Hidden Gem

5 on November 13, 2014

We wanted a quick little overnight getaway withouth having to travel very far from home. This refurbished dairy barn property was perfect! All of the details in the finishes, the reclaimed wood and iron work used throughout come together to make this a very cozy place. Catherine and Allen were very warm, welcoming and interesting hosts. The breakfast of stuffed crepes with fruit was 5 star! We will return again. Thank you!

Wonderfully relaxing

4.6 on August 14, 2014

We recently visited for three nights, and we're at least 10 pounds heavier because of the awesome breakfasts. Our room was small, but clean - not like we needed anymore room. They took great care in restoring the barn using reclaimed items like the circular stairs from an old leather tanning factory. It was a very nice place to stay and we'd highly recommend it.

A Quiet Fourth

4.8 on July 10, 2014

My wife and I (and pug Henry) were looking for a quiet fireworks-free place for the night July 4th and were very happy with our choice to stay at the Dream Horse Guesthouse. Allan and Catherine were very gracious hosts, the room (Happy Trails) was comfortable and well-appointed, the nearest city fireworks were barely noticeable, and the breakfast the next morning excellent! Thanks so much! Dennis and Kathleen (and Henry)

A Very Nice Stay

Had a wonderful night's stay in the High Horse Suite. Plenty of room and a great view. Will definitely stay there again.

You will not find more comfort elsewhere!

The spa tub was such a welcomed retreat after a long day of travel. I enjoyed every ounce of my stay, but especially loved the decor and breakfast. It was a wonderful experience for a new horse lover. I would highly recommend the Gypsy Wagon room for singles and couples.

What a gem!!

We felt right at home in this unique B & B! Allen and Catherine were so welcoming and kept the coffee and conversation flowing.. We enjoyed seeing Catherine's horses.....critter folks that we are, and we made friends with Allen's cat. They knew the area very well and gave us lots of good advice on where to go and what to see. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and right on time The beds were very comfortable, and it was nice to find a king bed at a B & B. . This is also very close to several relatives who live just over the state line in PA, so we are sure we will be back again!

A Nice Place to Stop

The owners were both very friendly. We had a very hard time finding someone who would accept a gift card and they did. They also accepted us last minute which was such a relief. The breakfast was also very good.

Sisters' weekend

5 on October 02, 2013

My sisters and I were fortunate enough to find a suite to rent at the Dream Horse Guest House in May 2013. After a day of shopping and enjoying our time together, we checked into our "top suite" for a quiet and relaxing evening (after visiting a local winery for dinner!). What a treat and treasure!

What a find.

To think we almost stayed in a chain motel. We found the Dream Horse online while searching for lodging near Greenville for a 50th class reunion. It is truly unique and the accommodations were varied and beautifully decorated in antique period furnishings. Allen and Kathy are wonderful hosts and Kathy makes some killer French toast as part of her gourmet breakfast. If you are in the area DO NOT spend the night at some highway motel, check out someplace that will make your stay in this area quite memorable. Mike and Sue Burns

Fantastic B & B

Thanks to Alan and Catherine, my family had a wonderful peaceful place to stay during a stressful time, my Mother’s funeral. The Dream Horse guesthouse provided us with an outstanding peaceful environment. Our Host’s were so helpful and attentive to our needs. We hope to be back for an actual vacation one day.
