Hello and Welcome! Your Host Christopher Lavey The Parkside House stands only two blocks north of the home that Frank Lloyd Wright loving called "The Opus," and consdiered the finest and most complete example of his Praire style: The Darwin D. Martin House. One block to the west stands another home built by Wright, the Walter V. Davidson home, commissioned for a friend and co-worker of Darwin Martin. Only 7 minutes from downtown, and 10 minutes from the airport and no less than 8 college campuses; The Parkside House's central location makes it a very practical spot as well.

    This B&B is a treasure

    December 29, 2010

My husband and I stayed at The Parkside House when we were awaiting news about possible cancellation of our trip to Spain. The House is tastefully decorated and renovations are well done. It is extremely clean. The beds were really comfortable. Chris prepared a delightful breakfast for us. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone interested in staying in Buffalo.

    What a find!

    August 23, 2010

I was googling for a good location, just something with wi-fi that would be near the art museums. It wasn't until I arrived that I realized how good the location truly is--blocks from Buffalo's outstanding examples of Frank Lloyd Wright houses, Frederick Law Olmsted's Delaware Park, and the Albright Knox Gallery. And the B&B itself is a living museum, such a well-restored piece of the kind of domestic architecture typical of Buffalo's turn-of-the-20th-century heyday. Yet please do not take that to mean that the ambience is "museum-piece," because it is very lively: the proprietors are so interesting and fun to talk to, there's wonderful art on the walls, a grand piano, and an inviting porch. The rooms themselves are very attractively furnished with all kinds of comfortable touches. I stayed in the Jewett Room, which has the most decadently divine bathroom. I wanted to luxuriate in the large claw-footed bathtub and read, but there is so much to do practically right outside the door that I resisted the temptation to overindulge in "hydrotherapy." I cannot believe my luck in stumbling upon something so ideal in every way.

    Best in Buffalo!

    July 11, 2010

We decided to stay in Buffalo because of its close proximity to Niagara Falls (20 min.). When we travel, we love staying at B&B's. We took a chance staying here because we had not yet read a review of The Parkside House. Hands down, best travel decision we have ever made! Not only are the accommadations exquisite, the innkeepers, Chris & Johnny, are very eager to please. Chris, the resident chef, with over 20 years of restaurant experience, prepared a delicious breakfast for us every morning of our stay (8 days). Everything was excellent, especially the stuffed french toast, which was to die for! Chris, a Buffalo native, is very knowladgeable about both Buffalo and the surrounding area. We have stayed at B&B 's throughout the U.S. - Napa Valley, Colorado Springs, & New Orleans. Our stay at The Parkside House has been the best experience we've had thus far!
