    Innkeeper Information

    Innkeepers Description:

We fell in love with this old Victorian home the moment we walked in. We both enjoy meeting people, making new friends, love entertaining and had always dreamed of opening a bed and breakfast. Brad retired after 28 years in the Navy as an Naval Aviator. Carol is an artist who paints photo realistic tropical flora. Originals, reproductions, and products of her work are showcased throughout our beautiful home and on the Gallery walls in the Parlor and the gift shop.

Webster defines perfect as being lacking in no detail, complete, flawless. These are the words to describe the Grand Trillium Inn. From entrance to exit it is relaxing, enjoyable, sublime, and gorgeous. The owners are gentle and amiable and soon become people you welcome into your lives. They have taken a historic house and with love and dedication have turned it into a welcoming home. The Grand Trillium is the perfect place for doing it all--sightseeing, shopping, antiquing, etc--or doing nothing but relaxing.

Truly a grand place in every way!

After four days and three nights at the Grand Trillium, we can say unequivocably that it is just as advertised...a grand place to relax and be pampered. The house is a trip back to an elegant era; the woodwork alone is worth a visit, and the restoration of the property is clearly a labor of love. Our room with its "melted chocolate" walls and pristine white wood was as inviting as the four-poster bed with its pillow-top mattress and luxurious sheets. The basket of amenities was delightful, especially the rubber ducky with a lei. Breakfast was a gourmand's pleasure, the themed meals as beautiful to look at as they were delicious. (Try to be there for Saturday's pineapple-shaped Spam slice next to sausage patties, banana/macademia nut pancakes, fried egg and fruit bowl.) Service was attentive and warm. Carol and Brad were born to this occupation. They provided excellent advice on things to do in historic Kenton, saw to it that we had time on the inviting porch, and somehow managed to do a turn-down and place a Ghiradelli dark chocolate square on each pillow without our knowing when that was done. We are eager to return! Susanne and Bill, Vulcan. MI
