best for the guest & was delicious!

We loved our stay at Alexandra's. The accommodations to our schedule & likes were met. We enjoyed touring the property & gardens. We relaxed on the porch the eve of our arrival & used it again the next am & afternoon.

Ron & Susan make you feel right at home. From the bathrobe on the back of the door to the selection of lotions & body sprays in the bathroom. Susan sat & chatted while I ate a beautiful, hot breakfast with a big mug of coffee.

What a wonderful old style throughout the home, yet a has a touch of the modern amenities for comfort. Food and ambious was exceptional. It was a wonderful first time to a B&B experience.

We really liked our stay, everything was great. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a nice elegant B&B. We didn't try the evening meal because we wanted to try the Red Brick Tavern (which we also liked).

My husband and I stayed here with our two children for Valentine's Day weekend 2007. I enjoyed everything about this B&B; the beautiful antique decor, the comfortable beds, the nice innkeepers, and the delicious breakfast. When my mom came for a visit this year, I decided I would treat her to a "Girls' Weekend" at Alexandra's B & B. This was her first B & B and she was so impressed. She has already started making plans for another stay here sometime during the summer.

I enjoyed staying here for the first time. Hope to be back same time next year, if not before.
