We got in after dark plus it was raining a lot, so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful area and grounds of the motel. It was a good value with a limited continental breakfast. It was what we expected and wanted for the nights stay close to Cooperstown. Only drawback was no bathtub for my wife. Just a shower.

This was a very nice place to stay. The rooms were clean which is the number one thing with me! For a cold breakfast there was a lot of variety. Wish there would have been a bathtub and not just a shower, but we dealt with it! If we ever come back to Cooperstown would definitely see if this place was available!

Hickory Grove offeres everything one needs for a quiet, get away while experiencing the excitement of the Glimmerglass Opera festival or the museum attractions in Cooperstown. Our room had a lovely view of the Lake, air conditioning, ceiling fan, fridge and a clean shower, spacious bathroom and comfy beds. The back deck and garden offered lounge chairs for quiet reading or watching the stars. The sweet little beach was a delightful place to swim in the refreshing lake between shows. Our hosts were charming. It was a perfect, low key hide away convenient to all of the local attractions.

My wife and I came to Cooperstown for the weekend to do the Beverage Trail (3 breweries, 2 wineries, and a cider mill). We stayed at Hickory Grove because of its proximity to the beverage trail. Our room was very clean and was also spacious. It was just right for our weekend away. Staff was also very accomodating. Nice place.

This was a motel with a very light offering for breakfast, not the traditional b & b feeling. To list it under a b & b is misleading. Coffee was not available until 8:00 am, late for many people, and the room did not include a coffee maker. The location is fine for those visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame and Cooperstown in general. It was quiet, clean, roomy, and the staff was pleasant.
