We stayed one night at Rose Gate Cottage and would highly recommend this Victorian house. Our host met us at the door and took us to our room which was cool and inviting, despite the weather being very hot. The bed had a feature which allowed each of us to adjust the firmness of the mattress to our own liking. The en-suite bathroom had a whirlpool tub. Breakfast was nicely served and very tasty. We will stay again if we are in Findlay, a very interesting city, with the wonderful Mazza Museum collection at the University.

The innkeepers were really nice and the house decor was gorgeous. The owners really paid attention to detail. We have reserved a room once again, trying a different room this time. We are looking forward to returning next month.

this place is extremely cozy! it's on a side street off a side street in downtown Findlay. also near some nice antique shops. the breakfast was an apple pancake souffle and a couple sausages. it was very fancy and a fun new experience. the hosts were very nice and beds were comfortable. beautiful victorian furniture and woodwork throughout the house i wish i could give more than 5 stars for value. we've been to many B&Bs, and this one gives WAY more than you pay for.

    It was just ok

The hosts were very nice, and the dog very cute. There was no homemade soap-just really cheap bars. Same with shampoo. Never saw a robe. Breakfast was toast, sausage, strawberries & eggs. No puffed pancake. There was no air & it was hot. Opened windows & really loud traffic noise! The room was ok & the bed comfortable.. Nice deck.

    Nice room, weird breakfast

The Rose Gate Cottage B & B had a wonderful room (Garden Villa) with a beautiful 2 person bathtub! My husband and I definitely enjoyed our room. However, the breakfast in the morning was the most odd food I've received at a "Bed and Breakfast." The point of a "Bed and Breakfast" is for both...right? Well the breakfast was cold cereal (only once choice) and a banana, and a slice (one each) of toast. My husband really would have appreciated a second slice of toast! I have really never eaten this type of food at a B&B. Typically it is eggs and bacon, or a gourmet treat! I would assume, at the very least, one would recieve hot oatmeal. I was disappointed in this aspect. One reason is because we had to get up early to have breakfast! If it is a cold cereal and a slice of toast (that I toasted myself) why couldn't we have breakfast at our leisure? No one was making anything for us...so I don't understand why the timing was important? Other than that, a nice place.
