I arrived at the White House Inn quite accidentally after getting caught out in severe weather while motorcycling. It was late and I was tired. I was concerned that the room wouldn't be nice/clean/etc. I quickly found that my fears were unfounded. The room was very nice as were the owners. Another pleasant surprise was to find that there was an attached bar and restaurant. The food and beer were both very good and reasonably priced. Enjoyed visiting with Jim and his wife. The wait staff even stayed late to ensure that I had enough beer. :-) I may need to rethink my auto-pilot Holiday Inn Express stays since staying at an Inn like this allows you to meet great people and experience "true America." Highly recommended stop.

Very pleasantly surprised with comfort and cleanliness of the room. Staff is very friendly and food is very good, too. Away from the tourist crush of Cooperstown and great for HOF weekend.
