All the individually decorated rooms have cathedral ceilings and picture windows facing the lake. Each room has a private bath, cable color TV with HBO, telephone, hair dryer, small refrigerator, individually controlled AC/heat, and at-the-door parking. All rooms are non-smoking. Enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee every morning with a complimentary continental breakfast of toast, doughnuts, or danish. Easy access to our beach with paddleboats, fishing, and a picnic area with barbecue grills.

My wife and I came to Cooperstown for the weekend to do the Beverage Trail (3 breweries, 2 wineries, and a cider mill). We stayed at Hickory Grove because of its proximity to the beverage trail. Our room was very clean and was also spacious. It was just right for our weekend away. Staff was also very accomodating. Nice place.

This was a motel with a very light offering for breakfast, not the traditional b & b feeling. To list it under a b & b is misleading. Coffee was not available until 8:00 am, late for many people, and the room did not include a coffee maker. The location is fine for those visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame and Cooperstown in general. It was quiet, clean, roomy, and the staff was pleasant.

From Buffalo: NYS Thruway to Exit 30 (Herkimer). Take Rt. 28 south approximately 15 miles. Turn left onto Rt. 20 east. Stay on 20 east about 5 miles; make a right turn onto Rt. 80 for five miles.
