We had a wonderful time at Whispering Oaks Bed & Breakfast. From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we knew that it would be a tranquil place to stay and it far exceeded our expectations. Debbi & Mike Sowder provide excellence service and offer their guests a peaceful atmosphere that will always be memorable.

Had a really nice time at Whispering Oaks. Very scenic, great owners, delicious breakfast. Highly recommended.

Looking to avoid the typical interstate motel options on a quick business trip, I was certainly more than pleasantly surprised by this exceptional lodging opportunity. Arrived near dark, without a reservation, and Mike & Debbi were more than accomodating under the late-day circumstances. Spacious newer home adapated to a B&B...only one suite, which wasn't available that night. Other rooms are basically sized for sleeping, which is fine, especially given the room to roam across the 57 acres of the property. It was a bit late in the year to take advantage of the pool, and wasn't outfitted to use the hot tub, but the hiking/walking trails through the woods were just right after a terrific breakfast. Easily accessible and fast wi-fi service, large & inviting dining porch, great pool area...and horseshoe area, too...now that's something you don't see everyday!

My husband and I had our wedding at Whispering Oaks just a couple of days ago and it was completely magnificent!!! Debbi & Mike bent over backwards to make sure that our day was special! We were offered space to get ready and our own bathroom! The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. ( Our wedding was a sun down wedding with tiki torches and japanese lanterns!) Every single guest complimented the location and the friendliness of Debbi & Mike! We could not have picked a better place to get married and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect! I can't thank Debbi & Mike enough for all that they done to make our wedding a true Twilight wedding ! A group of us girls celebrated a fortieth Birthday Bash, and what a great place to do that. We rented out the whole place. There was plenty of space inside and out. Pool house, Gardens , Swimming pool , Trails, fire pit, Hot tub, Main house has several spaces for gathering and just hanging -out. Clean and Homey. You really don"t get how much space there is from the pictures.Debbi is so nice and helpful. She even help arrange Pedicures on site and Massages nearby . And just let me say the breakfasts were huge and DELICIOUS! You won't need another bite until dinner time. I would definitely go back.

Although our trip to Whispering Oaks B&B was short and rainy, we really enjoyed ourselves. We wanted to plan an overnight trip somewhere in Ohio for the Labor Day weekend. Stumbled upon Whispering Oaks online and knew it was a place we would like. We were able to swim in the pool before it rained, hit some golf balls, take a quick walk on the trail, use the hot tub (!!!) and paddle boat! When it started raining, we enjoyed relaxing downstairs and playing pool. My fiancee and I are both 21 years old and we went with a couple friends the same age. This place totally proves that bed and breakfasts' can be fun at any age! Our room was wonderful, and having access to the great room upstairs was awesome, we played a lot of Wii up there. Breakfast was delicious as well. Thank you so much for letting us stay, we can not wait to plan our next trip!

This place is beautiful and secluded. We will definitely stay here again.

The room was small but we knew that we were booking a smaller room (the larger bedrooms were already booked). Everything was VERY clean, both inside the home and the grounds around the house. Plenty of room indoors to relax, play pool, watch TV or just enjoy a quiet drink. The gardens, pool area and other attractions around the lawn and surrounding woods were outstanding. We would surely stay here again!

Our family enjoyed hanging out in the rec room, and relaxing in the very comfortable living room. We took advantage of the hiking trails and horseshoes, but, most of all, the kids LOVED the pool!

This is a great place if you like the outdoors. The hiking trail is beautiful and secluded, and the water feature in the back is so peaceful to sit beside. The pool and indoor facilities were adequate, with plenty of spaces to relax. Honestly, it didn't feel too much different from home, though, with some areas that could use some attention, the mildewed towels being our main complaint. The breakfast was over the top delicious!

