My wife and I stayed for eight nights at Manchester Hill Bed and Breakfast. This Circleville B&B was our departure point to explore the nearby Indian Mounds. Starting with Hopewell Culture National Historical Park in Chillicothe, we found all the sites we wished to visit in easy drives from the B&B. (Hopewell Culture NHP has a useful guidebook to the Adena, Hopewell and Fort Ancient sites in the Middle Ohio Valley.) We found the cottage to be quiet, very comfortable and homey, and the bed was very comfortable. Within a couple days, between the country air, the chicken, the geese, the peacocks and the goats, we began to truly relax. We definetely will return again. Jenni and Patrick took good care of us and were very accomodating with my wife's low fat dietary requirements. Free WiFi can be found at the Circleville Public Library on North Court Street and the Bob Evans on Route 23 for those who need to stay in touch.

    chickens,roosters and peacocks too!

This was truly a different experience for us, such as hearing the roosters in the morning. The bed in the cottage was very comfortable and the dinner was a little pricey but worth every penny! It was truly delicious and we recommend the dinner for anyone who visits!

It's a lovely farm with a cozy, adorable cottage and fabulous food (fresh homemade pork sausuage was the best! My husband and I were welcomed warmly and encouraged to explore the area. The animals were a real treat, as well as Jenie and Liam's tour of the grounds and "play by play" of the maple syrup process- yum! The homemade noodles and jams, fresh eggs, and maple syrup were too wonderful not to take home! Worth the trip and a return trip!

    Great weekend getaway!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the cottage on the Manchester Hill Estate a few weekends ago. We were immediately treated like we were part of the family! What we really loved about the cottage was that it held much of its original charm while still having many of the modern day amenities we are all accustomed too. After an amazing breakfast Jenie and Patrick gave us a tour of the estate and the chickens, goats, and ducks were great to see. This was truly a more memorable stay then any hotel experience we have ever had. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Manchester Hill Estate.

    Charming and relaxing weekend trip!

We were in town visiting friends and family and decided to stay a night in Jenie and Patrick's bed and breakfast. We arrived much later than expected and they were both so understanding and got us settled in quickly. The garden house was so cozy! I loved the reclaimed barn-wood accents, definitely more comfortable and personal than any hotel room could be. The high ceilings and open layout really maximized the space. I loved the bathroom, the raised tub with the open windows was very relaxing. Waking up to the sunshine and the chickens was a nice relief from the loud city life. And if the details are in the fabric, they have it all right because the bed and sheets are probably the softest and most comfortable I have ever slept in. The only downfall was that we were only able to eat one meal there, breakfast. It was delightful and I am curious at what else they prepare for other meals. The cinnamon apple pancakes with home-tapped maple syrup and the raised-pork were delectable! I loved the food so much I ended up purchasing BBQ sauce, dry-rub, and syrup, which are all remarkable. The gardens were beautiful, the whole package was such a wonderful change from the loud city! We will definitely be making another trip back!
