The Dining Room exudes warmth through the spacious baywindows, which contains a massive window seat. The ceiling has wonderful hand painted designs and from it hangs a majestic imported glass chandelier. Two lighted built-in cabinets, original to the house, contain a wonderful collection of 19th century European porcelains. A pair of 18th century enameled Chinese urns, turned lamps, grace the front windows along with two red satin "Gone-With-The-Wind" gas lamps. Several paintings are in the parlor, including two original early 19th Century New England paintings, one by the sought after Newport, RI artist, Elijah Baxter. Washington Glass Co., with double overlay glass and original prisms and double oval shade sits atop an unique "turtle" style marble top table.

The Inn's second Victorian hall tree is in this foyer. The steps is one path to the upstairs suites and a large, hand carved "Majestic Lady" wall mirror, acquired in Boston, greets the guests as they go to the second floor.

Bellevue Ohio is a charming town, with lots of potential for re-development. Tree-lined streets, and friendly people are the hallmark of the area. The Victorian Tudor Inn is a perfect fit for that kind of ambience. The innkeeper, Richard, is friendly and accommodating. We arrived from California via Cleveland airport near midnight. Lights were on and our host greeted us - so very welcoming. Our lovely blue and white Nautica suite was comfy and restful. The jacuzzi tub - nice! The innkeeper had a bottle of Chardonnay chilling at our request, and delivered wine, ice bucket and crystal glasses to our room. We were there for 3 breakfasts, each one different and each delicious. We will return to this lovely place. It will be like coming home again.

May 08, 2013
My daughter and I were riding our bikes on the wonderful bike trail in this area and decided to stay a night at The Victorian Tudor Inn. We were warmly greeted by the Innkeeper and he made sure we fully informed about the Inn and all the treats we could access, like the free soda, bottled water, snacks and even local wine. Our room was so comfy, the beds so beautiful, and the suite so nicely decorated. We truly felt very special. And breakfast was GREAT. I will add Richard allowed us to secure our bikes in the estate's huge garage and I suspect he does this for all with bikes.
Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your wonderful comments; we are fortunate to get a number of cyclists who stay at our INN because of the trail. Having met a number of them and knowing the value and care that goes into their bikes we provide secured areas for them. We also do this for the our quests with motorcycles.5 out of 5VERY NICE WEEKEND
May 07, 2013
We stayed on a very busy weekend for the Inn. And even though it was quite crowded the Innkeeper did an amazining job at accommodating everyone. And we have to admit we added to the confusion as we accidently made our reservation for the following day, but arrived the day before; which of course made the Inn overbooked. But the Innkeeper was a delight, made a wonderful breakfast and attended to our needs. The Inn is quite unique and we will be back.

Nautical Suite
The centerpiece of this suite is an impressive queen size Mahogany carved poster bed adorned with the prince of Wales' plumes. It is highlighted with a number of nautical paintings including the Lake Erie and Cape Cod regions. The dresser is unique, it is a ca. 1900 mahogany piece from Boston, hand painted with enamel scenes from Japan, and amazingly it is artist signed. Additionally, a beautifully carved 19th Century ship captain's table is used for a side bed table and holds a LCD flat screen TV with 155 cable channels. A comfortable couch, chair and a desk also compliment the suite. And a walk-in closet is part of this suite.

Please know there are steps here. Steps to get in the house and steps to your room. Plenty of sitting space to enjoy the antiques that beautifully decorate this entire home!
Innkeeper Response
We appreciate your feedback. I do think it is fair to say you will not find a Victorian estate without stairs. Having said that, for those who do have limitations with stairs we offer a first floor suite, which is clearly identified in the descriptions of the rooms.3.4 out of 5antique getaway
May 01, 2013
we traveled 3 hrs for our stay to celebrate a special occasion. the host was very welcoming and took pride in the obvious extensive antique collection that fills every corner of every room. lucky for us we were the first of four couples to arrive, because our room was double booked. arrangements were made for the other couple, but i'm glad we were there first because we had the nicest room and would have been very dissappointed to have traveled all that way to stay in a different room. not much to criticize, but if i was being picky, i would suggest they invest in some higher thread count sheets, also, the restaurant menu examples there, are for below average places, so use google to find a good rated one. it's a nice neighborhood, but not much to do during non peak times.
Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your comments. The Inn does use 300 count OR higher bed sheets. It does sound like your dining experience was not good, however Bellevue does have five locally owned (not chains) restaurants (Italian, German, Mexican, Steak house, and our Golf Club) that pride themselves on serving quality meals. And unfortuantely the overbooking was due to a quest booking the wrong date and arriving a day early. Fortunately we were able to accommodate everyone.5 out of 5Memorable

Amazing, wonderful and relaxing. The Victorian Tudor Inn is an impeccable, romantic charming, quaint place to stay. In fact because of the ambiance of The Victorian Tudor Inn I was pleasantly surprised with a marriage proposal. When we walked in the WOW factor really hit us. Richard is very personable and quite accomodating. I feel fortunate that for our first stay at a B & B it was this lovely place. The only thing better is having a fiancee who loves me enough to make it all happen. Look forward to staying again
5 out of 5The most comfortable bedroom other than my own!
January 06, 2013
My husband and I stayed at The Victorian Tudor Inn during New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. We value any historical ambiance, a worthy collection of antiques and art work, and the most expensive word in our language - 'kindness.' You will find yourself enveloped in an atmosphere of history, beauty, and intrigue as you tour through the Inn. It is clean, decorated to perfection, and so conveniently located to a dozen major attractions. We stayed in the Greenslade Room, which was absolutely gorgeous. The room delivered a theatre of relaxation and pride. Pride from the articulous work of the Innkeeper, Richard Stegman, and the relaxation from us, the patrons. We were treated to a breakfast of apple cinnamon french toast, organic berries, and bacon. More importantly was the development and ease of conversation that was had sitting around the 19th century dining room table. Mr. Richard Stegman has given an incredible amount of detail to the Victorian Inn, concentrating on historical authenticity and charm. This is a diamond to be found and experienced in Bellevue, Ohio. We have stayed in Bed and Breakfast facilities on Rainbow Row in Charleston, and none compare to the immaculate reception we found here.