Thank you for your input. I guess out of 54 reviews , I should not be disappointed if one person finds things wrong. As far as the comment about mildew on towels, I am sure that was an isolated event due to the towels being folded before getting completely dry. The housekeeping staff has been alerted to this. We make every effort to keep all areas of the B&B very clean. In fact, my husband accuses me of having "dirt vision ". Most guests will compliment the housekeepers, so this statement really surprised me. I am thankful you enjoyed your breakfast and hiking trails. Please come again soon!

We needed to get away for a few days and whispering Oaks was the perfect place. The pool and gardens were very relaxing. You feel like your out in the country but Dayton is only 30 min. away. We will definitely return to Whispering Oaks.

Enjoyable weekend stay. Inkeeper was wonderful with my food allergy. Only negative in dining was an 8:30am breakfast...the other B&B we had been to gave a window of time, but it was larger so I understand a single eating time with a 4 bedroom inn...we were just planning on sleeping in more. Facilities were beautiful. I was surprised to find that I had to leave our room to go to our private bathroom-I had packed with the assumption that since we had our own bathroom, that I wasn't going to need to go into a public hallway. I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant so it was bothersome to get decent every hour...but would not be an issue if I wasn't pregnant and I had packed correctly. I did find robes in the closet for the second night which was very helpful. Pool and hiking trails are very nice for a good weather weekend.

Thank you for your wonderful comments! Bed and Breakfast travel is a little different from regular hotel stays, that adds to our quaintness. Many B&B's have been converted from a single family residence, so it makes the accomodations a little unique (such as bath room located across the hall). The next time you stay, please check out the Willow Suite. This room offers a full private bath located in the room with a jacuzzi tub. We look forward to seeing you again soon and keep us informed about the baby (boy or girl, I know you did not know). Take care!

This was our first experience staying at a Bed & Breakfast and to say we were happy about our choice, is an understatement. Very nice, clean and very private. Slept very well in the Willow Room, didn't even know there were other guest. Debbie greeted us upon our arrival and was very pleasant and welcoming. We would stay there again!!

This was our first stay at Whispering Oaks. The place sits back 1/3 mile off main road and is very quite. Room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Debbie and Mike are great hosts and Debbie serves an excellant breakfast. We recommend highly. Andy and Judy (6/3/12)

What a beautiful wedding venue!! I couldn't have planned a better place to have my out of town guests stay and then they didn't have to drive any place as we had the wedding in the yard, not just any yard. It was gorgeous with flowers and decorations in my colors. The Inn keeper was very helpful and even played DJ when there was a need. The reception was inside in a fabulous big room that fit the wedding guests perfectly. Our caterer Buckeye Jake's went beyond a caterers duties and served the guests like a 5-star restaurant. Afterwards we retired in a wonderful pool with our guests. Everyone was refreshed and delighted on the warm day. While there we fished, used the paddle boat, played billiards, swam, read books, had great fellowship and a wonderful wedding. As beautiful as the bed and breakfast was the best part was the hospitality of the inn keepers, Mike and Debbie. We can't thank them enough for helping make our day special.

We arrived on a Tuesday evening for a one-night stay. Debbi Sowder greated us and was our hostess throughout our stay. She was very congenial and helpful. The rooms, house, and grounds are all excetionally nice. Our room was very comfortable, quite, and clean. The breakfast and conversation with Debbi made our visit very enjoable. We'd highly recommend!

We stayed this past fall at Whispering Oaks B and B.It was beautiful! We hiked thur the woods and did the scavenger hunt. My husband fished in the pond while I sat on the bench and read a book. Breakfast was delicious! Debby likes to incorporate fall foods in her menus. Cant wait to stay again!

I absoulutely loved Whispering Oaks! The innkeeper, Debbi was very hospitable. The place was so peaceful and clean as well as beautiful! One of my favorite things was the trails and the treasure hunt on the trails. It was a blast! I also loved the breakfast! The beds are comfy and there is lots to do. I also enjoyed fishing and sitting in the water gardens. I already have decided on the dates that I will be going back!

