Storm King lodge is a delightful place and one that I would recommend to others. The surroundings are beautiful and numerous activities are easily assessable from the Lodge. However I have one comment and one that if you are there for a lesiurely stay may not matter to you. As guests of the lodge, we requested our breakfast seating for 0900 and planned our day accordingly based on leaving the lodge right after eating. Unfortunately, breakfast wasn't ready for us at 0900 and we had to wait until 0925 which caused us to have to shorten our day in the area. I believe with additional help and/or planning, breakfast seatings might go smoother in the future.

We arrived with a scant three hours notice and were warmly welcomed by Hal, our stellar host. Our room had a lovely fireplace, the ambience was perfect. The post and beam barn had been converted beautifully and was a great space to relax in front of the large fireplace in the great room with the Sunday Times. When you stay there ask for the frittata, it is delicious! We look forward to going back in the summer to enjoy the gorgeous gardens and pool. We travel constantly and Stormking stands out as a "we must go back" place to stay, a rare thing in our lives.

We had a wonderful experience staying in the guest house adjacent to the main house. My family including my 80 year old parents and two sons found the accomodations to be absolutely comfortable, clean and most relaxing. The breakfast and service along with the attention to detail from the owners and staff was outstanding. We're going back!
