This home, the spacious rooms and the hostess are awesome! We stayed in the king suite and had plenty of room to spread out and for a todder to play. Carol was over the top accommodating and gracious! We felt so welcomed and comfortable. We shall return to hear more about her beautiful historic home and the town of Seneca Falls. She is a wealth of information!
It's always a pat on the back to get such a glowing review, and we sincerely appreciate your time reviewing your stay. We are so fortunate to get such lovely guests who enjoy the benefits of the personal touch of our B&B. Thank you!

My husband and I spent a weekend at the VanCleef Homestead. We loved every minute of it. The place was so cozy and beautifully decorated for the holidays. Carol was such a pleasure. She was so sweet and accommodating. When she learned that my husband and I wanted to spend a day hiking, we awoke to find a map highlighted and annotated to show all the various trails and parks to hike and cross country ski. It was so helpful. She ALWAYS had cookies out with tea and hot cocoa available. Her breakfasts were delicious - and filling! I told her it should be called Bed&Brunch because my husband and I were way too full to get lunch after one of her meals. Carol is just so sweet and caring. I've been to my fair share of B&B's, but Carol and the VanCleef rise to the top. I usually don't take time to write reviews, but I had to for this one! Visit! It is a great location for outdoor activities but also walkable to historical sites!
It is wonderful to have wintertime guests who appreciate a warm and cozy place to stay and enjoy the great Finger Lakes outdoors. Thank you for your generous and kind comments about your stay. Love it when not-so-busy time of year allows me to pamper my guests even more, and I get personal conversation time to get to know them. It was a treat to have such a lovely young couple enjoy our home. Thank you.

We had a great time - we pre arranged a late arrival, and Carol was waiting for us when we arrived. The food was great. We will be back in the area again and when we do we will stay with Carol.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our bed and breakfast. We are grateful for return guests and will enjoy getting to know you better!

We had a lovely weekend. The house is very comfortable and relaxing. Lots of nice touches, like magazines and brochures, a little fridge with cold drinks and a stocked bathroom in case you forgot something. The meals were tasty and generous. The dining room table was beautifully set and everything sparkled. We asked for a local newspaper the first morning and there wasn't one but there was the next morning! I would have liked a teapot at breakfast. We would stay here again.
We appreciate your lovely comments about your stay. It is a pleasure to have guests who appreciate the little touches that make your stay more memorable. Thank you, also, for your comment about the tea pot. I have nice individual tea pots for guests, but more than not, they have gone unused when I have put them out. I will be sure to provide them in the future. Thank you!

The innkeeper of the VanCleef Homestead B&B was generous and made our visit to the establishment a memorable and pleasurable experience. We would definitely stay there again if we return to the area.

Everything about this B&B was perfect .. Carol our hostess was the best, she looked after us .. even a pot of tea at 11pm when we arrived .. very late and very tired after driving all day ... The whole stay was amazing, the only downside was that we didn't stay longer! Rooms gorgeous ... just perfect .. well recommended ...!
Thanks for your kind comments about your stay. Even though these guests were on a whirlwind tour through Upstate NY and Niagara Falls, they were very interested in maximizing their time in Seneca Falls - our historic society, downtown, local eateries, etc. So glad I could be a part of their US experience! Thank you, ladies

Carol was a very welcoming hostess who treated us to tea and cookies upon our arrival. Our bedroom and bathroom were exceptionally large and were furnished with antiques. There were many books to read in our room or we could sit in the adjacent, large living room. Breakfasts were delicious. All in all it was a memorable experience.

French Toast made with Amish homemade bread, baked with fresh fruit, such as blueberries, apples, or peaches. Our guests have told us we should find another name for this dish, as the term "French Toast" doesn't do it justice!