Mike and Debbi are wonderful hosts! We were able to spend time with our freshman at Miami's campus during the days, then come back and get to know other Miami parents out by the fire pit with Mike and Debbi in the evening, and at breakfast in the morning. The weekend we were there, all of the guests were Miami U parents. Debbi's breakfasts were wonderful!

My husband and I stayed in the Willow Suite for 3 nights at Whispering Oaks while celebrating our anniversary. Our stay was fantastic and we couldn't have had a more relaxing and perfect getaway! Debbi and Mike were great and made our stay very comfortable with a clean, friendly, classy, and inviting room and facilities. The jacuzzi tub in our private bathroom was so luxurious while the shower with shampoo/conditioner/shower gel dispenser was an added bonus (PS: all the bathrooms had these dispensers and a blow drier). Our room was larger with a very comfortable queen bed, desk, dresser, and closet (with robe and iron/ironing board). The pond with plenty of bass and bluegill (we caught over 20 fish the two times we went out) was very close to the main house and made our stay extra special. The poolhouse was great with a bathroom and full fridge and a nice big grill poolside. The pool was clean and included a waterfall and slide. The amenities at this B&B exceeded our expectations and the presence of a small golf course, garden, hiking trails, horseshoe pit, and volleyball net on top of the other activities already mentioned would provide entertainment for guests with various interests. They also mentioned that they are planning on putting in a hottub in the next month! Debbi made our stay very welcoming by sitting out fresh treats in the evening and keeping ice water and coffee in the dining room. Breakfast every morning was to die for and was filling and well-rounded. The guest sitting room was comfortable with a couch and soothing music. The ambiance created through the whole house and the little special touches helped make the experience even more relaxing. Even though all 4 rooms were occupied 2 of the nights we stayed there, we would not have even realized there were other guests except for joining them during breakfast in the morning. We couldn't have asked for a better stay or host and will be staying again very soon!

There's not an accommodation in the area that could compete! It's more that just a place to stay, there's quite a bit of additional activities available set out away from the main road yet near the necessities. Debbie has a gem of a place and very hospitable, you won't find a breakfast like the one she serves in the setting she offers. Very nice all round, don't waste you money on another hotel if you're near Whispering Oaks!

We were looking for a "girls weekend" getaway and this was perfect. I almost hesitate to write an outstanding review because I'd like to keep this place to myself LOL. Peaceful, relaxing, and what I would call a "hidden treasure". We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Debbi and Mike for creating this wonderful atmostphere. Our visit was the end of July 2011.

We had a wonderful and very relaxing stay. We never felt rushed or hurrried. We loved the trails and sitting out by the cabana. A wonderful place to stay. We plan on going back!

First of all, when I say " met my expectations" I need to explain that I have high expectations. So, I was very happy when I got to Whispering Oaks and knew right away that I had made the right choice to stay there. It is the best kept secret in Eaton. I felt like I was at my friends house and being taken care of. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and Debbi even had a fan in case you are like me and love the noise or air movement. The house is very clean and comfortable and offers privacy and quiet. The pool was delightful to say the least. Breakfast was wonderful and was served in the sunroom which offered a view of the beautiful backyard with waterfall. My husband and I were extremely happy with our stay, I am so glad we stumbled upon W.O.

My husband and I stayed here as a little getaway from the kids. The room was attractive, clean, and comfortable. The interior of the rest of the house is very beautiful, and the owners put a lot of effort into making guests feel at home, including 24 hour access to coffee and tea, pastries and snacks, and ice water,. The grounds are equally lovely, with a large pond with fountain, and plenty of woods and trails to walk around. And to top it all off, there is a nice sized pool where guests can relax with music (you can bring your own CDs are listen to what they have available) and a drink. The attention to details and attractiveness of everything impressed us and we will definitely come back.

Our stay at Whispering Oaks was very satisfying. We felt so relaxed. The grounds are beautiful. Sitting in the sun room for breakfast was wonderful. Debbi made a spectacular breakfast both mornings. We enjoyed great conversations with Debbi. We will definitely go back to stay at Whispering Oaks.

