Guests of Echoes of the Glen are thrilled with its location and its atmosphere. It's just a short drive to visit the WGI race track, Finger Lakes wineries, The Glenn H. Curtiss Aviation Museum or Corning Glass Museum. But the number one reason guests love it here is because of the short walk to the Watkins Glen State Park Main Gorge entrance and to the restaurants, shops, marinas, beautiful Seneca Lake views from the Pier and the International Motor Racing Research Center. Awaken to the aromas of the homemade muffins or kuchen. Sit down to a delicious, homemade breakfast of freshly ground coffee, teas, hot cocoa, freshly baked pastries, juice, fruit and a different hot entrée each morning. Now you're ready for the day of hiking, wine tasting or driving around the track! Guest's rooms are touched up daily during their stay (unless the guest asks for us not to). Beds will be made, trash emptied, bathroom touched up and wet towels will be laundered and replaced.

A weekend away with friends and wonderful hosts. Echoes of the Glen is the epitome of what every B&B should be. Welcoming and comfortable in every respect.

We were going to be in Watkins Glen for just one night, and just about all of the places to stay have a two-night minimum - we lucked out that Echoes of the Glen was willing to accommodate us as they had one spare night between two other reservations! The house is lovely and had everything we needed. We even took advantage of the common living area and watched a movie after our dinner. And breakfast was delicious! There was a little outside patio that was super cute - if we'd been there longer, I would have loved to site outside with a cup of tea and enjoy the garden. Overall, I highly recommend staying here.

Staying with Barbara and Tom is like visiting family. The welcome and atmosphere is warm; the breakfast delicious! (Barbara went out of her way to accommodate dietary needs!). The rooms are nicely done with ample closet and drawer space. The bathrooms have skylights ( a plus) and plenty of hot water (also a plus)! We have visited with Barbara and Tom twice and look forward to the next time! Betsy W.

My wife and I stayed here over a weekend in November. We've stayed at several B&Bs in the Finger Lakes and this was one of the best. Our room, though not huge, was well laid out and appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts were terrific. Barb and Tom were very accommodating and took a genuine interest in their guests' enjoyment of their stay. We plan to return.

The owners were very nice and helpful. The place is super clean. And breakfast was amazing. If you left hungry its your own fault. Our room was very nice. And the owner told of a great place to eat. My husband and I are planning a trip to stay there again.

This B&B is run fantastically. I stayed there almost 5yrs ago and the experience was equal and as consistent as I could have imagined it to be. The owners are very, very kind and thoughtful (same since 2005). They have created an atmosphere that is just clean, warm and very homely. I felt relaxed and welcomed from the minute we pulled into the driveway! Morning breakfast is made to perfection and both Tom and Barb are well educated in the local area as they can suggest quite a few things to do, to say the least... We will definitely be back as it was a pleasure to stay there once again! Anthony & Cydney

We stayed in the Park Room. Very nice and clean but really small. If you are over 5'10" you will be headroom challenged in the bathroom ceiling, toliet and shower. No TV, small closet. Other rooms may have been bigger. Tom and Barb were great hosts, very friendly. food excellent. Right across from Gorgeous Watkins Glenn Park. Nice place ask about room sizes.

The Merrills are the friendliest innkeepers we have ever met. We stayed in the Park Room on the second floor, warm and cozy, adorable bath with a skylight over the sink and standing shower. Barb's breakfast was wonderful with apple kuchen and fresh fruit (with raspberries she picked the day before) and pancakes and sausages. We liked that coffee was ready in the sunroom when we came down in the a.m. Tea and cocoa also available. We enjoyed chatting with other guests while Barb was preparing breakfast. Barb and Tom are happy to answer any question on the Finger Lakes Region. After visiting the wineries, it was so nice to enter into this lovely home. You really feel welcome here. Will definitely visit again. Lorraine and Edmund

Barbara & Tom Merrill
Barbara and Tom grew up in this area...Rock Stream and Odessa. After spending 34 years away from the area, raising their family and working in different parts of the country, they came back to their roots in 2005 to open Echoes of the Glen Bed and Breakfast, which reflects the history of racing, the area's wines and the Watkins Glen Gorge. Their own collection of racing posters and photographs makes the stairway and upstairs hallway a gallery dedicated to the racing history of Watkins Glen.
