Situated on the edge of the Appalachian foothills in Adams County, Ohio, the Murphin Ridge Inn and its surrounding 140 acres nestle you in the comfort of the countryside. No matter what the season, the Ridge is awash with color. The Inn offers a cozy stopping place in beautiful, natural surroundings. We invite you to explore our wooded trails and take along a picnic lunch prepared by our chef. Enjoy a game of tennis or relax by our seasonal pool. Read, nap, or play a game of croquet. If you must leave the Inn, take the short trip to historic Serpent Mound, the surrounding Amish community or other nearby attractions. As the sun sets, join us in our 1820s Farm House for dinner, where our chef prepares delicious, fresh regional cuisine. Then, when the candles dim, stroll back to the Guest House to read and chat with other guests in the great room or retire to one of our cozy, modern guest rooms, custom furnished by southern Ohio's master craftsman, David T. Smith. When the sun beckons, enjoy a full country breakfast in the Farm House before beginning another day. Murphin Ridge Inn is a perfect setting for creative work, writing, and conferences. We strive to cater to all our guests' needs. Whether you come for quiet or companionship, relaxation or inspiration, you will find it at Murphin Ridge Inn.

We enjoyed two nights in the 'Encore' cabin and it was a wonderful way to spend our 25 year anniversary. We stayed in the first day because of rain, but we enjoyed the next day with a fabulous breakfast and a hike afterwards. The entire staff was incredibly sweet and very accommodating to our needs, and the place was immaculate! Dinner was a little pricey, but all in all, it was worth it. We will most definitely be back!!

My husband and I have gone the Murphin Ridge Inn a few times over the past few years. We recently started in Fantastic Carols for the first time and loved it. Breakfast and dinner were amazing and the cabin was clean and inviting. Murphin Ridge Inn is an amazing retreat to visit and we look forward to visiting again.

We enjoyed our time spent at Murphin Ridge Inn. The only drawback was the charged 10 dollars more a night than the internet said and the price listed in the room in their reference booklet. The cabin was cozy and the waitresses were nice. However the food was was on the high end for traditional meals. $22 for a regular hamburger, uh no thanks! Won't go back bc I do not feel for the amount of money spent was worth it for what it was.

My wife and I stayed at Murphin Ridge Inn 11/4-11/6 in the main lodge. The double queen room was large, with good sized closet and bath. The shower had very hot water with strong water pressure! They had free coffee and tea in the large sitting area that had a dining table for games or meals, a piano, and several comfortable chairs, with an outside rocking chair porch. The meals are exceptional, from the free breakfast, to the sack lunches and dinner available for purchase. The dinner atmosphere was friendly among other diners and we enjoyed the exceptional service. There is an easy walking path in the forest with Amish neighbors about riding in carriages or on scooters. Quiet, peaceful. They are definitely on our return list, to try a cabin with fireplace and jacuzzi next time.

Nice room, no television was sort of hard to get used to (made us go to bed at 9-9:30). Breakfasts were very good, dinners a bit pricey. Small very quiet dining rooms made us feel a bit uncomfortable.....every one in the room could hear everything we were saying. Couldn't be anonymous. Very far removed from civilization so there were no other options for dinner other than the Murphin Ridge dining room. Would have liked there to have been some some kind of enclosure around the tub, felt like I was out on display in the middle of the room. We enjoyed our stay there but have suggestions on how to improve the experience.

My sister and I stayed at the Murphin Ridge Inn last spring. Our room was delightful, so clean and comfortable with a lovely view. The service was wonderful and the food delicious. We have such a great memory of this Inn, that we will probably travel back that way just to stay again!

This is a fantastic place if you are looking to relax and unwind. The owners are fabulous, and it truly is a much calmer, serene lifestyle for visitors looking to get away.
