This elegant Victorian, built by a local doctor 120 years ago, features fine oak woodwork, original stained, leaded glass windows, winding staircase, period furniture and a player piano. The former doctor's office has been transformed into a cozy den with cable TV, VCR/DVD collection, and reading materials. Desks are available in the secluded octagonal office, and in "The Pub", with its rich oak wainscoting, molded tin ceiling, and English Pub collectibles. Business travelers appreciate free high-speed wireless Internet service anywhere in the house. Certainly, hot and cold beverages, bottled water, and snacks are available anytime. The convenient location in Historic Uptown Galion, large secure, well-lighted parking area, quiet central A/C, and flexible breakfast schedules complete this exquisite bed and breakfast visit.
The "Yellow" room is frequently chosen for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, and other special occasions.
Guests immediately feel at home in this spacious guestroom, with its vintage "waterfall" furniture and unusual wallpaper print of stags and wildflowers.
Stunning Victorian wallpaper creates the perfect setting for the golden bird's eye maple bedroom suite in the popular guestroom.
"Quiet, restful and cozy" describe the pale mauve ribbon theme of this guestroom.

This was my first experience staying at a Bed and Breakfast. I am now a convert and will never stay in a motel again. The entire house, including my room, was spotlessly clean and everything was in perfect working order. The house itself is beautiful but I greatly enjoyed sitting out on the front porch, reading a book and watching small town Galion pass by. Marge was a joy and saw to my every need. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will return again!

My husband and I stay here several times a year when visiting in Galion and Mansfield. The Inn is always spotless! Marge and Bill are friendly and informative and as long as one makes them aware of needs, wants and plans, they try to accommodate. We are not the type that like the big breakfast with other guests so the hard boiled eggs, muffins, fruit and cereal suit us perfectly. We are early risers and Marge is always sure to have coffee ready to brew when we get up. Even when I travel alone, I feel comfortable and safe there. I highly recommend The Rose of Sherron!

This is an immaculate, gorgeously restored 1889 home, to which I would go out of my way at least an hour or two to stay at again. Marge Sherron goes out of her way to be welcoming, helpful and hospitable without "prying." My second-floor room in the "turret," with private bath, was spotless and spacious, colorfully decorated in sort of a '40s style, which "worked" (and the bath was quite up-to-date). Marge served a Sunday-morning egg casserole, bundt cake and freshly mixed fruit, plus really good coffee. On top of all this, I asked to be able to come back to change clothes at 3 p.m. on my departure date before I hit the road, and this was no problem at all. Call the Sherrons if you're needing accommodations between Columbus and Toledo -- you'll absolutely be glad you did.

We were there for only one night in august but really enjoyed the stay. Marge went out of her way to make our time enjoyable. We will be back for a longer stay next time! Bob Stone
