The Cabin at Glenking B&B

Loved the trails, their dog Shadow and the fact that they had cornhole and horseshoes for you to use. Close but not too close to Minerva to go to the cheese factory & also to Manfull Orchards in Augusta. The surrounding country scenery is absolutely beautiful. The cabin has a huge picture window that makes you feel as if you're outside even if inside. Plenty of DVDs & books w/info on local places. Slept with all the windows & doors open-very safe! Great choice of breakfast food that's brought to you each night. LOVED the homemade granola! Thank you Marilyn & Chris for sharing this wonderful abode!! We will be back! Judy, Westerville, OH

Marilyn and Chris were both welcoming and accommodating. We really couldn't get enough of the coffee cake. It was delish! We have stayed at MANY cabins and most are NOT this clean. I was thrilled that is was so clean. We had a car break down and they helped us out so much with contacting a mechanic and tow truck. Thanks Marilyn and Chris King for being so wonderful!!! Melissa

The Kings are very nice people to work with. The cabin is nice and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is brought the night before with your choice of fruit, cereal, drinks, and coffee cake. The food was really good and the coffee cake was outstanding! We were greated by a chipmunk when we arrived and the landscaping was tastefully done. We did not get a chance to use the fire pit but the wood is provided. There is a picnic table outside for get togethers as well as a gas grill. The bathroom is larger than I expected it to be, not large but comfortable to move in. We walked the trail while we where there and if you listen you can hear many different birds. The loft has a low pitch on the roof but there are two beds on the floor for additional sleeping. Over all a great experience we only wish we had more time to enjoy the place. We were taking a class and were gone most of the time. Enjoy your stay!!!

Peaceful, quiet environment. Extremely homey cabin and outdoor seating areas. Wildlife, beautiful walking trails and pond. Wood stove is delightful on a cool evening. Plenty of room to spread out. The only thing I didn't care for was the fact that the TV was mounted near the ceiling. I felt it could be at eye level which would allow better viewing. Lots of seating in the cabin, kitchen overlooks the woods. The venue gives you a sense of being at one with the outdoors. Very hospitable hosts. Will definitely go back in the fall!

We spent a romantic New Year’s weekend at Glenking, and our accommodations could were perfect. The cabin was more spacious than it appears on the website, and the wood burning stove made for cozy evenings. Unfortunately, we were not able to fully explore the hiking trails due to weather (rain), but the scenery is spectacular. Marilyn and Chris made us truly feel at home and even provided a pair of hiking boots (since someone forgot to pack theirs). The cabin was quite clean and had every amenity one could want for a weekend getaway or even a week long stay. There is also much to do in the surrounding area. We are eagerly looking forward to a return stay.

The Cabin at Glenking provided me with a very relaxing, much-needed getaway. The cabin is inviting and cozy and the setting is beautiful. The trails are very inviting and gave the impression of tranquility far from the busy world. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The Kings are delightful hosts. This was our second visit to the cabin at Glenking, and we thoroughly enjoyed both visits.

This is a place where you feel at home from the moment you arrive. It's the extreme opposite of the usual sterile hotel room. When you arrive, you simply feel that are entering a place you just left. Whether you want to vacation in a secluded hideaway or use it as a homey base for your explorations, this cabin is perfect for either. And as perfect as the cabin itself may be, the proprietors are warm and friendly. A good part of the homeiness you feel is because Marilyn and Chris are so warm and laid-back themselves. I recommend this B&B with the highest possible rating. I guarantee you will enjoy your stay.

A wonderful little cabin, nestled in the woods, in Minerva,Ohio! I would recommend the GlenKing B&B to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.Everything that we needed was provided and we felt welcome and at home. We caught fish in the pond, watched hummingbirds while sitting on the front porch and saw deer in the nearby field. Being there felt like a breath of fresh air! We will definitely be back to our home away from home!

The Cabin at Glenking makes a great family getaway. We thouroughly enjoyed the well-appointed cabin and the grounds around. Our kids loved the cabin in the woods and especially sleeping in the loft! This is the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle and just enjoy family time and nature.

We love the Cabin at Glenking. We try to go every fall. I live 30 min. away so we use the cabin for entertaing or friends. Girlfriends At The Cabin and then at times we invite another couple to join us. Next year we plan to take our grandchildren. Marilyn and Chris are very kind and accomidating. I found this diamond in the rough while searching out cabins and B&B's that were not too far from our home. I was planning an early anniversary getaway for my wife and me.....God must have been with me in my search as we could not have asked for a more pleasant and beautiful place to enjoy each other's company! The cabin itself is so cozy and authentic.....my wife and I had always wanted to stay in such a place....no we have! The grounds and the trails really shows the wonders of God's gifts! The chirping birds, the falling leaves, the wonderful trees, the beautiful ponds....the list goes on and on. Chris and Marilyn King (the innkeepers) could not have been more pleasant and hospitable. We felt like we were visiting members of our own family, and that made our experience all the better! We are planning a return trip this spring with our little girls, and quite possibly my parents. If you are reading this review, I encourage you wholeheartedly to make your reservation. You will not be disappointed with the peace you will find and the beauty of nature you will experience! We came to Glenking for our Anniversary and wanted a place that was special. Glenking was more than enough for us to enjoy our occasion. The warmth and homeyness of the cabin is remarkable. We never once felt like we left our own place. The grounds were breathtaking and perfect for the October vacation we hoped to enjoy. Chris and Marilyn feel like family, also. So nice and down to earth. We got all the info we needed about the place as soon as we got there. We've been to alot of places and this is as good as it gets. Glenking B&B is a peaceful and relaxing getaway that everyone can enjoy! My husband and I had the opportunity to spend the weekend at Glenking and so enjoyed our stay. The hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. King is delightful and the homemade breakfast treats were delicious. We enjoyed walking the trails, fishing and playing with "Shadow" the dog. My husband and I cannot wait to visit the cabin again this coming winter and see how beautiful it is during the holiday season. We enjoyed a very relaxing 3 day stay in this clean, well equipted log cabin. We liked sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds and listening to the wonderful sounds of nature. We came with books to read and de-stress. We picked a wonderful place to do just that.

it was more then we expected,so peaceful and quiet but jet lots to do for the kids! we will be back next year!

Our one-night stay at The Cabin was wonderful. We loved the woods, the beautiful trees, and especially the birds. The sounds of the woods lulled us into a peaceful rest. The Cabin itself was rustic, perfectly clean, and cozy. The food was perfect and Marilyn and Chris made themselves available while not being intrusive. We would definitely go again. It was just the respite we needed for a short getaway.
