We stayed here in 2010 as our son was a freshman at University of Rochester and we came up during Family and Alumnae weekend. The location is beautiful, right along the canal. Pictures of the tree right in front of the Inn do not do it justice. The food was great and Dave had such fascinating stories about the area and the inn's history. They were also a great help with some interesting places to visit and directed us to a beautiful waterfall in a small town.
5 out of 5A wonderful, comfortable place to stay

We stayed one night here while biking the Erie Canal. It was such a nice place to stay. the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting on their back porch, in the shade reading and watching the activity on the canal. Would definitely recommend staying here.
5 out of 5What a wonderful stay. We're going back!!

My wife and I went to Adams Basin Inn for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. There were several reasons why we selected Adams Basin. We both love to bicycle and kayak. The proximity to the Erie Canal provided us with easy access to both. Aside from enjoying the bike trail and canal, I have to say that after staying at numerous B&Bs, this has become our favorite. The room was spotless, the breakfasts were superb, and Pat and Dave (the owners) were absolutely fantastic. I guess the true test of whether you like a place or not is are you willing to go back and recommend it to a friend. We’ve already made our reservations for a return visit next August, and my wife’s sister will be going as well. Need I say more?