What a wonderful spot for any retreat - short or long. We stayed for the Miami U. graduation and it was perfect, a short drive to campus and an enchanting location. The serenity of the woods combined with absolutely delicious breakfasts, what more is there to say? We want to come back in the summer and enjoy poolside. Deb and Mike are perfect hosts, and provide valuable tips for the best places to eat, drink and hear live music in Eaton. Enjoy!

Whispering Oaks was an outstanding place to stay. Debbi was the perfect hostess and a great cook as well. It was our first stay ever at a B&B and now will serve as a springboard to other B&Bs in the future. Would highly recommend Whispering Oaks for its rustic setting and privacy. We were three senior citizen ladies looking for a safe place tucked away somewhere with great food and service and we found it ALL at this B&B!!! The hostess was "the mostest" and we all three left feeling very cared for and pampered. Would highly recommend this GREAT GETAWAY to anyone!!!

After being aggravated that Eaton had no real accommodations for visitors, I happened across this wonderful B&B. Taking a chance, I stayed for two nights at Whispering Oaks during Easter weekend 2011. There was no risk involved, except for maybe the historic amount of rain in the region at the time. The room was great, exceptionally clean, with a TV, books, and DVDs for your down time. The dining room is open to the foyer and has a great view into the back yard and it's lovely landscaping. Breakfast was a real treat with pancakes, fresh berries, scrambled eggs, and sausage the first morning. The following day I had the quiche, sausage, and portobello mushroom combo which is highly recommended (and although I enjoy fresh mushrooms, I'm ambivalent to cooked ones). Mike and Debbi are two very accommodating owners. I cannot imagine anyone having any issues since these two waited up until 12:45 AM (both legs of my flight into Dayton were delayed due to said rain) to welcome me. And Debbi apologized for not having fresh cookies in my room upon arrival! Their attention to detail is rather remarkable and I cannot say enough about it. As for Eaton, I already have the same room booked for the Preble County Pork Festival which I enjoyed every year as a child and look forward to taking my own kids there for the 2011 edition. For Miami University parents who are tired of the Oxford stay, aren't too fond of Hamilton, and find Richmond, IN too far, please consider this B&B! You will really enjoy it, from the heated swimming pool, to easy access to Rt 127, the enjoyable meals, the great innkeepers, and the local attractions. I highly recommend this B&B and look forward to bringing my entire family here when we visit my family in Eaton.

Whispering Oaks Bed & Breakfast is a tastefully decorated modern house in a beautiful setting. Debbi is a gracious hostess who strives to cater to her clients' needs and is very sociable. She prepares an elaborate breakfast. The house is spotless. There is a lovely sun-room in which to sit and read or socialize. The only fault we could find was that the Hickory Loft room lacked ventilation and got very warm and stuffy due to its location under the roof and windows that don't open. The other rooms would have been much more comfortable but offered only one bed. Overall we highly recommend Whispering Oaks and we enjoyed Debbi's amusing anecdotes.

We have had plans to correct that when the weather warms. In the winter months it is perfect. Warmer weather, it tends to get stuffy. The weekend you were here was an unexpected warm weekend this time of year. New ventalation is planned to be installed in the next couple of weeks. Once again, thank you for staying with us. My wife and I had a great time this past weekend at Whispering Oaks Bed and Breakfast. Mike and Debbi were very hospitable, and treated us very well. They even upgraded our room at no cost when another family had to cancel due to illness. This was much appreciated!! The breakfasts were well prepared and carefully planned. Debbi opened up other parts of her home to allow us to feel relaxed, comfortable and right at home. The only desire that I had which was not fulfilled was the lack of sufficient cable/satellite television in the room, which would have been nice, especially in the evening when things slowed down. However, it allowed my wife and I to spend a lot of quality time together, which was very nice!! All in all, for our first B&B experience, it was fantastic!! I would highly recommend Whispering Oaks Bed & Breakfast to everyone...you will not be disappointed!! Thanks again Debbi!!

