    The Emerald Necklace is one of Cleveland's historic treasures. Built in 1863 at the time of the Civil War. The Gilles family operated Fairview Parks first County General Store here. The Innkeeper - Gloria Cipri-Kemer, is the owner and proprietor. In keeping with the Gilles tradition of hospitality, we give a washboard to each newlywed couple that stays with us. Gloria was born in Denver Colorado and raised by a family known for their self taught artistry. She is naturally gifted in arts and design as seen in her hand-painted African violet pots she sells from the Inn. The restored building and gardens that surround the Inn reflect the talent of the innkeeper as well. "The Emerald Necklace Inn represents a long time dream of mine to create a home away from home for the visitors to Cleveland" The Inn sits on the threshold of the Cleveland Metroparks with easy access to a multitude of outdoor activities. We are certified with the Ohio Bed and Breakfast Association. Come and visit to see how the Emerald Necklace Inn keeps the charm of the past alive.

    The Emerald Necklace Inn has a delightful tea room open to the public at 11:30. The decor is reminiscent of the Victorian times with all the quaint accessories. I enjoyed my full course meal and tasting the different teas that were offered. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The attached tea store has beautiful tea pots and numerous tea accessories along with almost any loose leaf tea you can think of. There are three rooms available for guests and my next visit I plan to stay the night. It was a fantastic tea experience.

    I took my mother to the "High Tea" in January 2010 for my mother's 88th Birthday. The Tea was really special and we both loved the Chocolate desserts. It was a special day and celebration plus there was a group of teenage girls also celebrating a 13th Birthday Party and my mom loved just watching their celebration. Thank you for a special celebration. We plan to bring friends back to celebrate Mother's Day this year. Gretchen Collins Parma, Ohio

    I was so happy with my visit to the INN. The people were very helpful and accomidating. I have never been a fan of tea before and I loved the Gemini tea that was being served. Thank you very much to Gloria and her wonderful staff. I will definetly be visiting again soon.

    My husband surprised me with a February gift! He packed my overnight bag and took me right to the Inn where we enjoyed the most relaxing, romantic evening and delicious breakfast in the morning! The Beautiful Victorian home was clean and so homey! The extra special touches that Gloria adds is definately unforgettable. I have made a friend and gained a "hideaway". I'm even using her Inn as an incentive for my business!!! The breakfast she makes "home style" and is delicious! The setting is beautiful with the Metroparks surrounding the majority of it. I felt as if I were miles from home and I really am only 5 minutes! A real treasure in my backyard! I recommend it to everyone!!!! Dawn Bartos
