Situated in the town of Genoa, Nevada's first settlement, this historic home was built in 1858 and has been completely restored as a Bed and Breakfast. The White House Inn sits on nearly an acre at the base of the Sierra's just 20 min from Lake Tahoe and Carson City. The property offers guests a chance to relax and enjoy old world charm with all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Each room includes luxurious beds & linens, Wi-Fi, cable, a flat screen TV, a DVD player, & a private bath with heated marble floors. The staff is always willing to help guide you on the many adventures available and answer any questions you might have Re: local activities, dinning, etc. With advanced notice We are also willing to pack you a lunch for any hiking or biking adventures for an additional fee. The White House B & B is within walking distance to several restaurants from 5 star to casual, 2 parks, 2 museums, gifts shops and several Antique shops for your discovery. Just 2 miles down the road is a Hot Springs & Spa with a Nature Trail to and from Genoa which meanders through the wetlands and offers you many opportunities to observe a multitude of wildlife and birds. In addition to being a Bed & Breakfast we are perfectly suited for small or large gatherings be it your wedding day, Birthday celebration, group retreat, retirement party, etc. Weather you are staying with us or sharing your special event we will make your time with us one to remember for many years to come.

We really enjoyed our stay and we will be back. We felt we were really welcome, sat with the owners and innkeeper and their friends around a nightly fire in a unique fireplace with wine and food. the room was very comfortable and clean and we slept well. Genoa is a unique little town, near Carson City, Minden, Virginia City and Lake Tahoe.

The White House is everything right in the world. The grounds, the house, the rooms and the beds, couldnt be any nicer. During the times that we have gone, the owners, and Inn keepers have both been there, anything you want, any suggestion that you may make, are taken to heart. When you stay there, you are part of the family, you aren't just a guest renting a room. This is a family business in small town USA, privacy when you want privacy and friendship and conversation by the fireplace when that is what you are after. Breakfasts are simple and unpretencious, but with a nice twist, I hope when you go, you will enjoy it as much as we have. I can hardly wait till next year.

My husband & I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend upon a recommendation from the woman with one of the little antique shops in Genoa. We had the entire house to ourselves & it was very cozy, romantic wood burning fireplace, heated bathroom floors, and lovely songbirds in the garden. I definitely recommend it.

Our neighbors told us to travel to Genoa to SEE the sights! We made the trip from Truckee California never expecting to stay the night...and we stumbled upon the Inn. The White house Inn was really sweet! It is centrally located so we walked to dinner at Le Ferme which is divine. We loved the comfortable bed and breakfast was really great and served at 9 instead of 7:30 which was a treat for us. I will stay here again. Genoa is a gem!
