Restored early 1800's grist mill. All rooms have a private bath and queen size beds. We are located approx. 1 mile from Yellow Springs - very close to bike paths, John Bryan State Park and Glen Helen Nature Preserve that both offer incredible hiking and scenic trails. You cannot find a more relaxing and peacefull setting.

I spent several nights at Grinnell Mill over a holiday weekend and found it memorable. The building is beautifully restored, everything is impeccably clean, the beds are comfortable and everyone associated with this B & B is accommodating and gracious. Hope to make a return visit! Did a girls getaway & rented the entire mill--all beds were very comfy; great bathrooms (2 showers up & 1 tub down); huge suite downstairs had 2 beds. Only 1 comfy love seat though, rest were rocking chairs, benches, picnic table type for dining but trying to keep in with the history of the period. Had muffins brought in the AM, fruit, yogurt, OJ, cereal & popcorn provided, coffee & tea. Full kitchen was great. Just a couple of notes: would not want to "share" the mill with others staying there-just not private enough we all felt. And, this place is a historical "spot" so there were people "milling" about outside. There is a sign you can put on the door stating the mill is "being rented for a private function" to keep people away but we always kept the door locked since there were people wandering around outside taking pictures, etc. Its a great deal to rent the entire place for yourself though & split the cost. Wonderful photos of before & after provided throughout. Absolutely beautiful restoration/preservation.

If you love history preserved this place is a must!! Our family rented the whole mill for the weekend and we were in absolute awe of this hidden treasure! We were met at the mill and given a 45min history of the rebuilding, of how the mill ran, and then we were on our own to explore the basement and 3rd floor, figuring out how all the belts, pulleys and running went. The decor is inclusive of old parts of the mill for table tops, etc wherever possible. It is a museum in itself, without the bed and breakfast. Everything, clear thru the basment was spotless! The innkeeper does an outstanding job...there was not one cobweb in the whole place and she brought us incredible homemade muffins and coffeecake each morning with such warmth and friendliness. There were also various cereals, oatmeal, yogurts, milk, juice, coffee and tea available as well for our breakfast. The bedrooms were very roomy, very comfortable beds with cozy bedding. We didn't use the TV's but there were small ones in each bedroom as well as one for movies only in the common area upstairs. There was a bathroom for each bedroom, supplied with lusious towels, as well as one in the common area . There are deadbolts on the bedroom doors, in case you are only using one room. There are two common areas, one on each floor that boost of the history of the mill with comfy seating to sit and visit. There is a gas fireplace downstairs for added warmth and cozyness. There is plenty of room to move around, we had 6 adults and 2 children. The big kitchen table is welcoming and we were given use of the refrigerator and stove. It is well stocked with dishes and pots and pans for use. The general location is beautiful, well into the countryside with the mill nestled inbetween two roads. There are hiking paths close by and a very nice deck and grill for your use. I can't say enough about how cool this place was!
