Situated on the edge of the Appalachian foothills in Adams County, Ohio, the Murphin Ridge Inn and its surrounding 140 acres nestle you in the comfort of the countryside. No matter what the season, the Ridge is awash with color. The Inn offers a cozy stopping place in beautiful, natural surroundings. We invite you to explore our wooded trails and take along a picnic lunch prepared by our chef. Enjoy a game of tennis or relax by our seasonal pool. Read, nap, or play a game of croquet. If you must leave the Inn, take the short trip to historic Serpent Mound, the surrounding Amish community or other nearby attractions. As the sun sets, join us in our 1820s Farm House for dinner, where our chef prepares delicious, fresh regional cuisine. Then, when the candles dim, stroll back to the Guest House to read and chat with other guests in the great room or retire to one of our cozy, modern guest rooms, custom furnished by southern Ohio's master craftsman, David T. Smith. When the sun beckons, enjoy a full country breakfast in the Farm House before beginning another day. Murphin Ridge Inn is a perfect setting for creative work, writing, and conferences. We strive to cater to all our guests' needs. Whether you come for quiet or companionship, relaxation or inspiration, you will find it at Murphin Ridge Inn.

My husband and I needed a break from the stress of family illnesses during the summer. We retreated to the country at Murphin Ridge Inn for a Labor Day weekend break for one night (all that was available at last minute planning.) We had a delightful afternoon and night in a gorgeous cabin outfitted with a beautiful and comfy king size 4 poster bed, jacuzzi spa tub and spa shower. The property is in a lovely location of rolling hills and farmland in Amish country. The restaurant food is wonderful, well crafted with local herbs and ingredients when possible. One thing to note, there is no alcohol served on Sundays in the restaurant but one can bring your own wine to the cabin! It was so relaxing to unwind by hiking the open very accessible trails, followed by a swim in the pool, and watching the sun set around the fire pit. Friendly people, good food, lovely location. The website is very accurate. I highly recommend the cabins!

Murphin Ridge exceeded my expectations! It was the most relaxing bed-and-breakfast day I've ever had. I love the special finishing touches they add to the place. The gardens, the fire pit, the walking trails, etc. were just perfect! The cabin set up was extraordinary! We very much enjoyed our time there and look forward to coming back during all seasons there! thank you!

My wife and I recently celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary by making a return trip to Murphin Ridge. This has become out go-to destination when we need to relax, eat some great food, and enjoy a beautifully appointed cabin. Every trip to Murphin Ridge has been memorable. Can't wait to go back!

Hadn't stayed here in years and don't know why I waited so long. The staff and service are wonderful. Really love the David T, Smith furnishings. Certainly won't wait this long to visit again.
