    A must stay!

In North Brooklyn Mod-Lodge is the best. Our first 2 days were spent in Hotel La Jolie overlooking a noisy highway with a box of a room & entry that looked like a jail. Mod-Lodge was the opposite with a entry that was a beautifully landscaped garden. The room it self was an interesting L shape with furnishings that were ultra modern. [ it also cost half the price] This place is definitely a must stay.

    Quiet Place in Pleasant Neighborhood

    September 18, 2012

We stayed in the rear of this small wooden townhouse in the quiet and safe Greenpoint section of Brooklyn. With the crazy room prices around New York, I can definitely recommend staying here: it is a good value. I also like the area nearby very much because of the assortment of affordable restaurants - French, Italian, Thai, Mexican, American and Polish (it is a Polish neighborhood) and the many bars that come alive at night. Took a walk all the way to Williamsburg which took about 30 minutes and had lots of fun looking around there. It is more lively in Williamsburg -- while Greenpoint is less of a hotspot. The room itself was fine enough, though nothing fancy. The shared bathroom is down some steps from the room. The back yard is a very pretty surprise. I will be back here next time I come to NYC.

My partner and I stayed at Mod-Lodge in September of 2012. The inn keeper was very nice and the rooms were modern and comforatble. The proximity of the inn is close to Manhattan and other nice areas of Brooklyn. We would definitely stay here again.

Cool place AND a garden to relax in!

    September 14, 2012

Mod-Lodge made for the perfect vacation. We liked the fact it was so unique & that our stay was very comfortable. PS call the local car service number supplied by the owner. We were ripped off by the yellow cab driver.
