We enjoyed our stay at the Willow Tree Inn while visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame, Kim and John were great hosts. The Inn is a piece of Americana in a beautiful country setting. The room was comfortable. The breakfasts were terrific and they cook to order, whatever you would like. One of the reasons we selected this Inn was because we could bring our dog. Our stay was very comfortable and a great value.

When we arrived at this gorgeous antique home, our room was ready and John was immediately helpful in getting us settled. John and Kim were very friendly with tips of things to do and easy directions to locate those things, including Dreams Park (where our grandson was playing baseball). Breakfasts were freshly made and delicious! A charming bed and breakfast!

The hosts were very helpful with suggestions for dining in the area. Breakfast was quite good although basic and the same over both days of our stay. Homemade biscuits, jam, eggs any way, slab bacon, sausage, coffee, OJ, etc. King bed in room 5 was very comfortable. AC worked well. Property has a lovely pond. Free with fi didn't always work. Loved the homemade cookies in the afternoon, and refrigerator case full of fee soft drinks.

The room was cozy and warm, the bed was comfy, and the beverages, soaps, and breakfast provided were all nice, and the people were very friendly. All in all a great place. Only problem we had was that my fiancee's allergies were acting up a bit because they allow pets, but that's on us for not noticing that.

Breakfast was great. Room cramped and bathroom not as nice as anticipated. Overall, a nice stay.

Location is in the country but 15-minute drive from the Hall of Fame/town. John is a gracious, friendly host who unobtrusively made himself available to answer questions about the area and with whom to have interesting discussion. He's owned the B&B for 2 years and is making improvements. The home has potential but needs more work. It's a Civil War-era house in need of some maintenance but is indeed livable and comfortable. The common living room, complete with fireplace, is need of furniture update and more work. The backroom common space (where the TV is located and near kitchen) was inviting and comfortable. The breakfast was first-class and made to order, complete with homemade biscuits and jam. We had the room above the dining room (I think #5) facing the road. Didn't seem noisy, even though we kept the window open, probably because the road is not heavily traveled. Room is large but somewhat austere. Shower was small but workable (hosts provides toiletries). Scenery is beautiful and serene. It is quite reasonably priced and a good value.

We enjoyed our short stay very much. John was a wonderful host and the breakfast was outstanding! Our room was comfortable and cozy. We would consider staying there another night if we are in the Cooperstown area again!

The Willow Tree Inn is a delightful combination of old country and modern. Hosts John and Kim have updated the farm house of this old sheep farm without diluting the country feel . The rooms are lovely, the atmosphere friendly and inviting, and the food was wonderful - John's delicious biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, homemade goodies - absolutely a terrific introduction to the B&B scene. We loved it, and we'll be back soon.

I stayed over hall of fame weekend and it was a true highlight of my trip. Upon my arrival, Kim was about ten minutes from finishing some cupcakes she had just about baked. She walked me up to my room which was so cozy and the bed was so comfortable I could have stayed in the whole day and been happy. After a nap and a bath with some fabulous homemade soap, I took the short drive into town for food. The drive is beautiful as are the grounds at the b&b. after dinner, I watched some tv in my room and had a great night sleep. In the morning I woke to the smell of bacon. Downstairs Kim made me eggs and the fresh biscuits were the perfect way to start the day. I was so sad to leave and had such a great stay I wished I could have stayed longer. I will be back and look forward to John and Kim's wonderful hospitality.
