Charming B&B, even more charming hosts

    March 03, 2013

My teenage son and I stayed 2 nights at the Art House in December 2012. Our hosts,Michael and Rosalind were absolutely charming and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable - from providing restaurant and sight seeing recommendations, driving us to a restaurant on our first night there, and organising cabs for us. We stayed in the Master Guestroom which was fab...especially the steam bath in the bathroom! We wish we could've stayed longer. Thank you Rosalind and Michael, and your wonderful team, for making our 3 days with you absloutely lovely! Shyamala (Singapore)

    Gorgeous!

    January 16, 2013

The house and rooms are absolutely stunning. It is tasteful and elegant without being pretentious. Michael and Rosalind are warm, intelligent, and friendly hosts. We stayed on our mini honeymoon and were the only guests at the time. At first we felt a bit awkward, but after having a delicious breakfast cooked by Michael and talking with both of them a bit, we felt competely at ease. Both hosts are artists and have their work displayed throughout the home. We loved it so much we bought one of Rosalnd's paintings as a souvenier of our honeymoon and this place. We are a blue collar couple (even at their much reduced off-season prices, the two nights we spent here were nearly a month's salary), but that is the ONLY reason we probably won't be back. Were money not an object we'd become regulars. I would recommend them to anyone!

Living in a work of art.

    December 24, 2012

The Art House was put together piece-by-piece as a labor of love. The attention to detail is extraordinary. It is simply beautiful (and lots of fun too!). Both Rosalind and Michael are active and passionate artists who are a pleasure getting to know. In the morning, a very tasty breakfast awaited us. It closed out our two-day celebration of our 25th anniversary and will give us lasting memories. I would say The Art House is the best and most interesting bed and breakfast on Long Island. I just wish we had more than one night/morning to stay.

    Wonderful

    November 20, 2012

What a beautiful home and what lovely people. Me and my husband wanted to spend a night out east for dark skies, so we decided to treat ourselves to a nice b&b. The room was luxurious, the breakfast was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the owners and visiting their art space as well. We look forward to the next time we can treat ourselves here again.

A beautiful B&B in East Hampton that provides a truly luxurious experience. Peaceful location 5 minute walk to beach area. Gracious and generous hosts. Large, clean and luxurious bedroom, state of the art bath, and a feast for breakfast. Pricey but would definitely recommend.

    Gorgeous B&B!!!

    September 26, 2012

I am sure someone at the house, will translate my review. I wrote it in Spanish to express myself better and to inform latinamerican people. Andrea y Daniel

    A wonderful surprise

    August 23, 2012

This was my wife's and my first stay at the Art House. Truly unlike any place I've stayed in a long while. Michael and Rosalind, the hosts, assured that we (and all guests) were treated to a getaway that was meant to be unique, comfortable, relaxing and well served. Our room was uniquely and artistically decorated with all the ammenities of a five star hotel in Paris. From in room steam, sauna, whorlpool bath to a sumptuous breakfast/brunch cooked to order by an on site chef, the Art House offered an excellent alternative to staying "in the village". But the best part of it all is the attention to detail that creates an atmosphere of comfort, service, value and quality you will not find anywhere in the area. A true jewel of a find run by people dedicated to making your stay a special time. We will be back.

    Superb getaway

People could not be nicer or more attentive. They have access to the beach in the quietest part of East Hampton. Area fabulous for bike riding, and they have excellent bikes to borrow.
