Built by Captain Wells in 1859, Wells House has been a fixture in the North Fork community for over 150 years. In 2008, owner Vince Albert Icolari renovated Wells House to be an elegant and luxurious bed and breakfast. Filling the Tuscan-styled home with antiques and antiquities he has collected over the years, Vince has created the ultimate experience in style and sophistication, while maintaining a sense of comfort. As one guest noted, “I know I am not at home, but it feels just like home”. The exquisite abode boasts two guest rooms, each filled with a carefully curated selection of antiques and fine furniture. Each guest room comes with its own private bath and shower. On the ground floor, the Great Room offers a spacious, yet inviting space for guests to enjoy a cup of tea or a glass of wine. Guests are also encouraged to relax on the home’s covered porches, breathing in the fresh air of Long Island’s North Shore.

If you are not a fan of beautiful surroundings, DO NOT GO! If you have no appreciation for luxury and attention to details, DO NOT GO! If you can't enjoy soft sheets, plush towels and robes, DO NOT GO! If a gourmet 3 course breakfast served on antique china and crystal is not for you, DO NOT GO! If you can find a more gracious host anywhere else than Vince please GO THERE! We love the Wells House and are pleased to have stayed several times with more visits planned already. Truly a brilliant gem in Greenport! Dianne & EP M.

Vince was so interesting! Place was filled with amazing artifacts...very private. Bfast was awesome and eclectic. Just wish the bathroom was attached to the room and it had a bigger bed.

My wife and I discovered the Wells House B&B Easter weekend of 2012 for a 2 night getaway. Vinceis a very entertaining host and his breakfast is to die for. We ate so much every morning we even skipped lunch both days. We returned in 2013 for another weekend getaway that was even better than our first. I highly recommend a trip to Greenport with a stay at this fabulous B&B.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Wells House. As a family history researcher, I felt as if I took a step back into history when I entered this 1850s captains house. The building has been beautifully restored by it's owner, Vince. We will definitely be returning soon.

My husband and I spent our Christmas weekend at The Wells House and truly had the best Christmas ever! Everything about this B&B is elegant and luxurious, without losing the historical B&B charm. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The food was delicious. And Vince and Fran were kind, gracious, and fun hosts. I absolutely recommend The Wells House. My husband and I can't wait to return!
