Fantastic place to stay - can't wait to go back!

    January 09, 2013

My husband and I stayed for several days in August 2012. It was absolutely fantastic! Jennifer was awesome and took great care of us. It was such a laid back atmosphere. There were so many highlights from this wonderful experience in Woodstock. Some of my favorites include: sitting on the front porch while soaking in the environment, talking with other guests, being able to spend a lot of time at the Sanctuary, getting a great education about animal compassion, etc. I could go on and on. The environment was relaxing and a great way to unplug from my hectic life. The Guesthouse is a short drive into downtown Woodstock where there are great vegan/vegetarian restaurants (as well as plenty with omnivore food). I highly recommend the Guesthouse and can't wait to go back.

    A sanctuary for the soul

    January 29, 2012

I spent a snowy, winter weekend at The Guesthouse and I was transported from my busy life. The house is charming and warm. The open kitchen, with windows that allow you to view the animals on the farm and the mountains in the backdrop, is open and is really "yours." My room was cozy and the house cats, Errol and Leon, made it all the cozier because this cat-lover begged them to sleep with me -- and they did! I enjoyed hot coffee on a snowy morning and prepared my own hot breakfast before setting out to greet the beautiful residents of the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. I've already booked my next stay.

    What a wonderful weekend!

    January 08, 2012

What a wonderful weekend! I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful bed & breakfast. What better way to start your day than with a cup of coffee on the porch looking out at a pasture full of happy rescued sheep and goats? My room was decorated in a fun farmhouse/eclectic style. As a stressed out New Yorker, getting to spend time with the farm animals was so therapeutic. It was great to have a relaxing weekend while knowing that the full cost of my room was going to support the farm. I plan on visiting again soon and highly recommend staying here if you're looking to get away. It is great for kids too! Heidi Manhattan, NY