I am so glad you let us know about the cable situation in your room. Someone must have unplugged it at some point and the stations had to be set up again for that HD flat screen TV. This is the best B&B we have ever stayed at! Wonderful rooms, exquisite food, and quality service! This is one B&B that will not let you down!

As a Christmas/V-day present for my wife, I booked a room at Whispering Oaks for the weekend of February 5th. We'd never done a B&B before, so we went in with few expectations. Upon arriving, my car got stuck in the snow and ice at the end of the driveway, but the innkeepers were helpful and friendly in helping to dig us out. While we only saw Mike once, Debbi Sowder popped in and out, serving snacks and the like during the day, and even offering restaurant recommendations in both Eaton and nearby Richmond. We stayed in the Willow Suite, and were the only guests that weekend. The room itself was tastefully furnished, though the bed felt somewhat small for a queen-size and was exceptionally soft/springy. The bathroom was done in wood paneling, giving it the appearance of a bathhouse or sauna. The jacuzzi, though, showed its age, and may need to be replaced soon--the panel covering the intake fell off while we were in it! Breakfast was traditional fare--a ham and egg tart with Hollandaise on our first morning, then blueberry pancakes and bacon on the second. In both cases, they were served with coffee, juice, and a tasteful fruit cup. What made Whispering Oaks really nice for us were the little touches that Debbi put forward. Corresponding via e-mail, she asked whether we were celebrating anything special. When I mentioned that we were staying for Chrstmas/V-day, she left a bottle of red wine on ice for us in the room, and a small cake for us in the recreation area. She even text messaged me at one point, while we were out, telling us that she had set aside a snack for us upon our return. Whispering Oaks is particularly scenic, though we did not get to enjoy many of the amenities due to the snow and ice. However, I'd like to go again, perhaps in summer, when their grounds are more accessible. For a first go-round with a B&B, this was a quality choice.

This was such a wonderful romantic getaway for my husband and I. I don't think we have been that relaxed in years. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Debbi was such a gracious host and a great cook. The location is also secluded enough that you feel cut off from the rest of the world but close enough to such a variety of things to do in Dayton, Eaton and Richmond. I can't recommend this place enough. It truly does deserve the 5 stars.

Debbi and Mike were great hosts to our New Years Eve outting. Three couples stayed and we all enjoyed ourselves. The B&B site was amazing. We cannot thank them for making our stay wonderful.

Debbi, I just wanted to Thank You for keeping Whispering Oaks B & B open for me to stay there while You were away. Your son Brian was such an impressive gentleman. It was the Perfect Place for my “Me Time”! So Secluded, Peacefull and Calming! The house and the grounds were so beautiful covered in snow it was a Heavenly experience. The Jacuzzi in my room was perfect to sit and relax with a glass of wine. My bed was so comfy-cozy I even sat my computer in the bed with me. Looking out the window in the morning at all the beautiful snow covered grounds made me not want to leave my room. I think people should stay here just to get away from their everyday routine. It would be Perfect for a Romantic Getaway. Who would have thought I’d find tranquility right here in my own hometown. I grew up in this area and am totally amazed that such a beautiful and elegant place is located in Eaton,OHio! Mr. and Mrs Sowder are totally professional but accessible and friendly at the same time. This was a sad occasion for us and generally, we would have had to stay in Richmond, Indiana to get our 3 families accommodated from out of town. At Whispering Oaks, we got to catch up, cry, laugh and feel right at home. I'm not a Bed and Breakfast frequenter, but certainly, our family will feel like we can all come visit at the same time again because of the ease and comfort provided by these innkeepers! thanks so much for this find.....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We were fortunate enough to find Debbi and Mike's B & B for our family to stay in while we were in Eaton for my Dad's funeral. They were thoughtful and considerate hosts, accommodated our comings and goings, and provided space for us to re-connect and enjoy each other's company during a stressful and sad time. We look forward to planning another, more cheerful family get together at Whispering Oaks!

