Even though we had a confirmed room “Nirvana” – it was not available to us the first night and we had to shuffle between 2 rooms. It is odd that the mix-up occurred in the first place and that we were not notified until our arrival that evening. And we were not compensated in any way for this – it was just a very matter-of-fact sorry but this is how we are dealing with this issue. More importantly, my mother had called the B&B looking for me & my husband when she could not reach us on our cell phones, she tried the phone number for the B&B which I had left her. I had given her the B&B phone number as it is listed on the website. But to my surprise she was told by the person who answered the phone that the number was not for use except “only during certain hours”. This makes no sense. My mother was made to feel she should not have called that number and that no message would be given to us. And no message was given to us. Had this been any type of emergency, we would not have known. Since she was told she should not call that number, and because she thought the conversation had ended, she hung up. The host called her back immediately (caller ID I imagine) and chastised her for being rude and hanging up. I realize the host did not know that she was speaking with an elderly 85 year old woman who is legally blind and hard of hearing, but regardless, the behavior by the host on behalf of the B&B was unacceptable and very disturbing to me. I’ve stayed at many B&B’s and have never had anything like this happen.

My daughter and I stayed here in June of this year. The house is above and beyond one of the cleanest places I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. There was fresh fruits and breads....milk and juices in the fridge, the rooms were immaculate and the entire home had such a wonderful smell throughout. I would not only stay here again, but it is highest on my recommendation list. It is on a quiet cul de sac and is in such a nice quiet neighborhood. We are actually planning on attending to 2013 Belmont Stakes;, and you can be sure we will stay here again!

I liked the stay in this traditional wooden house. The tasteful interior decoration and the kind innkeeper gives you a cozy and warm feeling. The street is quiet, with low traffic noise, but the house itself can be noisy, due to other guests with completely different wake-up and sleep rhythms.

If you want a place to stay near the Nassau Colosseum this B&B is wonderful... Quiet, extremely well appointed and comfortable. Almost like staying at a family members home only with better accomodations :-). Loved it and will return again.
