Welcome to Hilltop House Bed & Breakfast, a lovely rambling asymmetrical shingle style home built in 1909. Located in the beautiful and historic Hudson Valley, amidst a bevy of beautiful horse farms in the Berkshire foothills. Hilltop House is a great weekend getaway with a cozy 'home-away-from-home' atmosphere.

Hilltop House is exactly as advertised, and Sandy was a lovely, non-intrusive hostess. We so enjoyed eating on her porch and looking out on the beautiful lawn. Was a completely worthwhile experience—and the beds are amazingly comfortable.
Thanks so much for the nice review! I'm so glad you enjoyed our porch!

This was our first B&B experience, and it was definitely worth it. The place was very clean and well decorated. Sandy made sure we were comfortable, but also gave us enough privacy, which was important to us. The food was pretty good, as they hide a wide array of bagels, muffins, but also served hot food like eggs, french toast, and bacon. We would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend it.
Thanks so much for the review! We're glad you enjoyed your first B&B experience!

The inn is located in the rolling hills of New York State away from big city life. It provided a quiet atmosphere with some excellent dining nearby.

Very pretty Victorian home, tastefully decorated. Spacious and welcoming living room. Comfortable beds; though full, it was never noisy. A generous breakfast but I would urge the owners to invest in a hot plate, to keep items warm.
Sigh.....trying to keep food warm is something I am forever worrying about. It would help to know what wasn't warm enough so I could figure out how to remedy the problem. I do use a warm water server to keep the eggs warm, but a hot plate may be the way to go for things like pancakes and bacon. There is a fine line between keeping something warm and burning, but thanks for the heads up. There's always room for improvement.

This was our first visit to upstate New York and we thoroughly enjoyed our week- end at the Hilltop. The home is beautifully restored and maintained. Sandy was a delightful hostess and we felt at home. Our Washington room comfortably accommodated three of us and the adjoining bathroom was huge and recently updated. It was amazingly quiet and peaceful even though all rooms were rented. The details were lovely including the softest comforter I have ever slept under! Although it is a long trek from Iowa, we hope to return.
Stretch out your legs for a peaceful rest in our antique cannon bed. General Washington is said to have stayed throughout the valley, perhaps he slept here.
An antique chaise compliments the lovely white antique dresser and night stand. The pink rose wallpaper and crystal chandelier’s subtle lighting sets the mood for a romantic weekend in the country. The shared bath is just down the hall.
The rustic appeal of this bedroom is pure and simple adorned with beautiful antiques. This room has its own elegant private bath.
Dragonflies float about the room’s walls with a comfy double sized bed. The shared bath is conveniently located just down the hall. This room’s interior door leads into the Sunshine suite for guests in need of additional space.
This sunny yellow bedroom has a wonderful crystal chandelier over the bed with a luxurious private bath. An interior bedroom door opens to the Firefly bedroom to a spacious suite, additional charges apply.