When we approached the inn, we knew that we made the right place to celebrate our 39th anniversary. Debbi and Mike were welcoming innkeepers. The decor of the home was traditional with tuscany hints. The room was beautiful with its wonderful linens, warm quilt, and antiques. The breakfast was presented in the family room/rustic porch. The breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed conversation with the other guests. Debbi made sure we had directions to the inn and a casual restaurant for dinner. We visited the Air Force Museum prior to our stay and we plan to return next year. We visit B and B's at least three times a year and we were pleased with our expectations at the Whispering Oaks Bed and Breakfast.

Whispering Oaks was an amazing place to spend a weekend. Not only were we in a beautiful room and house, but the breakfast was also great and the dining area was beautiful (sun-room with a view of the woods and a small pond). We got to hike right on the property and also sat outside reading for quite some time. They also have a golf range and a pond where you can fish! It really was far more than we expected, especially because Debbi and Mike were so welcoming. We felt right at home!

We stayed in the beginning of Oct. and the room was warm and welcoming as well as the couple. The breakfasts were delicious and so creative.

My husband and I had never stayed at a B&B before and didn't know what to expect. The Innkeeper made us feel like family. Breakfast on the first morning sold us on her cooking skills. Thanks to her dads skills on making homemade salsa. It topped it off. The Inn is beautiful and cozy. We will definitely visit again. The Trouts

My sister and I do an anual get-a-way each year and this was the best we've stayed at in a long time. Beat any hotel and/or lodge. Loved relaxing in the pool and reading in the lounge chairs and walking a wonderful walk - lots of room. Next visit will include husbands and another couple for a great time away and yet close to our homes.

My preteen daughter and I had a wonderful "mother/daughter getaway" at this B&B! We enjoyed the pool, the hiking trails, and the paddle boat. Debbi went out of her way to provide a DVD she thought we'd like and had a bowl of popcorn waiting for us, too! The breakfasts were simply delicious, the house and the grounds are beautiful, and Debbi is really nice; I'd love to come back some time soon! (Maybe this time with my husband! :)

We had a limited time stay but was pleasantly surprised by a relatively new B & B. The pool and the surroundings were excellent. We hope to return sometime in the fall for a longer visit.

I was just looking for a nice place to stay while searching "The World's Longest Yard Sale" on Rte. 127 and this was my greatest find! Secluded in a cozy wooded setting, this bed & breakfast was homey and filled with happy energy of the innkeepers, Debbi & Mike. My room was very comfortable, the linens were luxurious and I had a lovely view of the surrounding woods and wonderful pool area. The grounds are very peaceful and inviting. Debbi is a dynamo! She went out of her way to accommodate all of the guests and make sure any special requests were met. And, she is quite the chef! The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. My husband and I just spent a great weekend at Whispering Oaks. We did not get to stay at the place as much as we would have liked due to wedding festivities but the hostess was SUPER flexible and gracious for us and the property is absolutely stunning. We loved the pool and the grounds are breathtaking - you can tell that the owners really take care of their property and they want you to be comfortable. They have DVDs you can watch in your room, little snacks and she even made me chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast! I wish I could have spent more time there because they have a pond for fishing, a volleyball net, etc. Hopefully my husband and I can come back and actually ENJOY everything the next time. (That was our fault - not the owners! They were SO flexible with our timelines because we were involved in a wedding) I highly recommend it!

My husband and I were also in for our daughter's graduation from Miami University. First of all, the property is just beautiful and Debbi and Mike make you feel like family immediately. We could not have asked for better accomodations and the food is amazing. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer and have time to really enjoy all that this B&B has to offer. After staying at run down hotels and state park's in the past while visiting Miami, it was refreshing to have such a clean and inviting place to stay. My husband is not normally the B&B kind of guy but after staying with Debbi and Mike, I think he is convinced to come back. Me met their son Brian and I must say what an impressive young man. Great family, great house, great everything! Hope to return soon, Dixie and Larry.

