Bedervale is one of the most interesting colonial homesteads of Southern New South Wales. Designed by John Verge and built between 1836 -42 it was the family home of the Coghill/ Maddrell family until 1973 when the Royds family moved there. The homestead still has the Coghill/ Maddrell family collection, now owned by the National Trust, which can be viewed by appointment. $15 pp with minimium cost per tour $50. Bedervale is a working, grazing property with scenic views to the town of Braidwood, Mount Jillamatong and the coastal range.

Bedervale's front gate is situated at the south end of Monkittee Street Braidwood, NSW. Coming from Canberra, Monkittee Street is the last cross street going out of town on the main highway to Batemans' Bay. Bedervale homestead is 2.8km from the front entrance along a gravel driveway
