Like being home, exept my house isn't that nice!

    March 21, 2013

As a documentary video producer, I travel a lot. In February, 2013 I stayed at the Rose Garden in Rochester. Good choice and the price is reasonable. Cindy and Lou are expert innkeepers who make guests feel like they are home, not on the road. Biggest single factor is the attention to detail. From furnishings, to amenities, to customer service, the Rose Garden is among the best lodging experiences I've encountered including B&B's in Europe, most of the US and across Africa and the Middle East.

A must for a weekend in Rochester!

    January 15, 2013

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Rose Garden B&B for a wedding this winter. The house was beautifully decorated and cozy. We stayed in the Rose Cottage Room and had our own detached bathroom with a bath tub. Cindy and Lou asked in advance what sorts of things we would like to have for breakfast and came up with two great meals during our stay. We are gluten free and mostly dairy free and they were happy to accommodate! When my boyfriend decided to go on a sledding excursion while I was having my hair done with the bride, Lou even lent him a pair of snow boots! Both hosts were friendly and extremely helpful if we needed extra items during our stay (an ironing board for example). I hope to come back and stay in the Spring or Summer to see the roses in bloom, but the Winter Wonderland was also beautiful! I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast if staying in Rochester, NY.

    Quiet, Comfortable, Pretty Rooms

    October 28, 2012

My daughter and I stayed in 2 different rooms on a recent visit - the large English Rose room and the newly added Sunflower Room. Both rooms had great beds, adjoining private bath, and an extra bed. This charming B&B is beautifully restored, serves large, delicious breakfasts, and warmly greets all guests. We both loved the Rose Garden B&B and look forward to returning.

    Exceptional

    October 09, 2012

We stayed in the English Rose Room at the Rose Garden Bed and Breakfast for three nights during the 2012 Rochester Fringe Festival. Everything about our accommodations was exceptional: our wonder hosts, Cindy and Lou; our lovely room; the most delicious breakfast cuisine and its beautiful presentation; ease of parking; and close proximity to all Rochester attractions.

    A birthday to remember

    August 12, 2012

Cindy and Lou are fantastic! In my travels I found that there are two types of B&B owners; those who are trying to turn a profit and those who sincerely enjoy hosting. Cindy and Lou are of the latter. They go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Their hospitality is unmatched! Don't believe me? See for yourself. Book a night or two, see all the wonder Rochester has to offer. Then end your evening by sitting on the porch and have a conversation with your hosts that goes beyond your typical small chat. Did I mention that the food is fantastic? More than my wife and I could eat. Fresh and full of flavor. Great variety. Menu changes daily, so if you stay two nights there will not be a repeat. Ask Lou if he is cooking potatoes. They are the highlight of the meal! Dan

    A wonderfully romantic stay

    July 22, 2012

Exquisite Victorian decoration. Stained glass in nearly every window. Spotless. Cindy welcomed us into her home and made us comfortable. Lou prepared a delicious breakfast of Apple stuffed French toast, diced potatoes, sausages, and a slice of pie, all served on beautiful fine china. More worth mentioning: the porch, the garden, the decor, the rooms.