May 13, 2010 Our family of ten gathered at Whispering Oaks to spend the night before my daughter's graduation at Miami U. Debbi went to great lengths to make sure our group could be accommodated comfortably. We brought along our own picnic dinner to enjoy on the spacious, well-maintained grounds. Debbi filled in all the gaps-providing table cloths, serving platters, wine glasses, etc. As daylight faded, Mike built a fire and gathered adirondack chairs so we could settle into a into a cozy circle. When it began to rain we moved into the well-appointed dining room, where Debbi provided coffee and fresh-baked cookies to accompany the cake we brought with us. After a good night's sleep/showers in spotless bedrooms/bathrooms, Debbi made a beautiful breakfast brunch to work with our schedule. We all enjoyed our stay, from my 13-year-old nephew to my _-year-old mom. (She wouldn't want me to tell). So here's 10 thumbs-up for Whispering Oaks.

It was special to have these guests celebrate their anniversary with us. They took a hike on our hiking trails and saw deer, squirrels & rabbits. We were blessed to have been chosen to help them celebrate their special occasion.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting our daughter at Miami University. The hosts are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and wow, can they cook!!! They bend over backwards to make your stay the best it can be. Our daughter decided she would join us the first night and Debbie made sure she had a rollaway cot available for her use. We even enjoyed a "bedtime snack" before retiring for the evening -- german chocolate cake one night, brownies the next, with the most flavorful orange infused water and decaf coffee. Breakfast is a culinary delight which you must experience to believe. Our bed was just lovely and the coverings were snuggly and warm, but we felt the bed mattress to be lumpy and well worn and my husband and I both sank to the middle, which is why we rated the room and value a little lower than the other reviewers. But don't let this stop you from staying here. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a new mattress on the bed already, as soon as they realize this. They take great care of their guests and bring hospitality to a whole new level.

Whispering Oaks was my first experience at staying at a Bed and Breakfast and it was wonderful. Upon arrival I was told to make myself at home and I actually felt that I could! The decor, the ambiance, the conversations were warm and inviting. I felt welcome and at home.

My husband and I stayed at Whispering Oaks B & B in December, 2009 for a much needed get away. We chose the Willow Suite because we liked the idea of the private bath with a jacuzzi. We took a tour of the beautiful grounds earlier in the evening and was relaxing in the cozy sun room having an evening cocktail when it decided to snow (the first snow of the year) it was absolutely beautiful seeing this marvelous place all covered in glittering snow, magical in fact. We felt like we were at a Resort or Lodge far away. We loved our suite, the bed was very comfortable, and the jacuzzi was great, the room was decorated nicely and also very clean. It had all the amenities that we needed. We awoke very refreshed in the morning, looked out the window at all the beautiful snow covered grounds and I did not want to leave. We then had a delicious breakfast prepared by the most gracious hosts you could find. Our overall experience could not have been better. We have stayed in B&B’s before but this was by far the most enjoyable. We will definitely be getting our reservations in for our next visit.

What a wonderful experience my husband and I had at Whispering Oaks B&B. We visited in late fall right after they opened. The weather was beautiful so we were able to enjoy the property by taking a walk in the woods and my husband was able to do a little fishing in their pond. We stayed in the Willow suite (it is definately worth the extra money, the jacuzzi tub is awesome). The bed was so comfortable, I loved the pillows and down comforter. The owners are friendly and make you feel at home during your stay. Breakfast was excellent both days but my favorite was the homemade biscuits & gravy! It is hard to believe this is a new B&B, the owners have it together and I would highly recommend to stay there if you are visiting the Ohio/Indiana area.

If your looking for a really relaxing and comfortable place to stay, check this place out. The food is WONDERFUL and the owners are very, very nice and FUN!!!

We have traveled to many B&B's around the USA. Eaton, Ohio is blessed to have such a high quality establishment in their town. The scenery was breath taking in the fall. Our room was decorated with comfort and luxury. The blueberry ricotta cheese pancakes melt in your mouth. Mike and Debbie, the owners were very accomodating and helpful about the area.
